Chapter Fifteen

Rori blinked rapidly until things came into focus but what she saw was not the moss covered uneven ground of the wilderness but smooth gray stone beneath her, suddenly and without warning she felt violently ill and proceeded to vomit all over the floor. Kristi was soon at Rori’s side, and she noticed that her friend looked absolutely petrified by fear and was dripping with sweat. She also had small red droplets all over her face. “Kris,” Rori groaned, “I guess I drank too much, let's just go home.”  Rori tried to stand up but fell back to her knees as pain shot from her ankle all the way up her leg. Rori reached down and slid off her heels before grasping the front of her head as even more pain ripped through her temples.
