"Aiden?" Isabella answered the phone full of anxiety.

"Did you arrange everything as I told you?" Aiden asked from the other end of the line.

"Yes, but..."

"Great! See you there...

"Aiden, wait!" Isabela called him before he went to hang up. "What do you plan to do?" I don't understand, I thought that first we would talk face to face, that he would give us the information directly and put together a plan...

"I'm afraid it won't be like that, cousin, I unmasked Maximilian personally..."

"What?" Aiden...

"Listen..." Aiden interrupted her. - I know you wanted to do it with Maximo, but I'm afraid we won't have time...

"No, it's not just that..." Isabella inhaled deeply, surprised by these changes in plans. "It's just that I'm worried about doing things like this, Aiden... What if Maximilian tries something?" You asked me not to involve the police and I don't want to...

"Isabella..." Aiden interrupted her again. - Listen... The truth is that I'm going with..." He cleared his throat. “With special guests, people who are willing to help us, but who don't get along with the police...

"What?"

- Don't worry, I know you want to hand over the imbecile Maximilian to the authorities and you will, but first we will bring him a little surprise. Or does it bother you?

"No, it doesn't bother me, you're helping me, but also, if you do it alone..." Isabella hesitated for a moment.

"What?" Is there anything else that worries you? Aiden asked curiously.

"Are you sure you want to do it?" Because Emily will be there, and when she sees you show up after all this time and what you're going to do to her father, we don't know how she might react..." Isabella murmured, knowing the feelings Aiden still harbored for Emily. Aiden sighed, thoughtful.

"I'm sure, I'll do it... If Emily doesn't agree with what I'm going to do to Maximilian, even if the whole truth has been discovered, then there's nothing to do. That will only confirm that Emily is never going to change and that I was wrong about her. Aiden's tone of voice sounded crestfallen.

"Aiden..." Isabella muttered sadly. He knew that Aiden was still in love with Emily, despite the discomfort he felt with the girl's way of thinking.

"Well, let's leave that subject for the moment. Will Mrs. Collins be present as I requested?

"Yes, Max went to look for her..."

- Perfect, I'll see you tonight, cousin...

- Well, take care of yourself. After a heavy sigh, Isabella hung up.

What was Aiden's mystery, special guests, what kind of people were they if they didn't want the police to be there?

Isabella felt a shudder run through her body, a small fright lodged in her heart, the moment of truth had arrived, and it made her anxious that Aiden would not clarify what he was planning.

At the same time, Aiden put away his phone, the young man was traveling in an armored truck, escorting other trucks, were very important people and a key witness, who would tear down the entire house of cards that Maximilian had built.

The young man was engrossed, if he already felt anxious about his inevitable reunion with Emily, with Isabella's words, his pulse shot up more.

He thought he needed time, that he should get away, that he could forget her, but the truth was, that he missed her too much, that he missed her, that he still loved her.

But there was still the dilemma of Emily's attitude, he had been excited about the idea that she could change, however, with their last argument, Aiden had taken the disappointment of his life, when he realized that Emily was still the same spoiled, prejudiced, and proud girl as always.

This was definitely his karma, he had fallen in love with the person who represented everything Aiden had criticized him, his whole life to his entire family: the snobbish and elitist way of acting and thinking.

Aiden felt at a crossroads, his heart jumped just imagining it, he would see her again and surely, she would hate him, that thought hurt him, but perhaps it was better that way, because he felt that they were both very different.

Although perhaps there was a hope, a small spark that Emily would recognize her mistake and how wrong she was, when she saw with her own eyes everything that her own family, her father, hid.

That would be a big slap of humility for the young woman, one that Aiden hoped would open his eyes.

An elegant dinner was organized at the Collins mansion, Máximo himself was the one who prepared it with the excuse of the return of his beloved spouse, but it was not only that, because the couple had important news to give to the family, so in addition to his parents and his sister, some more relatives of the Collins were summoned.

Although the evening was brilliant, as always, with luxury and elegance, the conversation did not seem very lively.

On this occasion, Maximilian did not bother to hide his expression of discomfort, since he no longer had any reason to act.

Under another circumstance, he would have tried to please Isabella, but now that he saw the homeless woman as an obstacle and not as a prize, it was unnecessary for him to hide his contempt.

Emily barely ate a bite, much less bothered to speak, there was only one question she wanted to ask, and she couldn't ask it, because pride was stuck in her throat, how could she ask Isabella about Aiden, when he had always treated her with contempt?

Aiden had been missing for more than a month, he had broken up with her for no reason, well, maybe if there was a reason, Emily had a lot of time to reflect on the last argument they had, and maybe yes, what she said was a little wrong, but that was no excuse to leave her out of nowhere, after everything they had shared.

She wanted to see him, yes, but only to make him pay dearly for his abandonment.

Meanwhile, Marian ate nervously, although her son had not given her many explanations when he went to pick her up, she found this surprise very strange, especially to celebrate the sudden return of his spouse, who already knew all his secrets.

Marian had also noticed something strange in her son's expression, he seemed to behave normally, but his gestures showed a flash of anger and contempt for his father.

In addition, his young spouse seemed increasingly tense, at every moment Isabella held Maximo's hand tightly to give him meaningful looks.

Something strange was happening, Marian was sure of that, which increased her anxiety and fears.

