Penthouse

"This will be a temporary home." A handsome man with beautiful eyes and an undercut hairdo led Pandora's small steps through the penthouse.

It can only be according to its current position. Pandora had signed the contract. She paused to watch the perfectly sculpted face, whose one smile was both sweet and adoring. Should Pandora believe that such a man had bought her for 200 million pounds—absolutely, along with all the agreements written on paper?

The first and most important rule Pandora must abide by is that the man has full power over Pandora's body and entire life. Secondly, the prohibition against interfering in the man's affairs. Simply put, they were two strangers, forced to fulfill each other's needs.

"There is only one room. If you're tired, please take a rest."

A deep frown appeared on Pandora's forehead. One room, that means... no! It's too early. At least Pandora needed time to adapt. The man said the penthouse they were staying in would only be a temporary home; there should be another one. At least for the man to live in.

"I may sleep here, but what about you?" asked Pandora, hoping he wouldn't say what she was afraid of.

"I will leave because later the boss will come to accompany you."

"What do you mean?"

Pandora's confusion was compounded. There is a 'bos' amongst 'bosses'; is that what the man was really saying?

"I am Helios. Just an intermediary. The boss will be here in the next hour. Prepare; don't disappoint him. Go inside the room."

Helios.

Pandora recited the same name over and over again until the broad back had left her like a helpless girl. Pandora scared herself with her mind filled with all sorts of complications. She was seized with the panic of having to drown alone in the penthouse—one of the things Pandora avoided the most. Especially what she could do to prepare herself? Who was the man who had bought her, and what if she disappointed him? Pandora had nothing; she was completely unprepared. Never will be.

Trembling, Pandora crawled onto the bed. She pulled the thick blanket over almost half of her body. Pandora insisted on keeping her eyes closed. However, as much as she tried to calm herself down. Still, no amount of words could coax her into slumber.

For hours Pandora continued to play with her fingers. She closed her eyes even tighter, deliberately sinking one side of her face deeper as she heard faint footsteps approaching.

Fear. Pandora counted in between silences, hoping that the night to be spent in a new place would not become a terrible scourge.

Pandora's body jerked as she felt the rough embrace. Her back brushed against someone's broad chest, and one could feel the excited breathing behind.

"I thought you were sleeping."

The heavy accent—typical of sexy and seductive man—made Pandora have to restrain herself from making the slightest sound.

"Your job is to serve me. Hurry up!"

Pandora's body was suddenly flipped over. The dim, ordinary light shone on the handsome face that washed away the sanity even though it was not fully visible.

Pandora's small half-open lips studied the man's visual structure in the dimness. Pandora could not recognize the patterned iris under these circumstances. Could it be that the man has such a rare eye color?

"You're very small, but I can feel your chest... um, very full."

If the room had been brightly lit, he might have been able to see Pandora's face turn red.

Pandora slightly misbehaved and pushed away his firm chest. Pandora's movement was halted by the choke under her arm. Slowly Pandora tried to free herself from the tightening grip. She didn't even know the name of the man she was with.

"Let go of me—"

Stunned speechless as large fingers brushed the surface of her skin, the contrast with the grip that still lingered almost crushed the bones in her.

"Can you please let me go? It hurts so much," Pandora said, bringing the man to his senses.

She did not break immediately. Instead, the mysterious man changed his position on Pandora's body with the angle of his arms supporting her on the bed. Pandora's eyes widened as the strong squeeze on her chest increased considerably. What a man, who unfortunately, if Pandora had to make a judgment, she could describe him as extraordinarily handsome, even under minimal lighting. But really, that man didn't know how to be gentle.

"Stop this. Please."

Pandora moved uncomfortably, trying to separate the finger links. And also wanted to avoid the different attacks that might occur.

"Take off your clothes."

The man spoke matter—of—factly, as if Pandora would just obey all such weightless orders.

It's not like that.

