Claire's gaze drifted to the man standing furthest back striking, composed, but noticeably colder than the rest.

The other four watched her with a familiar kind of interest the look men gave a beautiful woman who'd just walked into the room.

She'd clearly made an impression the second she stepped through the door.

The rest of the group carried themselves with an easy, fashionable confidence the kind of polish that read as effortless wealth.

One of them, dark-eyed and sharp-featured, tracked her movement with a focused, almost predatory attention.

Another wore a sharply tailored suit, cool and composed, radiating the kind of authority that suggested serious business credentials.

A third, dressed in a striking silver-gray suit, watched her with dark, glittering eyes and a faint, amused smile.

Claire nearly laughed to herself. *Between Lucas and Ethan already, and now this.*

Every single one of these men, on his own, would have been remarkable. Together, the effect was almost absurd.

Her attention circled back, eventually, to the cold one at the back.

Even in casual clothes, his build was obvious lean, powerful, carrying an edge that read equal parts refined and dangerous.

His eyes met hers, flat and unreadable.

Before either of them could hold that look for long, Lucas and Ethan finished their rounds of greetings with the rest of the group.

Then Lucas crossed the room, took her hand, and pulled her toward the others.

"This is my girlfriend, Claire."

Every set of eyes in the room snapped back to her at once.

Claire felt an odd, creeping realization settle over her.

Why does it feel like I'm the entire point of this gathering?

The weight of that many gazes made it impossible to shake the feeling that tonight, somehow, revolved entirely around her.

What she didn't know was that she was right.

Ethan had organized this specifically to introduce her into his circle.

Man plans. The universe complicates.

Because right after arranging the details, he'd mentioned it to Lucas who'd casually asked the name of the woman he'd be bringing.

That single question had somehow turned into both of them showing up to collect her together.

Surrounded by this many devastatingly attractive men, Claire felt like she'd stumbled straight into some kind of curated showcase.

She nodded politely to the group, smile perfectly composed.

Ethan watched the two of them holding hands, something unreadable flickering behind his eyes before he settled beside the cold, composed one and picked up a glass of champagne from the table.

"Claire. Come here a second."

She was seated beside Lucas, next to one of the more flamboyantly dressed men in the group.

She glanced over at Ethan, who raised his glass toward her with an easy smile, gesturing her over.

Claire rose and crossed the room toward him.

Lucas's expression, watching her go, went carefully unreadable.

Marco Reyes, standing nearby, caught the whole exchange Claire's easy familiarity with Ethan, the two of them now standing close, clearly comfortable together.

There was something charged between them that was hard to pin down exactly.

He drifted closer to Lucas, whose mood had visibly soured, a knowing smirk tugging at his mouth.

"Kane. Your girlfriend train at Ethan's gym?"

Lucas's expression darkened further, something sharp flickering behind his eyes.

"Yeah."

He didn't bother glancing over, just picked up his champagne and drained half the glass in one go.

Marco, having known him long enough to read the signs, filed that reaction away immediately.

Whatever's going on between his girlfriend and Ethan, he thought, *it's clearly more complicated than it looks.

He turned his attention back to Claire, studying her with fresh interest.

"Let me introduce you properly," Ethan said, gesturing toward the cold, composed man beside him, handing Claire his champagne glass as he did. "This is Damon Wolfe."

Claire accepted the glass, studying the strikingly aloof man in front of her.

Damon Wolfe. The name suited him perfectly.

Damon's gaze lifted, cool and distant, sweeping over her with the detached interest of someone entirely unmoved.

Claire smiled politely. "Hello, Mr. Wolfe."

He offered a flat, noncommittal "Hm," before looking away entirely.

Ethan continued the introductions around the room.

Claire, with her sharp memory, quickly filed away each name, a small thrill building underneath her composed exterior.

Being surrounded by this much collective charisma in one room was, frankly, a little breathtaking.

The atmosphere at the table had turned distinctly tense.Adrian's gaze drifted lazily over Claire's composed profile, a wicked smile tugging at his mouth.Without warning, he picked up a piece of duck breast from his own plate and set it on hers, giving her a half-smile."Try this. It's excellent."His eyes lingered a beat too long on her mouth, his voice dropping into something low and deliberate.Claire blinked, caught briefly off guard, then recovered with an easy smile."Thanks."She took a bite, chewing slowly.Genuinely good, she thought, a flicker of real appreciation crossing her face."Mm. That's really good."Lucas watched the whole exchange with a face like thunder. This was a mistake, he thought grimly. Letting Ethan bring her here was a mistake. He knew exactly what she was capable of. Beautiful, and fully aware of it and entirely too skilled at working a room.In the span of one dinner, she'd somehow gotten every single one of his notoriously unbothered friends acting li

Mind your own business.""Lucas and I are practically brothers. What's his is mine too.""Good things are meant to be shared."He took a slow sip of wine, gaze drifting lazily toward Marco, thoroughly unbothered."She's Lucas's now, sure.""Felix, you can't be serious"Marco stared at him, momentarily at a loss.Felix had notoriously high standards.
