Chapter 3

Elona's POV

I looked at our house for the last time, "I'm sorry, Aunt Brenda, Lia, but I really can't stand your mistreatment of me anymore.” at once, I turned my back and walked away from there.

‘Where will I be going now? I don’t know also...’

The acrid just made me laugh. Maybe I'm a murderer in my past life, so I'm just so unlucky now.

I just stopped suddenly in the middle of my deep thought, because of the excessive force of the wind hitting my face.

I suddenly looked behind me as I felt as if someone was watching me.

Trembling I approached the lawn where I could see something moving from there.

“W-Who’s there? Is anyone in there? ” I said out of nervousness. While slowly looking if who is in there.

"Moew!"

"Oh, horse!" at the same time I hold my own chest. “It's just a cat, that cat's color is beautiful, who owns it? They’re too careless, ” but wait? I really saw something before, a shadow. Whatever. I left there at once and just continued my walk.

Honestly, I don't know where in the forest I've been, because I've just been circuling around here! I don't know where on the continent I am now. I am still weak in direction.

“Where am I? The saleswoman said, this is the road to the terminal. But this is a forest! ” I feel like a fool to myself. As I was in the middle of my walk in this thick and scary forest suddenly there was a thunder and lightning very loudly. I was immediately scared and clung to my own body. Simultaneous running.

As I ran, I didn't notice that there was a large rock in my path, which caused me to stumble, "Ouch!" I moaned once I held my left knee because of the pain it caused.

"I’m really unlucky in life," I just stood up and continued my walk once again.

I was still walking on my heels, hoping to find a house where I could stay. But that's impossible. I noticed that someone was still watching my every move, so I immediately looked behind me while I couldn't avoid nervousness and sweating because of the fear I was feeling right now.

I know someone is really watching me from a far… I felt it.

"W-Who's are you?" I mentioned at the same time the touch of very cold air on my face again. So I closed my eyes immediately. I felt even more nervous when it suddenly blew again and there was lightning in the very dark sky. But I'm more compared to before, it's stronger now… so I'm even more scared and I can't help but run again.

I need to get out of here, but how? It's like I'm losing hope of living, if I had just let my aunt pour hot water on me earlier, I wouldn't have gotten so tired running here.

I was even running on my heels while my sweat was dripping on both my foreheads. I don't care about my wounds as long as I just get out of this jungle. Because of my concentration on running, I did not realize that there was a precipice waiting for me at the end. But it was too late for me to stop.

"Ahh…!" I shouted loudly and at the same time I fell hard on the rocky ground here, causing me to wince in pain.

Am I dead? Am I only up to here?

"O-Ouch," I moaned softly from falling into the ravine. Maybe I was conceived of weeds because I’m still not dying to this day. I just smiled bitterly at the absence.

Why is my life unlucky? I’m not doing anything wrong, am I? Did my ancestors curse me in the afterlife to experience this?

I smiled bitterly once again. How unfortunate.

I couldn’t help but question myself at the same time as my tears fell as I stared at the very clear sky.

“Can I die now? A-I don’t want to live anymore...” I said softly to myself as I writhed in pain from the wounds I sustained from falling into the ravine earlier. I feel like I will lose consciousness at any moment.

If anyone hears, please… help me… I don't want to die yet. If god will provide me another life, I will gladly to receive it.

But in the distance, I saw two pairs of large feet. No, not a large one, instead, it’s a feet full of fur? I blink my eyes because maybe I’m just imagining some things and I was just lacking in sleep.

It is getting closer to my direction, while I was trying to open my eyes so I could see who it is.

I didn't realize it is already here in front of me, but I really couldn't lift my eyes. I tried to write it but I really couldn't. I was about to lose my balance when it suddenly caught me, which made me wonder. Why is his hair so thick on his arm? Maybe I'm really out of my mind.

"H-Help me, please…” I clung to it even tighter because he was my only hope to get out of here. I already know it is a man because of the scent and the kind of arms he has. But I don’t care, I need help right now.

I would have raised my eyes again to see his face but before that could happen darkness had swallowed me up already.
