The Dinner

Eli's POV

I arrived wet all thanks to that annoying human. Mrs. Elena just couldn't stop talking, telling me why I walked under the rain, and said she'll grab me a coat, she's just too nice.

“I'm fine, thank you,” I pleaded but she was still insisting.

“Don't worry, Sebastian will get you a coat and a change of clothes,” she insisted and I couldn't push further.

“Sebastian!”

My heart was left reeling when I took a glance at him. He couldn't help but scream at me as his face quickly folded into a thick scowl.

“You!” He cried and I didn't say a word, neither did my face move in surprise or any reaction. My composure was firm, despite the awkwardness of the situation.

Mrs. Elena and Dad just watched in awe, their eyes widened in shock.

“You know each other?” She asked, her brows raised.

We just stared at each other and I saw the intimidation and insecure looks in those blue eyes of his. His fist folded and his jaw tightened, his stance toughened and his gaze was unwavering.

The awkward moment lingered for a few seconds and I finally ended it. I didn't want Dad worrying too much again about me.

“No,” I smiled. “I guess he's just surprised to see me,” I chuckled and patted his shoulder softly. My grip tightened on his shoulder bone softly as I stared at him and we smiled awkwardly and our parents just giggled.

The moment they looked away, he quickly yanked my hands off him and the soft wheeze made them turn sharply but we smiled quickly at them and walked with them to the table.

He sat directly opposite me on the table, while Dad sat with her, his hands crossed around her waist.

“The meal is good,” I complimented firstly, even though it didn't meet my expectations, but it was disrespectful to not compliment and acknowledge the effort of the chef.

She smiled warmly and was basting in the warmth of my flattery when he spat with pride.

“Why won't it?” He snarled with a low tone. “It's much better than anything you've ever had, I guess,” he muttered and I raised an eyebrow and smiled warmly.

They didn't hear what he said and I liked that, in as much as I don't like him, I don't want our parents to notice the tension between us. And to be honest, there's just a simple way to handle people like him.

“Uhm, Mrs Elena, forgive me, but I like my food spicy,” I pleaded with a charming smile and his face only folded further. “Could you please tell my brother here to grab me some pepper from the kitchen?”

Funny how his face looked now like a Halloween masquerade, but he wasn't scary enough. I just savoured the moment and chuckled softly with her.

“Oh, forgive me darling. I'll note that,” she replied and then turned to him. “Sebastian? What are you waiting for? Go grab it,” she cautioned and he rose up sharply and stared at me coldly, his fist tightening on the fork and she scolded him again.

“Sebastian!”

He grumbled and headed out but still, he'd still serve me.

“I see you both are already getting along,” she giggled at me once again. I was enjoying this game, calling him brother was the right start.

Moments later, he came racing over and slammed it before me, shaking everyone on the table.

“Sebastian?!” She turned to him quickly with a cold scowl.

“It's fine,” I tapped her gently with a charming smile and the dripping water touched her again.

This was when she remembered I hadn't changed my clothes and turned to me angrily.

“Why didn't you tell Sebastian to get you some clothes?” She scolded but my expression was warm and respectful.

“It's fine, don't worry, I'm fine.”

But she ignored me and turned to Sebastian.

“Go grab him some clothes!” She ordered but he sighed deeply in front of everyone, mumbling all over the place.

“I can't give him my clothes mom, you know I don't share!” He said, his voice heavy with disgust as he stared at me.

“Its not as if I need them,” I snapped in my mind. I fought hard to keep up my smile and Mrs Elena was stubborn too and scolded him quickly.

“He's no stranger, Sebastian! Let that sink into your head. He's your brother. Get him some clothes!” She snapped immediately, her voice shaking the place.

Dad's arm wrapped around her, caressing her and calming her softly.

I didn't want more drama, and he couldn't escape it.

“Come on!” He quickly stormed away and she turned to him with a cold death stare, but I tapped her gently and smiled and ran off.

I know they'll talk about it, and I hope he respects himself with me here, I really don't want a fight now and here.

Our footsteps echoed and his door creaked open. Just as I was about to walk in, he slammed it, but I was quick and dodged sharply.

“What's that?!” Her voice rang out with panic.

“Nothing!” I replied and rushed in.

He just tossed a shirt and a pair of joggers to me.

I didn't say a word to him, I just changed up.

“Don't stain my clothes with your…”

I didn't let him finish, I hate that word he was about to use again on me.

“I didn't ask for it…” I calmly replied and headed out, calmly waiting for him to rush out and I slammed the door in his face too.

He was also quick and dodged skillfully, turning to me with a growl.

We walked back downstairs, he was behind me and she teased me softly.

“You look good in those,” she complimented and I bowed in respect.

“Thank you,” but he nodged me from behind as if he didn't see me there.

I quickly regained my stance, covering up the act completely and just winked at him.

His face folded strongly as I took a seat, but her voice lit up the area again.

“So, uhm, boys, I was thinking, we all move in together…” she didn't even finish when we chorused.

“What?!”

I didn't know when the word escaped my lips and her look at me was that of dismay. I quickly smiled and apologized.

“Nah, I meant that would be great.”

Her face beamed with joy and she didn't even turn to Sebastian who was staring at me just as if he would devour me if he got any closer.

She turned to my dad and stroked his beard softly and kissed him.

I cleared my throat and faced my meal and they just chuckled.

“What do you think darling?” She asked, caressing his hand.

“It's a good idea,” he chimed in and I struggled to hold my words back and had to cough.

“Sorry my dear, Sebastian, get him some water,” she begged.

He just turned to me, and then to her and slammed the table hard with his fist and left angrily.

