Cassian’s POV

I circled the bed like a wolf circling prey. My sweatpants hung dangerously low, barely clinging to my hips, my arousal unmistakable — a slow, painful throb I didn’t bother hiding.

Reina Vale. My sweet, infuriating distraction.

She thought she could run from me. Run? From me after promising her body to me?

I let out a low, dark chuckle, dragging a hand slowly over her exposed thigh. The red lace I’d dressed her in suited her far too well — sinful and delicate. I'd stripped her bare myself earlier, inch by inch, before sliding the lingerie onto her. That moment alone had nearly broken my control.

But the real entertainment had come before. The chase was getting predictable, and boredom is a dangerous thing in my world. So I released Joshua. Her “husband.” Or whatever role she had once convinced herself he played. I’d saved him, locked him up like a trinket — then set him free just to watch it all fall apart.

I had Leon on video call the entire time. Every scream, every co

  • The Devil's Nurse   How is He The One?

Cassian’s POV“Shouting doesn’t mean you’re making sense,” I muttered, my mind drifting to Reina and the urge to chase after her. The more Lucas repeated his ridiculous line, the more I wanted to rise out of this damn wheelchair and walk away, though not before knocking him flat first.“Boss, remember the trap we set? In your study. The grand plan to catch the real traitor among our men?” he pressed, his impatience grating on me.I nearly hurled a glass across the room, just to remind him who signs his checks. Instead, I settled for a clipped reply.“Okay?”Lucas didn’t flinch, but I saw the muscle in his jaw twitch. His eyes darted to the floor, then back to me, heavy with something he didn’t want to say.My patience frayed. “Out with it, Lucas. You’re wasting my time.”He hesitated, as if weighing his words, and then he finally spoke. Low. Tight. Careful. The name he muttered cut through me like a blade.I went still instantly. Dead still. The kind of still that meant blood would sp

  • The Devil's Nurse   Interrupted

Cassian’s POVReina let out a shaky laugh against my chest, but I bit down on her throat just to shut her up, frustration snarling in my veins. The phone rang again. Insistent. Demanding.“Whoever that is,” I growled, still buried deep inside her, “better pray I don’t answer. Because if I do, they’ll hear you screaming my name.”Her gasp turned into a whimper, and I tightened my grip on her hips, torn between answering the call and breaking the phone in half just to keep her on me.The chair creaked as I shifted again, already hardening, already fighting myself…And the phone kept ringing. The damn phone wouldn’t stop. I snatched it up with a growl, received the call, and dropped it onto the table beside us…never pulling out of her.A voice crackled through the line. Smug. Too casual.“Guess who’s talking to you…”“Fuck you,” I muttered, and then…fuck it…I moved. Slow. Deliberate. My hips pressed up, forcing a broken gasp from Reina’s lips. Her fingers curled into my shirt. “Cassian…w

  • The Devil's Nurse   Can't a Man Fuck in Peace?!

Cassian’s POVThe door shut. The Vertos hadn’t even vanished down the hall when I snapped.“Fuck my resolution,” I muttered against her ear. “I can’t do this. I can’t keep my hands off you.”I grabbed Reina’s face, crushing her mouth to mine. Teeth, tongue, hunger. My chair rattled beneath us, squeaking with every shift as I dragged her onto my lap.Her gasp fed me. I devoured her mouth in a kiss so rough, so desperate, it rattled my chair beneath us. She whimpered into me, and that sound…God, that sound…was my undoing. Her weight pressed down on me, and I gripped her hips hard enough she’d feel it later.“Mine,” I growled against her lips. “All fucking mine.”“You think I can just breathe without you?” I growled into her mouth, dragging my teeth down her jaw. “You think I can sleep without your scent? Without this?” My hands roamed her back, greedy, burning, like I could etch her into my palms. Her fingers clutched at my shoulders, not pushing me away but holding on like she was just

  • The Devil's Nurse   Because of His Woman

Cassian’s POVThe silence that followed that sound was deafening. My trigger finger twitched against the gun, the taste of violence heavy on my tongue.Reina crouched beneath the counter, her frightened eyes peeking up at me, and something in my chest twisted so viciously I almost mistook it for pain. I hated that look on her. Hated that she had learned to hide like prey.I’ve lost too many.I refuse to lose her too. That oath carved itself into my bones as I rolled toward the door, gun steady in my grip. The chair squeaked faintly with each turn of the wheel…my handicap mocking me, but not enough to make me pause. And then Lucas appeared.“What the fuck was that?” I snapped, irritation edging my voice sharper than the blade I used to carry on the streets.Lucas’s eyes darted behind me, no doubt catching sight of Reina’s terrified form under the counter before snapping back to me. His mouth curved into something between grim amusement and reassurance. “We’ve got company.”I narrowed m

  • The Devil's Nurse   The Kitchen Boss

Reina’s POV“I’m in big trouble.”His chair shifted, the wheels squeaking faintly against the tiled floor. My breath caught when his eyes…stormy gray and unrelenting…lifted to find mine. For a moment, I thought I’d gotten away with whispering to myself. But Cassian’s lips curved slowly, dangerously, like he’d heard every syllable.“Come here, Reina.” His voice rolled through the kitchen, deep and commanding, soft enough to sound like a caress.I stayed rooted in the doorway, clutching the frame like it could shield me. My silence had been my shield for days, my punishment. And yet, my body betrayed me. My feet moved. One step. Another. Until I was standing in front of him, foolish prey waiting for the predator’s snare. Before I could say a word, his strong arms wrapped around my waist. And in one swift motion, the man in the wheelchair lifted me as if gravity bowed for him, setting me on the polished marble counter like I weighed nothing at all.“Watch,” he said, his lips brushing clo

  • The Devil's Nurse   I'm in Trouble

Reina’s POVThree days.Three long, heavy days since that night. Since the gun. Since the blood. Since the taste of bile lodged in my throat that refused to leave. And in those three days, I hadn’t spoken more than five words to Cassian. Only when it was unavoidable…directions, yes or no, a forced “fine.” I followed when he ordered me to, but I made sure he didn’t get the luxury of my smile. Or my ease. Or any illusion that I was still the naïve little nurse who didn’t see the monster beneath his broken body.He had tried explaining himself, of course. Told me he knew I wasn’t going to shoot the man, that it was all just to scare the man. Just for…fun. Fun. As if fun meant handing me a loaded weapon and making me stand ankle-deep in someone else’s blood.Well, not ankle deep, but still! And when I refused to buy that excuse, he accused me instead…said I betrayed him. Said it looked like I took the other man’s side. Said he was jealous. Jealous. As if that word could excuse it.He eve
