Whispers of the Past

The rogue sanctuary was different from what Lyra had envisioned.

Located deep in a secluded valley, surrounded by towering evergreens and ancient stones, the camp radiated a quiet strength. Tents and wooden structures adorned the clearing, with smoke curling up from small campfires, and wary, judging eyes watched her every movement.

Riven had assured her that the place was safe.

But Lyra quickly understood that safety was a relative concept.

As she walked alongside him through the camp's core, some wolves turned away. Others observed her with silent scrutiny. None offered a smile.

“She’s with me,” Riven had declared earlier. No one challenged him, yet they showed no signs of welcoming her, either.

“She seems too pristine,” a woman whispered beneath her breath. “Too proud.”

“She’ll crumble like the rest,” a man scoffed.

Lyra caught every comment. She held her head high, though her heart felt heavy. This sanctuary was her only hope—and already, she felt like prey, b

  • The Cursed Luna's Return    Chapter 30

The forest had fallen silent. It was ablaze.Selene and Mira navigated through the haze, their footsteps crunching on charred earth and broken branches. The once-vibrant canopy had been consumed by flames, leaving behind gnarled shadows reaching for the sky. The air was saturated with the odor of ash, blood, and something ancient—something that hinted at finality. Each inhalation burned Selene’s throat, but she pressed on. She had to.Not when each step brought her nearer to Reven.“He’s annihilating everything,” Mira grumbled, pulling her cloak tighter around her shoulders as sparks danced like dying fireflies. “This has transcended war. It’s sheer vengeance.”Selene avoided glancing back. Her gaze remained fixed on the faint trail ahead, her voice steady but devoid of warmth. “Perhaps that’s what I deserve.”“Don’t say that.” Mira’s voice gained a sharper edge. “You made a choice—one the goddess imposed on you. Reven’s anguish shouldn’t be your eternal punishment.”Selene’s pace fal

  • The Cursed Luna's Return    Chapter 29

Blood Oaths and Broken PromisesThe night was thick with stillness. The moon hovered low, pale and observant, as if anticipating something to shatter the calm. Selene stood at the cliff's edge where the woods met the peaks, her long silver hair glowing faintly in the moonlight. Her heart continued to race irregularly, each beat a reminder of the words she could never unsay.Reven was gone. Kael was gone. And all that lingered was the resonance of her choice—one that shattered her world. The forest murmured around her. Every sound—the rustling leaves, the whispering wind—felt like the spirits of commitments made and unfulfilled. She pressed her hand to her chest, feeling the faint marking that still burned beneath her skin, the connection that would not fade no matter how hard she tried to drown it out.“You can’t keep avoiding it,” came a gentle voice from behind her.Selene turned slowly. It was Mira, her dearest friend since childhood, wrapped in the dark fabric of the Moon Guar

The Goddess’s DemandThe night seemed to pause.Selene crouched on the battered ground, her hands pressed against the soil now tainted with blood and moonlight. Surrounding her, wolves stood motionless — panting, injured, and wide-eyed. The fighting had ceased, but the internal struggle within her was only beginning. The goddess’s voice still resonated in her mind, gentle yet unyielding. Choose, cursed one. A bond broken. A heart silenced. Her heart raced so fiercely it felt painful. Each breath was a struggle. To her left, Reven’s wolf stood proud, chest rising and falling, silver fur marked with crimson. His eyes — those calm, unwavering eyes — regarded her with an unmistakable fear he could not conceal. Not fear for himself, but for her.To her right, Kael’s expression held an eerie quietness, his face obscured yet his eyes shone crimson with emotions beyond anger — regret, sorrow, perhaps even love.Selene struggled to think. The burden of her oath pressed against her heart, thre

Crimson Under the MoonThe clearing trembled quietly, a sort that comes before storms.Reven stood upright, his physique rigid and wound tight, each muscle tense with the expectation of conflict. His wolf lay hidden just below the surface, silver eyes softly shining as claws longed to rip flesh apart.Kael stayed still. He remained with a terrifying tranquility, his red eyes focused not on Reven, but on Selene — as if everything else around was just fog and darkness. His shadowy wolves moved behind him, their growls deep, throaty, echoing in the ground.Selene felt a tightness in her chest. The atmosphere was thick, each inhalation a challenge, as though the goddess herself was bearing down on her to observe this transpire.“Reven,” she murmured, her voice hardly louder than the whispering leaves. He looked at her briefly, just enough for her to notice the fire in his eyes. “Remain behind me.”“No,” she answered, her voice more emphatic now. It shattered, but she upheld her determinat

The Ghost ReturnsThe world shifted.Selene’s breath hitched as Kael emerged into the moonlight, his visage as distinct and familiar as a wound that had never mended. His dark hair fell carelessly over his forehead, and despite the scars on his body, his presence remained intact — commanding, perilous, alive.Alive.He was meant to be dead. Her knees buckled, and for a fleeting moment, the ground swayed beneath her. The vow she had uttered only moments prior now surged through her veins like fire, reacting violently to his presence. Her wolf howled within her, torn between fury and yearning, between the memory of love and the reality of betrayal.Reven stepped forward immediately, positioning himself between them. His wolf shimmered beneath his skin, poised to tear through flesh and bone. His voice was low, laced with anger. “You dare tread on these lands?”Kael’s lips curled into a faint, humorless grin. “These lands? They once bowed to me. Or have you forgotten, Reven? You inherited

  • The Cursed Luna's Return    Chapter 25

Whispers of the MoonThe forest was too quiet.Even after she had spoken her oath beneath the silver glow, the silence hung heavily over everyone. Wolves who once stood proudly behind their Luna now avoided her gaze. Their ears were pinned low, and their hearts were torn between loyalty and fear.Reven remained still, his eyes locked on her as if searching for the truth within her soul. The oath she had taken was not just any vow; it was a binding one that extended beyond blood and into the essence of the moon. Everyone sensed it. The air felt charged, alive with something ancient and dangerous.Selene's breath came slowly. Her fingers curled into her palms until her nails bit into her skin. Her wolf stirred uneasily inside her. You’ve tied us to fate, it whispered. You’ve promised something the goddess will demand in blood. She closed her eyes for a moment to steady herself. “What I’ve spoken, I will keep,” she said softly, though her voice carried like thunder. “My curse may be etch
