6. A hint from the past

Gianna

“Excuse me. I'm still standing here” It seems they have forgotten that I was standing and listening to their confusing interaction.

“You haven't given us the answer we want to hear” Vito said. While the other passed me a look which was not pleasant to me. My body doesn't fail in shuddering whenever our eyes met. Something was unclear about him. I know nothing about him but somehow I’m having the feeling somewhere.

“I think you should call your master and we'll talk because I just don't understand what is going on here” Something flickers in Vito eyes. Like anger. He charged forward almost closing the gap between us.

“Look girl, mind your tongue. You're standing in front of pr-”

“Let it be Vito” And he stepped back with a scoff.

“Listen girl, I will spare your life but that will be possible only if you come clean. I don't give second chances” I didn't try to stop the chuckle that erupt out of me. I had to access him closely.

“What are you? A King? Or a prince?” If he's a king or a prince he wouldn't be living in a secluded place like that. A short silence fell on us as we both stare at each other.

I sunk in a deep breath. “Look, I'm not an intruder or whatsoever. I have no business with anyone. I was only strolling and came across the door. It was just to cool off my mind. Nothing else”

“How can I trust you?”

“You don't have to trust me but that's the truth. I have no other motives” I was beginning to get nervous. What if they notice I'm not at home. Mrs. Rosa is the only person that saw me going out. Judging by the look on their faces, they're not ready to let me go.

“Let me go please. No one knows I'm out. I'm already under punishment. I don't want to add more fuel to fire”

“You getting pass the gate before the full moon is the question here. Vito summon Adelaide”

“What full moon exactly?” I asked confused.

He didn't answer me or even have the motive of. I watched as Vito left through the door. I was left alone with him. The master as Vito called.

“Sit” He said after a while. With a roll of my eyes I grabbed the one sitter sofa resting my palms on my laps.

“Before the sorcerer arrives I will ask you once again. Who are you working for?”

He's still on the question. His gaze was hot on mine. I returned the gaze. “I’ve said it already. I work for no one. I came from the neighboring pack. I don't even know this place exists. The plan was to take a sneak peak and I didn't exp-”

“I’ve heard” I instantly shut my mouth. I didn't realize I was blabbering rubbish. “...to see myself here” I completed forming my lips into a thin line.

“Adelaide will explain everything” He said and just in time the door was pushed open. My body shiver at the sight of the woman tailing behind Vito. She look out of ordinary for me.

“Master you call for me” The woman commenced.

“Yes Adelaide. Sorry for calling you this late hour. Please have a seat” Her eyes shifted to me when she squatted on the other sofa. It lingers for a while.

“An omega. Mismatched eyes. Extraordinary blood. I'm seeing thunderstorm in her destiny” I couldn't help but hung my mouth open and watch the woman.

“This girl here somehow managed to get through the gates when the full moon has not yet appears. And you know no one is able to do that. Tell me what you see Adelaide”

The woman grabbed my hand fast forward tightening them in her hold. I felt like something transpired in my veins at her action. I felt my numb going weak. “Like I said I'm seeing thunderstorm in her destiny. She will bring destruction and at the same time bring light to the pack house. She has an extraordinary blood running through her veins”

She released her hold from my hand. I rubbed the area as I felt the pain radiating off my skin. What in the word is she talking about. Her words were hooked in my head. I will bring destruction? How? A orphan lowly omega like me.

“Madam what thunderstorm are you talking about?”

“Adelaide what I want to know here is how she managed to get through the gates before the time”

The woman heaved out a sharp breath. “Master Valen, that was because of her extraordinary blood. She isn't just an mere omega. There's more to her”

I couldn't help but get the chills. “What extraordinary blood?” I asked.

“I see why you're his daughter” She said instead.

“His daughter?” My eyes went wide. Could she know something about my parents. Since she was able to see my future. Perhaps she'd know something about them.

“Do you know my father? Where are they? Are they alive?” I boambard all together.

“Girl. Some secret are rather left unsaid”

“I don't understand. You know something right? You know my parents”

“Master Valen, I suggest you free her before she becomes more threat to your life” She uttered.

Now that I heard a hint of my life, I don't feel the eagerness to go back. I want to know more about my life. Possibly about my parent. “Please Ma’am tell me. Where are my parents?”

“Look girl. You might have an extraordinary blood running through your veins. But you're not in a good shape to take in everything. Yes, I know about your parents. Your father was that brave man to the pack. But that will be a story for another day. Stay where you are and don't wander around. You might put yourself in danger next time”

“I will take my leave master Valen. Do have a great night rest” I was confused at hell. If I allow her to go, I might not get to hear anything.

I rushed up to her stopping her. “Ma’am I'm willing to do anything. Please tell me. a hint will do. I just want to know if they're alive or not” My inside swell up with some emotions. The thoughts of my parents being alive will give me some sort of strength.

“I’ve told you already girl. Some secret are better off unsaid. Don't come here again” And just like that I watch her go. Leaving me in a confused and dumbfounded state.
