ログインCAITLIN
Diablo’s gaze was intense. His breath was hot against my skin. His hands were all over me, feeling me as if to determine if I was real. For a moment I began to believe everything Caspian had said except Diablo had called me Laura. Why?
Suddenly, he pulled away. His eyes were darker than they ever were all evening. He ordered everyone out of the room. Taking that as my opportunity to escape, I forced my jelly legs to move.
“Not you. Where do you think you’re going, Caitlin?”
Why not me? I couldn’t possibly ask him that. I kept my head down, twisting the fabric of my dress absently. There was something about the way he said my name… the way it rolled off his tongue. The aura he exuded made the air feel heavy. I could hardly breathe. The rumours weren’t wrong. He didn’t even have to try to make you want to piss yourself.
“Come here.” His voice was low yet authoritative.
It felt like I had forgotten how to walk. I stayed focused, trying to make sure I didn't stumble over my fear. One step at a time. There he sat, one arm over the top of the couch. His legs stretched out and his eyes pinned me right in front of him.
“Sit.”
I dropped right beside him on the couch, grateful to let my shaky legs rest.
“What was the plan, little bird?”
Little bird? There is nothing little about me.
“Why did Caspian bring you here?” he asked again calmly, his eyes lowering to my chest and back to my face.
He seemed amused for some reason. I shook my head, shut my eyes waiting for death. I wasn’t stupid enough to believe Caspian had brought me here without a device or chip to monitor if I was doing my job. Diablo was more terrifying but Caspian was sick. He could go after Vivian if I tell on him.
Diablo stared at me, his expression blank. The side of his lips curled slightly upward.
“Strip.” His expression remained serious after such an outrageous demand.
“No!” I protested before I could stop myself.
What if he just wanted to humiliate me? Or what if… No, I could not possibly think Diablo wanted me. But the way he looked at me… if that was true, I was ready to risk it all. Caspian’s deal be damned. I had my own plan.
I held my breath, pushed my chest outward while trying to reach for my zipper. His eyes focused on my breast. I leaned forward a bit, feigning oblivion. I looked up at him. It was working. Biting back a smile, I struggled a little more.
“I– I can’t reach. It’s–”
“Let me.” His voice was hoarse.
His arms went around me and up my back. He reached for the zipper. His fingers brushed against my skin, sending a shiver down my spine. It was electrifying–good. Diablo’s breath blew hot against my skin. Being so close to him made my body heat up. Maybe it was because I had gone months without sex and my body was betraying me in the presence of a handsome devil.
Slowly, he leaned closer and closer. His face was bare inches away from mine. He brushed his lips against mine and I went still. Couldn’t tell if it was from surprise or excitement. It actually worked but i actually liked it, why? He thrust his tongue into my mouth, his hand caressed my bare back. I moaned into his mouth, ashamed of my reaction to him.
Trailing kisses down my neck, he nipped and sucked while he squeezed on my almost bared breasts. God, I wanted him and that was a huge sin, considering who he was.
“God, I love the way you moan.”
Those words ripped another moan off my lips. His hand slid under my dress, parted my thighs, feeling his way up to my heat. His touch was gentle yet intense. He pulled away, lightening fast. His breathing ragged. Running his fingers through his hair, he went across the room to put some distance between us.
The door opened to reveal a brown haired lady with striking light brown eyes.
“You called for me, Don.”
I hadn’t realized when or how. Guess I was lost in fear to have noticed. She walked over to Diablo and handed him a book and a pen. He scribbled something down then walked over to where I sat and handed me the book and pen.
He hadn’t forgotten about the question after all. He was suspicious but was giving me a chance to redeem myself. This way, Caspian wouldn’t know.
I wrote down everything— the kidnap, the deal except I left out the “seduce Diablo” and “help me destroy Diablo” part. I was going to carry out the plan for my sake or at least live to try again… some other way maybe but I was going to destroy him. Some day.
Then I waved my pen to signal I was done writing. Because he had taken a few steps away, it took him a minute to notice.
“Good, you’re done.”
He read through the writing with keen eyes. Then, he smiled at me. There was something in his eyes I couldn't explain.
“Tina, take her purse, jewelry– everything including her clothes.”
Fuck, no. I would have preferred he put a bullet in my head. Did he expect me to walk out of there without a single piece of clothing?
“Please…”
I doubt he heard me. He stopped anyway, smirked at me.
“Leave her clothes, just search for her properly.” he said with a hint of amusement.
He poured himself whiskey as Tina began to do as she was instructed. A knock sounded at the door.
“Gustavo, I said—”
“Hey, big guy!” The cheerful voice came from the closed door.
Diablo seemed surprised then tensed. Who was this girl?
“Give me a minute!” He announced, checking and rechecking if everything was in order.
Well everything was except me. The last few days had been a rollercoaster of chaos and the last few minutes leading up to that moment were the worst of them all.
Putting away his cigarettes, he rushed to the door and opened it.
“Little cousin.”
I hadn't heard much but I heard that bit. A beauty walked into the room. Her eyes landed on me and then widened in surprise.
“You were indeed busy, Esteban.”
Esteban? So that is the devil's name?
“Shouldn't you be resting?” Diablo asked, staring at her with both impatience and fondness.
She didn't seem even a bit scared of him.
“I'm pregnant, not terminally ill.”
