Her motive

DAWN’s POV….

Panting, I fell back as I stared at Rex, my true mate, the one I really loved. He was the only one who knew when and how to satisfy me.

"I love you, Rex," I told him as I caressed his hair. I loved him so freaking much, and he also loved me.

We were just perfect together, but then we didn’t have all that we wanted yet, and that was when that pathetic Alpha Bruno, the fool who always pestered me and always wanted sex, came into the picture.

He was our ladder, the one who would help us climb, and we wouldn’t lose him—not yet, at least. We would make sure we used him until he became useless.

I slowly reached for Rex's lips, sucking on them as I let out little moans while he squeezed my bosom in a tender yet rough manner.

This was the main reason I loved him. He always knew when and where to touch.

I wished I didn’t have to stay away from him every time, he was my life, the only one who could please me, and I couldn’t lose him. I admit I was married to another man, Alpha Bruno, but what could I do? I wanted the best life with Rex, and Alpha Bruno was the only way.

I would make sure I successfully dethroned him and then claim the throne with my one true mate, Rex.

We were still romancing when I started to notice worry in Rex’s eyes. I retreated from the kiss as I stared at him, it broke me to ever see him this way.

"Rex, what’s wrong? Why is there suddenly worry behind those eyes?" I asked him as I caressed him slowly.

He inhaled deeply. "Don’t you think what we’re doing is wrong?" He asked me, and my eyes widened as I stared at him.

"What do you mean by that? What are we doing wrong?" I asked him as I stared at him.

I knew what he was trying to say, but I wanted to hear it from his mouth, and I really hoped it wasn’t what I was thinking.

"It’s becoming scary, Dawn," he told me, and I started to caress his chest. "It's very risky to sneak into the pack house to make out with you when you're married and to the alpha," he said, and I rolled my eyes slightly before smiling at him.

I claimed his lips again as I sucked hard on them, rubbing his chest as I did so. I thrusted my tongue into his mouth as I ducked hard on it, making sure to tell him how much I loved him in between kisses.

"I love your smell, I love smelling like you all the time. I can’t wait to be in your arms again. Spending another night with Bruno is hard, he keeps asking for sex." I told him as I continued to kiss him.

I knew my words pleased him, and it was evident on his face.

"Come here, you badass girl," he told me as he pulled me by the waist, closer to himself, but just as we were about to have sex, the door came open and Hugo, the beta, walked in.

"Shit!" I cursed as I stared at him—how had we forgotten to lock the door?

He had been on our side the whole time, but then, what if someone else had walked in? What would have happened then?

"What kind of nonsense is this?" He asked angrily, staring at us. "You could have gotten caught today, and by the alpha of all people. Because of you people, the whole plan would have been ruined, and then we can kiss our dreams good-bye," he said, and I could hear the anger in his voice.

"What’s wrong? Why are you so angry and pissed?" I asked him.

He was never like this, and I was sure that for him to have been acting this way, something must have come up.

"The alpha almost came in here, but luckily, I was at the door and stopped him just in time. Do you know what would have happened to you had he come in on his own?" He asked us, and I looked down.

"There’s no need to be this angry, we’re sorry," I told him, and he hissed before clapping.

"Come on, move away from each other. He has been looking for you, and we have to go," he told me, and I hissed, just as Rex was about to make hot love to me again.

I hated the fact that this Hugo had to walk in at this point, but then again, I had no choice. He was our helper, so we had to do as he pleased.

I hated this so much!

I got out of bed, and I walked to him. "Come on, let’s go," I told him, and Rex immediately rushed to me, putting his coat over me, and that was when I realized I was naked.

"Shit! " I cursed inwardly as I stared at myself.

The coat only covered half of my body as my boobs were extremely revealed.

I smiled, he was very protective, and I knew how difficult it must have been for him to let me marry someone else and have sex with that person.

"Come on, let’s go," he told me as he led me out of the room and into the one, I shared with Bruno. Staring at the room, I hissed slightly.

I hated standing in this room or anywhere near it. It made me recall that I was now with someone who didn’t even know how to please a woman like me.

We walked into the room, and then I saw Bruno sitting on the bed, his head bowed like he had been thinking of something desperately.

He raised his head, and that is when he saw me. "Dawn!" He called happily as he rushed to me, taking me out of Hugo’s hands, and I could see the way he stared at Hugo.

"You may leave now!" he told Hugo, and the moment he left, he locked the door behind him as he started to kiss me, and I rolled my eyes. This was in no way appealing to me.

"Don’t ever let anyone touch you, Dawn, you’re mine and mine alone," he told me, and I immediately knew where he was headed.

He had seen Hugo walk me into the room, and he had become jealous, but who cared? Well, I did, because if he ever got suspicious, it would slim mine and Rex’s chances of getting into power.

"I’m so sorry, darling, I was drowning, and luckily, Hugo was there to save me." I told him, and he hugged me tightly to himself.

"Sorry," he told me as he rubbed my back.

I smiled to myself. While we were coming, I had tripped and landed in a bucket of water, so obviously, drowning was the only idea that suited the situation perfectly.

As he hugged me, he started to confess his love to me as well as all the other nonsense that he could spew, and I rolled my eyes, like I cared.

To me, he was just a useless man who wasn’t even good in bed!
