Chapter 9

The rays of the rising sun hit my face as the wind danced my long hair. I straightened my hair before riding a tricycle to school.

"Good morning Amara!" greetings to driver Mang Jose. He was one of the customers at our karenderia and a friend of papa then.

"Good morning too."

That scenario started my beautiful day. I don't know but I feel like I'm in a good mood right now. Maybe because it's Monday and my brain is still fresh.

What happened on Saturday suddenly came to my mind. I’ll admit, I enjoyed being with Raxon up there on the hill. What things we talked about all day. And for the first time, I feel so happy just by being with someone I barely know.

"Hi sissy!" Lalaine greeted me. As soon as he smiled, I knew he had a lot to ask. It's definitely about what happened on Saturday.