At those words, my eyes lowered to her stomach. She smiled softly at me. For some reason, she looked familiar… The couple!
No wonder Diablo was so interested in them. He was keeping an eye on his family. Something about Esteban's expression made me shudder. Whatever I had done was probably grave— too grave.
I could hardly hear anything else but scenarios playing out in my head– different ways to die.
I heard the slam shut, startling me back to reality. His jaw pulsed, fingers curled to the side. Every step towards me was deliberate.
“Di— Diablo?” I stuttered, backing up until I hit the wall.
“I'm afraid I can't let you go.” His tone was serious.
“Are you — are you going to kill me now?”
I closed my eyes, waiting for the answer I expected. A yes. Instead, I heard him chuckle.
“Not yet, Kitty. First, you have to dance with me.”
Dance? Why?
I should have been relieved but I felt even worse. Why wait any longer if he was still going to kill me anyway? The suspense was killing me.
ESTEBAN Tucking a few strands of hair behind her ears, I leaned forward to whisper in her ear.“Trust me, we wouldn't dance any steps you do not want…”I trailed my fingers down her neck to her creamy blossom. I knew what she was thinking. I said dance and she instinctively started covering herself. Did she really think I was talking about sex?“Señorita, if I wanted to fuck you, I wouldn't ask. You'll be begging me for it.” She gasped at my words. Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.“I'll have someone help you dress.”I walked out of the waiting room and headed to my room. “Don…” I heard Gus call from behind me.“Don't trail behind me, keep an eye Lau— Caitlin. Send someone to help her get ready.”He looked like he had something to say but thought better of it.“Gustavo…” I called after him. He stopped. “Yes, Don.”“Get as much information as you can— everything you could find out about Caitlin Stevens.”There was something about her eyes, the look in them. It wasn't just abou

ESTEBAN Somehow my feet had moved before I realized it. I cupped her face in my hands, scared she’ll disappear into nothingness. But she was right there, fear in her eyes with tears threatening to fall. She was trembling.“Laura?” I couldn’t recognize my own voice.“Diablo, please…” she whispered, closing her eyes as a tear dropped free. She was terrified. I held her close, circling my arms around her waist. She smelled of sweet berries, lavender and a hint of vanilla all coming together to create an intoxicating scent. It felt so good, so real yet so wrong. The Laura I knew wouldn’t tremble at the sight of me. She would smile up at me and call me Etsy like she always did while I did my best to push her away. The Laura I knew died. I buried her myself. I knew she couldn’t possibly be my Laura but still, I let myself hope. Trailing my fingers down the side of her face to her neck, I searched for the one mark that I knew couldn’t possibly be there– the birth mark. There was nothing.
CAITLINStanding in front of the mirror, the reflection staring back at me seemed like a different person. I looked beautiful– felt beautiful. For once I didn't worry about my weight. The dress hugged my curves beautifully, not too tight but not loose. It revealed so much boob that I wanted to ask for a shawl.“Caitlin!” my captor called impatiently, barging into the room. His face softened. “Lovely. You look stunning, Caitlin.” Turning to the makeup artist, he stared at her for a brief moment, “I told you, less is more.”A strange feeling of warmth washed over me. I was literally captured and threatened into all of this but somehow, there I was smiling over his compliment. Still, without him, I would probably be on the streets of Los Angeles. Here I was in Sinaloa miles away from LA receiving princess treatment– not without a price though.“Wear this.”He handed me a blue box. Stunned, I took it then opened the lid to find a beautiful diamond necklace. The delicate teardrop design
ESTEBANSitting across the room, whisky in hand, I watch my mother fuss over Eliana. Eliana, however, seemed to be fed up by both my mother and Scott's policing care. There was something different about Memo– Scott as he preferred to be called– different in a good way.“You both know I'm fine, right?” she said, yawning loudly, “sorry…”She bounced off the couch, her eyes fixed on the walls. She seemed pleased– intrigued by the designs.“Hey, big guy!” she called out.Plastering a smile on my face, I met her gaze. “Yes?”“You didn’t tell me you were into arts. Your place is lovely.”I shrugged at the compliment. “I don’t think my cousin agrees,” fixing my gaze on Scott, I smirked, “Do you?”He didn’t spare me a glance, let alone a reply. I couldn’t blame him. Left to him, they wouldn’t be here. Which is why I had to go through his wife, Eliana. The “ruthless CEO” could hardly say no to his Eliana, giving me the opportunity to bring him home. They had arrived minutes ago but Scott was
CAITLINGet out. The words replayed in my head. I stood there, wide eyed, unable to believe this was Colton.“Colton you–”“What are you still doing here? What part of ‘get out’ did you not get, Caitlin?” he stared at me, nostrils flared like I was some nuisance, a piece of shit.I opened my mouth to speak. What came out was a shaky breath. Circling my arms around myself, I sought for the courage I knew I didn't have. “We’re over, Colton.” I choked out. I held my head high, I wasn't going to let his action break me.“As if he ever wanted you fat, broke bitch like you.” The woman, Bella, said. My eyes flickered over to Colton. Despite the betrayal, I kind of expected him to say something in my defence. No, he laid there smiling, his eyes filled with something I couldn't explain. It sent a chill down my spine. I curled my fingers at my side, stopping myself from reacting. “So it was all a lie?” You never really cared, did you? I didn’t say those words aloud, I didn't have to. His e
