Chapter 19

Asher Pov

It has been just a few hours and we haven’t found Lillian and now I am totally worried. Where could she have gone?

“We did not find her, your majesty,” a guard said, running to me. We have checked everywhere, including Zira’s room, but she is not there, so where could she be? Sky also runs to me with no Lillian and the poor thing looks so worried. I thought about all the places we would go together and I realized we did not check her former room.

“Follow me, Sky,” I said, taking a fast stride to her room. I just really hope she is there. It is still a mystery to me because the guards are still saying she did not go out and I had to break into their mind and they still said the same thing. How can she have left the room with no one noticing? We got to her room and I hope she was there. I slammed the door open and what I saw shocked me to the bone.

Lillian was on the floor, naked and laying in a pool of blood. Her body was laced with deep scars, like she was stabbed and b
