Chapter 6

" do you .. have a library here ?" she asked looking like a kid .. he couldn't hold himself anymore he pinned her against the huge halls wall kissing the he'll out of her " you look so beautiful mate ." he said kissing her deeper .. she couldn't breath , they proceeded walking towards the library , she looked flushed and red from embarrassment .. suddenly her jaw dropped to the floor when she looked at the immense place they call library in this castle this could be her personal heaven .

She looked up at him " can I come here often "

" only if I'm with you " she nodded in frustration

They were in the royal gardens now.. it looks like another heaven she'd like to visit but she already knows his response .

" oh you majesty , there's a matter I want to tell you ." spoke the beta then looked at his Luna

" you may have a little walk here ." spoke the alpha king and she nodded in excitement

She was looking around her at all the beautiful roses and flowers when she felt someone push her against roses full of thrones as she tried to protect her face she put her wrists in front of her , she tried standing up her wrists bloodied and full of cuts , " why did you do that ?" she yelled at her

" you deserve worst for fooling our alpha king ."

" I'm his mate how did I fool him ?" said an angry wren

Lilia proceeded kicking her ribs and pulling her hair , as wren tried protecting herself " he deserves a stronger mate not a peasant like you ." spoke Lilia then ran away as she felt his presence

Zanthus ran to his mate when smelt blood " what happened to you for God's sake ." he spoke in anger making her whimper, she tried to move but her ribs hurt so much he touched it and she screamed in pain " it hurts ." , he looked at her wrists oozing blood " who did this to you?" he asked in anger as he took her bridal style towards his chamber .. " call for a healer " he ordered maids

" I said who did this ?" he asked once again as she looked at him tears rolling down the sides of her head " I .. fell " she lied

" never lie at me wren , I left you for two minutes and look at you , we'll talk about this when you heal ."

The healer came in and took a look at her ribs " it's just bruised your majesty not broken as for the cuts we'll bandage it and put some herbs on it she'll be fine soon ." she informed her king who just nodded

" eat ." he said feeding her against her will

When she finished , " now tell me who did it ?"

" I don't know.. I didn't see them ." she lied again making him sigh in frustration

" I know that you're lying but trust me the day I catch them , you'll get spanked for this behaviour. " he spoke in anger

She gulped not sure what to do nor what to say , she was scared " I don't know anyone here other than you and beta Sam this place isn't warm at all , I'm always scared of  what's going to happen to me , this is not home ."

" home is here behind these doors , next to me , that's home clear.!"

" yes." She whispered

Two days after the incident and she felt a little better , her mate was busy with the witches the past couple of days .

She walked out of his chamber towards the library , she wanted to choose a book to read

She stood there contemplating whether she wants to read romance or thriller when she felt a presence behind her , she turned slowly  to find a huge man looking at her " hello!" she spoke in fear .

He smirked coming closer to her " Lilia told me you're not pretty but you are ." , he attacked her then threw her on a couch in the library, her screams were inaudible for him as he tried to violate her .. Zanthus felt something strange in his heart , he knew she was in danger , he ran towards his chamber but she wasn't there .

She kicked him hard down between his thighs and crawled her way towards the doors when he yanked her by her hair slapping her hard ..

Zanthus ran towards the library as it was the only place his mate knows other than the kitchens and the gardens

He heard noise behind the doors and he hurried in .. he found his mate on the floor and a man trying to reach for her, a growl shook the castle . he took the male from his neck snapping it .. while his mate crawled back towards the wall .. he threw the dead body away on the floor as his blue eyes changed to gold .. his mate was shaking in shock , he hugged her to his chest " are you fine ?" he asked

" h.. he .. tried ... to ..." she started crying

" he didn't touch you right ?" he asked boiling in anger  and she shook his head in negative she hand in his arms like a kid , her legs around his waist and her hands around his neck crying on his shoulder

He put one hand under her bottom and the other one petting her head .

" you're fine.. you understand now why I don't let you roam around freely ?"

She nodded her head hugging him tighter " I'm .. sorry ... I .. wanted to read a book , I was bored. "

" I won't punish you for this one , next time you will get it rough If you break my rules again ." she nodded burying her face in his chest smelling his masculine scent to comfort herself .

He put her on the bed when he reached his chamber , " last time when I told you I fell I lied it was Lilia who pushed me and kicked my ribs , also today she was the one who sent him behind me he told me himself before attacking me ." she spoke getting closer to her mate

" Lilia, the mistress?" she nodded

" she's dead ." he called for guards to handle her

" No don't kill her please,"

" she sent someone to rape you and she bullied you physically herself why wouldn't I . do as I said ." he ordered the guards

" she's just jealous. " whispered wren

" you're their Luna, Luna wren Zanthus the alpha king's mate , they should respect you. "

" I don't want someone to be killed because of me ."

" it's because of her deeds and behaviour not because of you ." he spoke playing with her hair

" just this time .. please, you can punish her as you see fit but don't kill her .. I wouldn't be able to sleep in peace at night . " she gave him the puppy eyes

Making him change his mind and exile her instead of going to the extent of killing her .

It's a new day , a new morning. Unexpectedly wren felt joy and woke up cheerfully to an empty bed.. she debated on wether she can leave the bed or not , but after few minutes she decided to start her morning routine , for the first time she got the courage to open the huge terrace windows and step out to breath the early morning fresh air , she felt good but she didn't know why , and who can say no to feeling good after all... she looked at the woods and the river and her breath was caught in her lungs as she saw a group of wolves , there was this specific wolf that her eyes kept looking at , a huge wolf that didn't seem to be a normal one , it was too big it can't be real.. suddenly he made eye contact with her making her step back even when she was high up on her terrace and away from the woods .