If only Pandora had more power, at least money to buy off the words of men who continue to degrade a woman's self-esteem. She would never have been trapped in such a helpless state.

Chris needed huge medical expenses, and Aquela had trapped her into being a poor girl.

"I said take off your clothes!"

Pandora shook her head quickly. "You can't touch me tonight. I have a monthly visitor."

"Don't you ever try lying to me!"

Pandora's throat was dry. Amazingly, the man knew what was lodged at the top of her mind. The heavy voice that whispered coldly made Pandora realize that Helios had warned her not to disappoint the man in front of her. By including a lie, she had made a mistake.

"I'm sorry." Pandora swallowed harshly. "But I'm really not ready. Give me a week to prepare myself," Pandora said, hoping the man would consider her offer.

"One week is too long. I'm giving you one night."

Pandora's eyes darted around in disbelief. One night didn't give her a chance to breathe freely.

"Five days." Still trying to negotiate. Pandora's fingers unconsciously grasped tightly to the plain T-shirt on the chest of the man who was looking at her intensely.

"My desire is great. Five days is too long."

"But—" No idea why the sentence that almost came out was held back. Pandora took a deep breath. "How much time do you want?" She finally said something else.

"One day. I want you to be ready after one day. Now sleep, or I will not hesitate to stab you."

Pandora underlined the threat as dangerous. Again she had to shut up under pressure. Forget that she was face-to-face with a savage man.

  • His Possession    His Power

“I don’t want to see you bite your lip again. Understand, Pandora?” Kingston whispered, his command thick with a tone of suppressed anger. The man immediately took a step back, distancing himself so that Pandora might respond firmly. But up to this very moment, she hadn’t said what she should have. She hadn’t uttered any stinging words about Kingston, or the string of mistakes the man had made. She just remained silent in a pathetic reaction. Silent, not knowing how to justify her restless feelings.A few pairs of eyes might be staring at her, but even Pandora’s courage, if she had any, wasn’t enough to retaliate against everyone who was looking. Her face is bowed. Waiting for who knows what... she wants Kingston to finish what he started.“Does anyone object to my actions just now?”Unfortunately, Kingston started everything off with a foolish move. Asking how people have hidden sides they won’t reveal is like digging a hole for himself. They won’t voice their disag

  • His Possession    Class

“Hurry up, Panda. Mr. Lee is going to give us a lecture after this!”Pandora hurried to keep up with Anna’s relentless pace. Too late. That single word explained why they couldn’t walk calmly, even though their frantic footsteps had already reached the campus hallway. Stomping hard against the blowing wind—greeting it as gently as a loving caress.Pandora’s gaze was fixed straight ahead, unconcerned that several students were watching them. The crucial point for her was the necessity of entering the classroom before... the coming irony was the inevitable, complete tardiness.Anna’s body froze in front of the classroom. As if truly frozen solid, and when Pandora accidentally touched her shoulder. Another shock became a terrifying specter. Uncontrollable. In that one room, a kind of energy seemed to bind them together. Pandora’s understanding of today’s schedule felt dragged down to its lowest point. She didn’t remember the Dramaturgy course—the class between Mr. Zade

  • His Possession    The Deal

“Sister Panda, wake up.”Pandora couldn’t remember the last time she’d drifted off into the sorrowful shadow of Kingston. After making sure the man was truly gone, she hurried—as quickly as she could—to gather the scattered clothes on the floor. She tidied up her disheveled appearance, though it was of no use when she tried to mend her shattered feelings. It was a complete mess. Just like when she couldn’t ignore the urge to sleep. And once she woke up, the situation was no longer the same. The silence in the room was filled by Anna and Aceli, who were carrying backpacks. The little girl woke Pandora up, so with her consciousness barely fully gathered, she steadily fixed her gaze on the two of them, her brows furrowed in wonder.“Who brought her here?”Pandora jolted, clutching her chest as it pounded violently. She fixed Anna with an extraordinarily sharp gaze, making sure Anna wouldn’t say Kingston wasn’t involved in this.“I just got here, and I happened to se

