Chapter 33

Dominique’s Fury and Desire

Dominique stood before the door to his father’s quarters, fists clenched at his sides. His father rarely summoned him like this, and he couldn’t shake the unease gnawing at his chest.

What did Don Vito want now? Why was he being called when he had so much to do? With a deep breath, he knocked.

"Enter," came the deep, commanding voice of Don Vito, echoing through the thick wooden door.

Dominique pushed it open and stepped inside. His father sat behind a large oak desk, the room dimly lit by a single lamp on the corner.

The atmosphere was as cold as ever, matching the Blackwood patriarch’s ruthless demeanor.

"How is the girl?" Don Vito’s voice cut through the silence, laced with authority. "The one given to you as a maid. Aurora."

Dominique stiffened, his jaw tightening. So that’s what this was about.

"She’s fine," he replied coldly, refusing to let any hint of emotion slip through. The truth was, Aurora’s presence had been a thorn in his side si

Chapter 102Through the FireDominique’s POVI sat in a dimly lit café tucked between the cracked sidewalks and rusting lamp posts of San Andreas. The scent of burnt espresso mingled with the metallic tang of rain, but I barely noticed,I couldn't. My mind was too loud, my chest too tight. This wasn’t just any meeting. It was with him, Adam.Aurora’s... brother.I couldn't even process everything well, that why I needed to meet him alone, away from Aurora's eyes. Just I and Addam discussing like men. Every bone in my body told me I shouldn’t be here. That this could be a trap. But none of that mattered. If what Adam said was true, then everything had changed. And I had to know.I kept my hand loose around the ceramic mug in front of me, the coffee cold and untouched. My heart thudded hard as the café door swung open. Adam stepped in, and for once, he didn’t look like the arrogant bastard I knew him to be. He looked... wrecked, broken, like he hadn't slept in days. He spotted me im

Chapter 101 ShatterAurora’s POVThe word echoed."Sister."It was a cruel mistake. A hallucination. A joke maybe. A twisted, tasteless one.But the look on Adam’s face didn’t waver. There was no sly smirk, no lilt of sarcasm, no game. Just grim, hollow certainty. My throat dried out. “What did you just call me?”Adam’s eyes flicked to Dominique, who just showed up, then back to me. “You heard me.”I've been expecting Dominique to show up, because I gave him the address, but I didn't know he would show up now. “No,” I croaked, backing away, my heart slamming against my ribs. “No, you didn’t mean that.”Dominique’s arm extended instinctively, like he could pull me out of the air. “Aurora”“I’m not your sister,” I snapped at Adam. “That’s not funny. That’s not true…it can't.."“I’m not trying to be funny,” Adam cut in, his voice low and firm . “I wish I was. I wish I never found out either.”The ground beneath me began to tilt. “You’re lying. This is just another one of your jokes, ju

Chapter 100Secrets that burn. Tiffany’s POVThey said I was too much.Too loud. Too confident. Too spirited.Too… everything. As too much of everything is too much.Their words echoed in my head like glass shattering on marble floors, sharp and impossible to ignore. So I did the only thing that ever worked when the ache beneath my ribs threatened to consume me, I drank. The bottle of vodka felt colder than my heart. I poured glass after glass, like it would drown out the noise, like it would stitch back the parts of me that were crumbling. My fingers trembled as I reached for the bottle again, the bitter liquid burning its way down my throat. It hurt, and for a moment, I welcomed that kind of pain, because at least it was honest. The bar was empty. Just me, the dim light, and the alcohol. I wasn’t drunk. Not yet. But I was spiraling. Fast. The door creaked open, and I didn’t look up. I didn’t need anyone. Not sympathy. Not questions. Not…“Tiffany?”Peter’s voice cut through the si

CHAPTER 99THE TRUTH SPLINTERSAdam POVThe silence of my apartment was deafening, even with the city humming softly beyond the glass walls. I sat on the edge of my couch, my phone in hand, thumb hovering over Aurora’s contact. How do you tell a woman you once tried to seduce that she's your half-sister? How do you tell a woman, that you're in chort with her enemy that you're her half brother?. This was the biggest dilemma I've ever faced.I had practiced a thousand ways to say it. None of them felt right. What if she hates me? What if this breaks her?I sighed, rubbing my face. I didn’t even know what I expected. I had supported Tiffany blindly, craving validation from the only family I thought I had. And all this time… I didn’t know the truth. But now, I know the truth. Victor had laid it bare last night like it was just another power play.“She’s your sister, Adam. Half-blood. Different fathers. Same mother. .”I had laughed at first. I thought it was another mind game. But the

Chapter 98. The claws of truth. Adam's POV.The truth had claws. And it was digging into me, deep into my soul. Clawing away every emotion buried deep inside of me. Victor’s words still echoed in my skull like the ticking of a bomb, sharp and cold. "The woman you think is your mother... isn’t."That was it. That’s all he gave me. No elaboration. No comforting lies. Just that ragged shred of truth that splintered everything I knew about myself. And then he walked away like it wasn’t earth-shattering, like it wasn't a big thing. I sat in the library for hours after, unmoving, the dusty scent of old books pressing into my lungs, trying to calm the storm within me. I didn’t cry. I didn’t yell. I didn’t punch walls or curse the universe.I simply existed. Until that wasn’t enough anymore.I needed answers, more than what I knew. Or more than what I think I know. And this time around u won't take shàllow minded answers anymore. *****************I found Victor again in his office by
