Chapter 7

She gulped looking down as his masculine scent touched her nostrils .. “ did you eat ?” he asked

“ n..no I still didn’t .” she looked everywhere but at him ..

“ then we’ll eat together here , there’s no need to go down now .” he spoke seriously making her nod

“ I .. I saw a .. group of wolves .. th..this morning.” She stuttered making him smirk

“ and ..?” he asked shortly looking between paper work

“ I .. I.. don’t know, there was this .. wolf , it was really scary and big I’ve never seen a creature that big .. is there wolves all the time out there?”

“ of course , we're all wolves here except you.” He spoke giving her a glance she gulped

“ I .. see .” she whispered

“ are you scared?” he asked his voice so deep she shivered if he didn’t glance at her he would’ve missed it

“ I.. mean I’m living with a different species it’s not so easy .”

He nodded as food came , they sat and ate in silence but it wasn’t that uncomfortable silence , it was calm and soothing

“ the mating ceremony should be held the upcoming week .” he informed

“ what is it about .” she asked curiously

“ nothing much , just to tell people that you’re mine so they don’t mess around , it’s also a crowning ceremony, to show the world you’re the queen .”

“ it sounds frustrating , I don’t want to meet all these people especially that they are wolves .” she sighed

“ it won’t last forever, couple of hours , when you get tired you tell me and it’s all done. “ he informed making her smile which sent happiness towards his heart but he didn’t show .

“ you’re coming with me to my office today , you can write right ?” he asked

“ yeah of course am educated .”

“ good , I’m sure sitting here all day long is quite boring so you’re going help with work as I see fit , deal ?”

“ oh my god , thank you so much “ she hugged him in excitement which led to him tossing her on his lap “ but .. there are some rules .”

She nodded her smile fading “ you will always sit next to me , you can interact with ministers if you have ideas , and I repeat no disobedience and no disrespect  , you will learn the rest with time .” he said playing with her hair .

“ understood , I didn’t expect such easy rules to be honest .” she giggled shortly like a kid

“ let’s start then .” he said standing up along with her

She sat on a chair next to his on his huge desk and started writing what he gave her, it took her couple of hours to finish her work , she looked at him “ can I have a walk here , I’m tired of sitting.” He just nodded

She finished her little break and went back to her place next to him ,

“ write these so we can put them in the archive, then calculate the kingdom's charges for the previous week , we'll go for a little tour in the gardens as soon as you finish. “ he spoke giving her all his attention

She nodded smiling and proceeded doing what he ordered her to do .

After awhile “ your majesty , something is wrong with the budget you gave to reduce famine in east side of the local kingdom .”

“ show me !”

“ look it’s not compatible with the tresorery. “

“ indeed , leave it in here we'll have a meeting with the finance minister.”

She nodded putting it on the side , she continued working and didn’t notice time flying by .

“ these are the laws you asked me to write, your majesty .” she handed him her work with a bright smile

he checked after her “ good job, I’m proud of you .” he spoke petting her head

“ come on let’s have our tour you deserve it after your hard week .” he spoke gently which is surprising .

“ thank you for giving such an opportunity, I’m glad I can be active .” she spoke thankful

“ I took the right decision , you’re such a good help  ,how did you learn all of that ?” he asked as they started walking around the beautiful gardens

“ my papi has a little farm and I used to help with budgeting, so I have a little experience of course it’s nothing compared to a kingdom but I can manage I guess .” she said in joy

“ I see , it explains it all .. “

Three days passed by , between work and trying to interact with people in the castle .

“ your majesty .” kneeled the finance minister

“ Jacob !” acknowledged the alpha king 

“ my mate says that there’s something wrong with the budget I gave for the famine problem , any comments ?” he added while wren sat next to him nervously

“ y..your majesty .. I.. mm .. I don’t know anything about that.. I didn’t .. didn’t do anything wrong .. I ..”

“ guards take our minister to the dungeon I’ll come later .” he ordered

While the minister just screamed for his life.

“ see if he didn’t do anything wrong he wouldn’t stutter like that .” he smirked

“ I’m proud of you wren .”

“ your majesty .. I myself stutter when you’re angry though I didn’t do anything wrong when we first met .. don’t judge him this fast please hear it out from him first.. I’m sorry if I offended you .”

She suddenly found herself sitting on his lap straddling him while he kissed the he’ll out of her “ dear mate you're so innocent . he’s not .” he said then continued his assault while she approved to him , her little hands held the fabric of his shirt firmly ..

Suddenly the second mistress came in after knocking yet he didn’t want to let go of his mate.  “ speak !”

“ alpha king they sent me to ask you what do you want for dinner?”

“ tell them to not bother me with such questions it’s their duty to do what I like and that’s it . leave .” he said annoyed while playing with his mate's soft hair as she was burning from embarrassment

As she left wren tried to move but he didn’t let her “ I guess we should visit your grandparents.” He spoke

“ really !” she asked in shock as he nodded she hugged him tight kissing his lips lightly then looking down in fear “ I’m sorry I . .” he didn’t let her finish her sentence as he kissed her ..

She lied her head exhausted on his chest as he played with her hair that reached her bottom

Her hands around his neck , “ you scare me but I feel safe with you from the world .” she whispered “you’re fine as long as you are between my arms baby girl.”

“ will you leave me after I give you myself?”

He chuckled lightly “ we don’t do that here , a mate is your lifelong partner, you can’t change her or live without her .”

She raised her head to look at him , she smiled turning into a cute little thing

He was huge compared to her , she put her head back on his chest “ elders used to tell us scary stories about how rough and merciless you are that’s wy I panicked , I still am panicking but at least I know you won’t kill me right?”

“ I would never think about it .. I’m here to protect you mate .. I might discipline you and give you rough time but I would never think about killing you little thing. “ he tapped her bottom making her move in protest

“ let’s go rest until dinner beautiful .” he spoke carrying her like a baby

As they reached his chambers he lied down on the bed with her still on top of him .

“ go change into something comfortable and come to me my little .” she nodded nervously

She went into the walk in closet changing into a knee silk night dress . she went out walking slowly scared if his reaction what if he forces himself on her ?!

“ you look beautiful, come to me .” he ordered making her heart melt in the process

She walked towards him in fear until she found herself next to him him on the mattress once again ..
