LOGINSliver pov {the devil rules}
She should have been terrified enough to run away like before, instead sliver wouldn't move. The man near the alter watched her in complete silence, his unreadable expression as rain fell hard on the church scarred windows behind them. Her instinct screamed danger, bloody not because he screamed at her or threatened her but because he looked like someone who would never do so.
She suddenly felt pain in her throat. “i-I’m so sorry” she whispered quietly. “ I was just desperately looking for somewhere to hide”
His eyes stayed on her face for few seconds long before dropping slowly to the soaked wedding gown clinging to her body.
“so you ran from your wedding?” it didn’t feel like a question. Heat burning beneath her skin despite the cold weather.
“ yes” she answered.
Then silence between them. Heavy , very uncomfortable like he was studying her. then he finally moved making her heart jump instantly. sliver stood still watching him as he walked down the alter stairs slowly, black dress shoes echoing against the marble floor. The closer he got, the harder it became for sliver to breathe well. Up close he was looking more intimidating to her eyes, tall enough to tower over her. broad shoulder under a black coat, sharp jawline with dark tattoos disappearing under his collar.
He stopped few inches away from her, too close with her back pressed harder against the old church doors. she felt his eyes dropped suddenly to her writ, looking at the bruises felix left around her wrist, were impossible to hide now. A strange darkness crossed his face, gone few seconds later.
“ who’s chasing you” he asked.
Fear passed through sliver, she shouldn’t answer, she don’t even know this strange man but there is something about the way he asked made her feel lying is pointless.
“my fiancé”.she saw one corner of his mouth twitched slightly, not an amusement but something colder than death it self.
“so you ran from a man dangerous enough to leave marks on you on your wedding day?” he asked.
“you should let me be” she swallowed hard, her words came out weaker than she expected. Outside flash lights briefly flashed through the dirty stained glass windows. The stranger noticed so did she, panic slammed into her chest.
“they found me” her voice cracked this time. The man turned towards the door calmly before looking at her.
“they wont enter”. The assurance in his voice sent chills down her body.
“how do you know that?”. Instead of answering her, he stepped around sliver and unlocked the dark dusty doors. Cold rain and wind burst inside immediately, sliver stared at him in horror. What is he doing by opening the door? Is he trying to get us killed? she stared at him in horror. A black suv waiting outside the chapel gates with men near it, searching .
Suddenly one of the men turned, spotted the door open immediately “there” he shouted.
her blood turned cold as ice, she backed away instantly watching but the stranger didn’t move, nor panic, didn’t even blink. Felix men rushed towards the old church, then suddenly stopped. she watched as every single one of them froze near the gate with fear spread visibly across their faces. One man actually stepped backwards.
“no” another man muttered quickly. “why must it be here?”
The stranger remained standing at the door silently, watching everyone of them.
The rain fell violently, yet somehow he looked unbothered about it, untouchable. Then one of felix men lifted his phone with his shaking hands before speaking. “we found her” he said quietly. “but shes inside the old church building”.
A long a pause followed. Then sliver saw the look on the man face drain color “yes sir”. He ended the call quickly. And then- they left just like that, the whole SUVs disappeared down the roads within seconds. sliver stared after the SUVs in confusion, why would they run? The stranger closed the door back slowly before turning back towards her, her heart began beating more harder than before.
“who are you?” the question left her lips before she could stop it. And for the very first time something almost dangerous flickered in his eyes.
He smiled “ the kind of man your fiancé fears”
The room suddenly felt more cold, sliver quickly wrapped her arms around her self tight. The stranger studied her for some long moment before speaking again. “you can stay for the night, tonight” she felt relief washing through her.
“But” he continued calmly, “ you follow my rules”. The relief disappeared instantly.
“What rules?”. He walked past sliver with out even looking back at her, she hesitated only a few second before following him blindly, deeper into the church. Candles shocked along the walls as they passed old wooden chairs and stone statues broken with time. The deeper they went, the stranger the church felt like too quiet, soo hidden like they were secrets living inside the walls. He stopped beside a lone staircase.
“there are rooms upstairs, one has been prepared for you”
Prepared? she asked herself, the word didn't sit with her properly “were you expecting someone?”
“no” he replied with an unreadable expression, then continued walking. sliver followed carefully.
“first rule” he said. “don not walk through the church alone”
her stomach twisted.
