Emilia's POV.

How? How is he the same person? This person standing in front of me is so much more different from the person he was yesterday. His eyes were never expressive but I have never seen them this cold either. It feels like once we stepped out of New York, he became a different person entirely or maybe he just became himself back and I was the one who let my guard down. I fell for that sweet look thing he had going on in New York and look where that got me. He should have been this cruel from the onset, he should have remained this cold from the very beginning.