  • His Possession    Begging

“Done.”Pandora finished her work by copying the organized data onto another device. She handed the copies to Anna, along with a research assignment on dramaturgy to be printed out and neatly bound.“Are you sure you don’t want to come?” asked Anna, already all dressed up in a light coat and slipping on her leather shoes. Sometimes Anna turned around, just to repeatedly make sure Pandora wouldn’t change her mind.“I just want to rest, Ann. I’m sleepy. I didn’t get enough sleep last night.”Even after the brutal expulsion. That didn’t make Kingston give up. No, not until Anna deliberately called security to take the man away.“Alright, then. I’m leaving first. It might take a while—I’ll do the monthly shopping and also need to buy printer ink since it’s empty.”Pandora nodded faintly. Watching Anna’s fingertips touch the doorknob, she said, “Take care of yourself out there.” Then she settled into a lying position facing the wall, left alone in the room. Last night’s confrontation had

  • His Possession    Need To Talk

“We need to talk.” Ignoring Pandora’s request, the man voiced something Pandora had already exhausted all possibilities of considering. Kingston’s attitude had made everything crystal clear; she no longer needed any explanatory words or anything of that nature. “I want to go back to the dorm. If you really object to taking me there, I can go home on my own.”“But we need to talk for a moment, Pandora.”“No. You only need to discuss this with her. I’m an exception for you.” Pandora steeled herself, glaring at Kingston with hatred, anger, and a fiery gaze. “Whatever. Do whatever you want! I can go home on my own.” She was already reaching for the car door, consistently ignoring Kingston and his wishes.“Fine. I’ll drive you.”Though the ride to the dorm was eventually overshadowed by a heavy silence, Pandora remained fixed on the view outside the window. The dorm building loomed tall. Soon… so Pandora prepared to get out. She slammed Kingston’s car door hard

  • His Possession    Regret

Pandora didn’t know how to express her bitter reaction. She bowed her head deeply, clasping her fingers together with intense anxiety. It felt like being struck by a massive explosion when the woman firmly asserted the truth. And Kingston didn’t utter a single word to reassure Pandora—or at the very least, he would have denied it. He remained silent, so much so that Pandora almost laughed at herself—why was she trying to deny it, when her eyes had once directly caught the red marks on Kingston’s body back in the forest? Wouldn’t the presence of a child complete Kingston’s past love? They would go through a series of romantic moments reminiscent of their past story. Overflowing with warmth and longing. That’s why, up to this very moment, Kingston hadn’t said anything to reaffirm the statement that had left Pandora’s thoughts adrift. She felt trapped atop a lighthouse, gazing at a ship sailing in the distance, but the ship never made its way toward her. It felt futile; there

  • His Possession    King Kong

"Who are you hiding from?" "We have class in an hour, why are all the doors and windows closed?" Anna looked confused when Pandora suddenly lunged into the dorm room and acted like she had just been chased by a wild dog. She was so panicked that the room really felt like a hiding place

  • His Possession    Shocking

It felt like Kingston wouldn't stop surprising Pandora tonight—provoking her heart to start pounding again when the sound of the bedroom door opening revealed the silhouette of the man standing proudly not far from Pandora's position who then turned to look out the window. "Go back to the k

  • His Possession    Wines

"You going to college means going back to being my roommate again, right?" Anna's attention never from Pandora's face as she kept looking at the copy of the paperwork signing the agreement between the recipient and the head of the scholarship forum. Some strange thoughts ran through Pandora

  • His Possession    Unexpected

Pandora was literally pounding from the terrifying sensation and the adrenaline pumping through her veins. Her mind couldn't even think where she would land. At the lowest point, Pandora's back ached as she hit the pool. The sound of rushing water splashing was the sound of a heavy foreign object