“second rule. Stay away from locked doors”
A chill slid down through her spine.
“third rule” sliver could feel his words going lower slightly. “if you hear screaming…” he finally looked at her again.
“mind your business” fear prickled across her skin. Who was this man? And what exactly was hidden inside this dark durst place?. they reached the second floor, the hall way was still dark despite being lit by candles, shadows stretching long across the old walls. sliver watched as he opened one of the doors, inside was a surprisingly clean bedroom, with a large bed, dark wooden furniture and fireplace crackling softly.
A place that didn’t belong inside a forgotten church, sliver turned slowly towards him. “why are you helping me?”.
For the first time since she met him, he amount of words he’s spoken was nothing to write about. He looked as het as if he was deciding something. Then his gaze dropped once more to the bruises on her wrist and something cold entered his eyes again.
“because I dislike men who mistake cruelty for power” he said quietly. Before she could answer, he stepped backward towards the hall way
“and one more thing?” she looked up at him as his expression hardened instantly.
“do not go downstars”
Then he shut the door, the lock clicked from outside. her breath hanged up, for several seconds sliver simply stood there staring at the closed door.
Locked
Trapped again. Thunder crashed outside violently, and somewhere deep under the church….
A woman screamed.
Chapter 5Azuka noticed Sliver reaction immediate, his jaw tightened.“take her upstairs” one of the guard suggested quickly.“no” Azuka spoke calmly. That single word made everyone go silent instantly. her heart began beating more faster and harder. Azuka looked twards the church entrance, completely calm. Like he already knew what was going to happen next, then he spoke without looking at her.“stay close to me”The word sounded like a command, something strange went down her stomach. Before Sliver could process what he said the church door flew opened violently.Three men entered.Felix men, she recognized them immediately, their eyes landed on her. “there she is”Panic burst through her chest, one of them moved forward then stopped after seeing Azuka standing beside her. the whole atmosphere changed instantly, fear passed the man face so fast it almost died.“Loretto” he breathedAzuka expression never changed for once“she’s coming home with us” another man forced out, shaken.S
Sliver pov {the devil himself}Sleeping became impossible after that.Everytime sliver closed her eyes, she kept seeing the underground hall ways stained with bloods and people crying out for help echoing behind those metal doors. By morning, her whole body felt weak, sunlight passed through the cracked church windows as she turned and stared at her reflection in the small mirror near the fire place.she could barely recognized her self. Her dark hair loose around her shoulders, still wet a bit from yesterday down pour. The oversized black sweater swallowed her body completely, exposing the bruises around her wrist, making them standout more. She looked more like a ghost than a bride who ran away from the church. A knock sounded at the door, making her turn instantly“come in”The door opened slowly, showing an old woman holding a tray filled with food. She smiled after noticing Sliver was awake.“you should eat” she spoke quietly.Sliver hesitated before moving towards her, she remo

Then lightening flashed through the bedroom windows, showing the unfamiliar stone walls around her.The church. Her stomach sank as another scream echoed faintly through the floor under her. a woman. Fear prickled across sliver skin instantly, she sat up slowly in bed listening carefully for the voice.Silence followed.Only rain hitting against the windows, maybe she imagined it or maybe exhaustion was finally making her lose her mind. she rubbed her cheeks tiredly before swinging her legs over the side of her bed. The room was strangely warm inside despite the huge storm outside. she turned and saw that someone had left folded dryed clothes on the chair near the fire place sometime during the night.Black sweater with loose pants. Her soaked wedding dress was gone, that realization hit her more than it should have. Instead, her attentio

Sliver pov {The runaway bride}“Find her”Shouts echoed from behind sliver as she ran so quickly in the dark empty cloudy streets, holding her ruined white satin heavy wedding gown, rubbing the muddy path with her shaking hands.Rain hitting her skin so hard it felt like needles hitting her.“Check that corner”The shout echoed somewhere behind her.Panic shot upwards, at her chest. Those people were still following her, trying to take her back.Lighting split up in the sky, brightening the dark cloudy street as she was running in with her heels before hitting the ground, few meters away from her.sliver fell down to the ground.her high heels were gone from her foot, she couldn’t even remember how she lost it or had she been running without it?.“No” she shook her head, that shouldn’t be her priority right now, she needed to run very far away from felix men, if she gets caught then everything is over for her.No.Not over.Far worse than this.her breathing turned worse as she pushed