“Sebastian!”

  • The Dare to Ruin Him, Falling for My Step Brother    Strange?

SEBASTIAN'S POV My eyes lingered in his eyes slowly dropping down to his lips - those plumb red strawberries liked lips…. I'm was allergic to strawberries but I badly wanted a taste of these ones. I bit my lower lips seductively trying to subdue the groan erupting from my throat. Why was I even feeling this was them just trying to seduce him? I was only trying to seduce him but it seem more he was the one seducing me. I watched a cold sweat broke on his face, beads of sweat formed on his forehead - he cleared his throat awkwardly, adjusting on his seat in a desperate attempt to avoid my burning gaze and our dangerous closeness. He was trapped, I closed him in good, there was no espace from that at all but why was I the one with the pounding heart? Why was I the one with the shaky breath? Why was I trying to keep control even when he was obviously trapped? Or was I the one under his spell. “What…em.. you kidding… Right?” He muttered, his voice a gentle but nervous wishper. I

  • The Dare to Ruin Him, Falling for My Step Brother    Bitch

Eli's POV “You poured the wrong drink Seb, are you planning on poisoning me?” I muttered softly, as I dropped the drink back on the table. He stared at me keenly like he was waiting for me to tell him it was just a joke but I was silent. I had no idea he heard me in the first place, I thought I had muttered those words to myself alone. “I don't understand.. is that a joke? Why did you look so serious?” He asked, as he gazed at me curiously. “I'm allergic to pineapple. I would literally die if I drink that.” I chuckled softly, making sure the mood wasn't tensed. The last thing I wanted was he feeling guilty about making me breakfast. He had no idea, I was allergic to pineapple - I mean, not even dad knows that. I made sure I kept it a secret while avoiding taking anything pineapple. Dad has no idea because he would make a big fuss out out of it and I don't want any drama. “Are you for real? Oh my God I had no idea!” He half yelled, his eyes laced with guilt. Exactly what I

  • The Dare to Ruin Him, Falling for My Step Brother    Poison?

CHAPTER 028 SEBASTIAN’S POV “I guess you were just saying it just because you wanted to hide the truth then. Typical Sebastain!” He scoffed, slowly trying to stand up on his feet. Oh right! He was going to gaslight me? Then I guess I have to make breakfast for real. I let out a soft sigh as I walk closer to him. “Your legs seems to be working fine don't they?” I muttered softly, and he frowned. “I woke up and they seem to be a little bit relieved.” He answered and I chuckled. Of course, they were relieved because I stayed up all night tending to them - but he would never know that would he? Only the way to gaslight me and force me to becoming his chef is the only thing he knows how to do best. “You are a deep sleeper too, I never know that.” I scoffed, slowly forcing him back to his seat. “Says someone who had slept all through the morning. Did you check the time you woke up this morning?” His eyes fixed on mine with curiousity and I chuckled softly. “That because I wa

  • The Dare to Ruin Him, Falling for My Step Brother    You want a baby sitter

Sebastian's POV “You want a piggy ride Eli? I would do anything you want.” I teased. His eyes widened in shock as he stared at me like I had grown a second head. I had no idea what was wrong with me too. I wasn't usually like this to anyone not especially him. Trust me, I still dislike him - maybe not as much as I did before but I was just doing this because he was… injured. I mean I cuses it so why would I take responsibility? “I don't need your help or a piggy ride, I just need ice and painkillers those will do.” He responded almost scoffing. Chuckled softly as his shy and timid responses, something I never thought he possessed until now. He was always yelling and shouting every damn time we talk so? ( I guess I'm the first to tell most of the time but still.) I nodded, leaving him there and rushing to the kitchen to get what he wanted. I was back in few minutes and he was still sitting there (well I don't think he can move if he wants to) but completely lost in t

  • The Dare to Ruin Him, Falling for My Step Brother    Fuck!

ELI'S POV I could not even process what was going on before he had picked me off the ground in one swift move. My mind immediately went blank as my eyes widened in shock. Did he just fucking pick me off in a bridal style like I was a ‘bride?’ what the heck was going on? I couldn't even speak, I was too perplexed to do so. “What are you thinking..” I muttered, my voice thin and almost inaudible.. I couldn't even believe my own voice would ever sound like that. What the fuck was wrong with me anyways? “Hold it right there young man!” Dad yelled, the moment he attempted to move. His eyes were laced with both furry and confusion. He was confused about such compromising position we were both in, and trust me I was also very confused. I guess Sebastian was too seeing how still and blank he was looking. “I told you not to, didn't I?” I muttered softly and face twisted into a frown. “You didn't say anything. Just shut up.” He clenched his teeth while whispering softly. I sti

  • The Dare to Ruin Him, Falling for My Step Brother    Shit

SEBASTIAN'S POV My eyes burned with fury as I stared at him. That dirty punk was just a pain in the ass. It's not enough that he's annoying but now, he also goes ahead and spread rumours about me. Now mom is involved and his fucking dad is also there to defend him too. I don't even know what to say to him right and till now, he still can't admit the truth. “Eli, look me in the eye and tell me the truth,” I spat, my voice deadly calm. “What did you tell my mom?” “I didn't tell her anything!” He yelled and walked back inside to his room to go continue grabbing the bags out, but I held him back and pulled him sharply. He slipped before he could control himself and dropped to the ground. “Oh God! Sebastian, my waist, shit! Fuck you!” He cried. He must be joking. I know he's definitely playing those dirty tricks with me and I clearly don't blame him. But he wiggled with severe pain and screamed loudly and reality hit me right there. It now dawned on me that I was in more trouble th