At the same time, now that Maximo was more aware of his mother, he could notice many details that he had not seen before, such as the faint tremors in Marian's hands and how she lowered her head before Maximilian, which made him furious.

But he had to restrain himself, he had promised Isabella, that they would wait for his cousin to blow everything up.

The dining room was kept in silence, you could feel the tension of the place, but the dinner ended without problems and the whole family went to the huge office of the mansion, a place chosen by Maximilian to have a drink and toast, because Maximo, the leader of the Collins family, would make a very important announcement to the small family group.

“ Thank you to all those present for joining us tonight..." Máximo began very seriously. “This is a very emotional moment for my spouse and me... A moment that we could only share with you... Isabella and I..." Maximo stretched out his hand towards the young woman, who was sitting on a sofa. "Come here, darling..." Máximo called her, noticing how her father rolled his eyes, wearied. "As I was saying, Isabella and I, we wanted to announce that soon, our family will be rewarded with the arrival of an heir, my dear spouse, Isabella, is pregnant.

There was a moment of silence, Maximilian could not hide his displeasure, Marian, and Emily their surprise, the others began to murmur, but only a few clapping sounded in applause, echoing in the room.

"Congratulations, cousin!" Aiden's voice, as he opened the office door, made everyone turn around in surprise.

Emily felt a jump in her chest and as her eyes automatically crystallized, Aiden had returned, although he didn't even turn to look at her.

The young man passed by, holding out his hand to Máximo and giving an effusive hug to Isabella, who felt how her body shook with the nervousness of what was coming.

Aiden took a deep breath, although he had avoided looking directly at Emily because of what could be unleashed between them, the young woman's perplexed and hurt expression did not go unnoticed, which he could notice when he looked at her sideways as she passed.

"Hey! Maximilian rose from his place behind the huge main desk. "What are you doing here?" Who invited you? This is a private meeting of the Collins; no Sinclair is invited. He said, clearly annoyed.

"Really?" I thought we were already a Sinclair family with the Collins..." Aiden turned and faced the man with a self-sufficient smile. "Although, if it's an exclusive Collins meeting, the first one who shouldn't be present is you..."

"What are you talking about, boy?" You are crazy? Maximilian got up from his seat haughtily. - Get out of my house right now or I'll kick you out...

"Father..." Maximo growled, while Isabella stopped him, holding him by one sleeve.

"Okay..." Aiden shrugged his shoulders as if nothing had happened. "I'll get straight to the point because the people who accompany me are very busy and don't like to waste time..." Aiden began to explain, while everyone looked at him confused, except Maximo and Isabella.

"Have you become insane?!" Maximilian refuted, absent-minded. "I'll call security!" Let them take you out! He raised the speaker of the phone, when Aiden shouted, as if he were in the middle of a stage.

- What?! Don't you want to meet my guests?!

As soon as Aiden said those words, the door of the office slowly opened, giving way to a mature woman, very beautiful and humble looking.

Aiden asked from the other end of the line."He's not here, he went out with grandma to the beauty salon, they're getting ready for the ceremony..." Máximo answered the phone."What a pity, I wanted to congratulate you, it's a shame that we can't be at Isabella's graduation, we really wanted to attend, but with so much work, it's been impossible for us..."Okay, she understands..." muttered Maximus."Even so, I must say that... I admire you, brother. I don't know how you managed all this alone..." Aiden said. Maximus smiled to himself. - Hey, tell her that I called her and that we send her congratulations and greetings from here..."Yes, I will," said Maximus when the shouts of a little boy interrupted the conversation."Is that Albert?" Don't tell me, they left you as a babysitter again..." Aiden blurted out in a mocking tone.- I'm not the babysitter, I'm the dad... and I do what I came to do, take care of my son, an

Aiden blurted out, leaning back in his seat anxiously.- No, nothing bad has happened... It's just that..." Maximo exhaled heavily, clearly uncomfortable. "I called them to ask them for a favor...""A favor?" Emily raised an eyebrow, in disbelief.“Yes, a very big favor...- Speak now, man... So much extension to ask for a favor? Aiden asked, somewhat amused.- Well... As you know, Isabella will give birth in the next few days, in fact, we are just waiting for the moment to come and, well, I thought that after a few months, when the recovery process passes and we adapt, I... Maximo growled, wielding the weapon at Ricardo."I... Lord... Hey... Collins..." Richard stammered, raising his hands slowly, as surprised as he was frightened.- You hurt my spouse, you disobeyed me, and you are going to pay dearly ... - Maximo said without cleaving looking at him frowning."Mr. Collins..." groaned Ricardo, swallowing thickly, trembling, closing his eyes when he noticed Maximo's determination."Max..." Isabella muttered, approaching her spouse, while speaking to him in a tone full of sweetness."They tried to hurt you..." Maximo growled at Isabella, without turning to look at her, because he knew that she would give in as soon as he met her eyes."But they didn't, look at me, honey..." "Those wretched Sinclair’s, they're going to pay me."Máximo murmured thinking about what he had heard and seen on the video call, with that recording it would be more than enough to sink Héctor Sinclair for the death of Isabella's father. As for Ricardo Sinclair, Máximo did not see him appear on the scene, but for Máximo, it was certain that this man would also be implicated.Immediately, Máximo dialed the emergency number, remembering that Isaac said that there was a smell of burning wood.
