Chapter 14- Evelyn

I woke up to someone’s head lying on the right side of my bed and an IV on my other hand. My head is pounding.

I poked the person and he stirred. He lifted his head and looked at me confused in his sleepy state. Then his eyes widened and he hugged me really tight.

“Can’t… breathe… Adrian.” I said hoarsely tapping his back.

“I am so sorry Eve.” He said letting go of me and sitting on my bed “He ordered me not to move. We can’t out rule the Alpha’s orders but Lizzy found me and I sent her up to help you. I am sorry Eve. I promised you to keep you safe but I wasn’t able to. I am such a bad friend.” He said looking down in shame.

“It’s not” I coughed. He gave me a glass of water and I gulped it down “It is not your fault Adrian. You did what you can. By the way who is Lizzy?”

“Lizzy is the doctor that brought you here. She is Damien’s younger sister. She just arrived from her trip.”

“She is nothing like Damien.”
