I usually wake up early every morning but this morning was different. Everywhere was bright.

I looked down at Mae, whose arms were around me. Thoughts of last night filled my senses. I don't think I would ever forget that feeling. This woman caught me not only by the balls, but my heart as well.

I lifted my hand to tuck her hair behind her ear.

I wanted to see her face clearly. I could feel my heart swelling with emotion as I gazed at her.

She looked so cute, so peaceful, so kissable. Maybe I should wake her with another bout of hot love making. I was sure she would be happy about it.

All of sudden it hit me when the sun rays hit through my window.

Joan.

I shifted a bit to pick my phone from my nightstand. I was more than eager to receive the good news.

"Owen." Mae murmured as she snuggled closer. "Don't go." She thought I was leaving.

"I'm not going anywhere, baby. I'm here."

I made sure she was back to sleep before I switched on my phone. In seconds, my phone was back to life.
