Chapter 43: Year

Lyra's POV

I woke up at four in the morning. The sun was not out yet, and the cold breeze coming from the balcony doors that I accidentally left open last night gave me chills. It was surprising that I didn't feel this cold while we were sleeping. Maybe it was because I was fast asleep or because Derrick was literally my blanket under a blanket and it was so warm. It was the best sleep I'd had in a while. I bet he's super tired as well, seeing that he's still sleeping and snoring right now. Usually, he is awake before I even open my eyes. It's amazing that he's still dreaming right now.

That's perfect. I still have a lot of time to spare, so I could focus on making sure that the breakfast is good enough for his taste.
