Melanie placed her phone on the table and buried her face in her palms. Evan's words were continuously repeating in her head over and over again. Her heart was shrugging in pain, abruptly. Was Adrian capable of doing something like this? No, her heart was not ready to believe it. Her Rian would never fall this low that he would threaten someone with his family. Evan must be lying but then that video footage where she had clearly seen him threatening Evan to tell him those things to her.

If Evan had sold her love then Adrian had bought it too. If Evan was at fault for selling her then Adrian wasn't right also for putting forward such an inhuman demand of trying to buy her. Had she just turned an object for both these men? One bought and the other sold but it was clear in that footage that Evan was forced to do that inhumanity to her but what was Adrian's reason for doing that to her?
