Damien was nursing a full bottle of whisky in his study when Selene walked in, wrapping her arms around him from behind.

“What are you doing here, Selene?” he sighed, barely looking at her. “Do you need something?”

When she didn’t respond, he turned, his brows drawing together. “Selene?”

But the words caught in his throat.

She stood there in nothing but black lingerie, her blonde hair cascading over her bare shoulders.

“Selene, what are you–”

“Do you like it?” she purred, running her hands slowly down her body, her blue eyes locked on his.

“Like it?” he exhaled, eyes darkening. “I love it.”

She stepped closer, stopping just inches from him.

“You know, Damien,” she murmured, her fingers toying with the buttons of his shirt, “I just want you to know how much I love you.”

Her hand slipped lower, tracing the line of his belt.

“And how much I want you.”

His breathing quickened, his self-control unraveling. God, he wanted her too. She was infuriating, unpredictable, and absolutely irresistible.

“Selene…” he whispered, his voice tight. But before he could say more, she silenced him with a kiss that scorched through him like fire.

“Damien,” she breathed against his lips, her hands fisting his shirt. “Please. I need you. I want you. I love you.”

He kissed her back, hard and deep, guiding her backward toward his desk. She jumped up onto it

, wrapping her legs around him, pulling him close. His hands were everywhere, exploring her body like it was the first time he’d touched her.

“Fuck,” he muttered, his cock hardening as she rocked against him. “You drive me fucking insane.”

“I know,” she smiled, her fingers tangling in his hair. “That’s why you love me.”

He growled, grabbing her thighs and pushing her back onto the desk, sending papers and pens scattering to the floor. He leaned over her, kissing her neck, her chest, the lace of her bra. She arched into him, moaning, her hands tugging at his belt.

“Please,” she gasped, her voice breathy. “I want you so bad.”

He chuckled, the sound low and dark. “You want me to fuck you right here? On my desk?”

“Yes,” she panted, her eyes wide and wild. “Yes, please. Fuck me, Damien.”

“Fuck,” he cursed, unzipping his pants. “You’re going to be the death of me.”

“Then die with me,” she whispered, pulling him closer.

He didn’t need any more convincing. He thrust into her, hard and fast, filling her completely. She cried out, her nails digging into his back as he set a relentless pace. She met him thrust for thrust, her body trembling with pleasure.

“God, yes,” she moaned, her head falling back. “More. More.”

He gave her more, driving into her with a fierce intensity that left them both breathless. He kissed her, tasting her need, feeling her body tighten around him.

“I’m close,” he growled, his grip on her hips tightening. “So fucking close.”

“Don’t stop,” she begged, her voice hoarse. “Don't stop. Please, don’t stop. Tonight is a great night, make me feel like the luckiest woman in the world, my king.”

He cursed, his movements becoming frantic as he chased his release. She felt amazing around him, her body perfect in every way. He couldn’t hold back any longer.

“Fuck!” he shouted, spilling inside her, his body shaking with the force of his orgasm. She held him close, her arms around his neck as she rode out her own climax, her breath hot against his skin.

As the waves subsided, he pulled back, looking down at her with a mix of awe and exhaustion.

“That was…” he started, but words failed him.

Selene smiled, trailing a finger down his chest. “I know.”

He chuckled, leaning down to kiss her again. “You’re incredible.”

“And I’m all yours,” she murmured against his lips.

He grinned, pulling her closer. “And don’t you forget it.”

They held each other for a moment, the intensity of their passion still crackling between them. Then Damien stood, helping her up from the desk.

“Now,” he said, his voice softening. “Tell me what’s really on your mind.”

She froze, her smile faltering. “What do you mean?”

He raised an eyebrow. “I know you, Selene. You don’t do things without a reason. What’s wrong?”

She sighed, her shoulders sagging. “It’s just… Calla. I can’t stop thinking about her.”

His expression darkened, his jaw clenching. “What about her?”

“She’s back, Damien. And I can’t help but feel like she’s a threat to us.”

“calla is my past Selene." Damien said holding her hands.

"But she hasn't even fucking signed the divorce papers and you haven't even married me yet." Selene replied.

"I will. Give me sometime Selene."

“I know you think she’s harmless,” Selene continued, her voice shaking. “But she knows too much. She could ruin everything we’ve worked for. We’ve built this life together, and I won’t let her take it away from me.”

Damien sighed, pulling her into his arms. “I know, baby. I know. But we can’t do anything rash. We have to think this through.”

“But what if she—”

“She won’t,” Damien interrupted firmly. “I promise you, she won’t get the chance the chance”

"We need to get her to sign the papers ." Selene said.

"I can't do that Selene. I have to wait." Damien replied.

“I love you, Damien. I don’t want to lose you to her again,” she whispered.

He kissed the top of her head, holding her close. “You won’t, baby. I promise. Calla is in my past. You are my future. Okay?”

Selene nodded, but the fear in her eyes lingered. “Okay,” she said softly. “I trust you, Damien.”

“Good,” he murmured, stroking her hair. “Now let’s forget about Calla and focus on us, okay?”

She nodded again, leaning into his embrace. “Yeah. Okay.”

He held her there, his mind whirling. Selene was right, Calla was a threat. But he couldn’t risk exposing himself, not now, not after everything he’d worked for. He needed to find a way to neutralize the situation without raising any suspicions.

The next morning, Damien stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his cufflinks as Selene was behind him, helping him with his tie. Her fingers moved with practiced ease, but there was a tightness to her touch, an urgency she didn’t bother to hide. “We actually need to do something about Calla,” she murmured, eyes locked on the knot she was tightening. Damien gave a short sigh, resting his hands on her hips. “I told you, I’ll handle it.” “You said that last week,” she said, her voice sharp around the edges. “And the week before that.” “I mean it this time, and I remember saying it last night. He met her gaze in the mirror, his voice firmer now. “I’ve got it under control.” Selene offered a tight smile and leaned in to kiss his cheek, but her silence screamed louder than any words. As soon as he left, the smile faded. The moment the front door clicked shut, Selene began pacing the length of the living room, her heels echoing sharply against the polished floor. She didn’t believe

Calla stood frozen in the study long after Killian’s footsteps had disappeared down the hall. You belong to me now. The words echoed relentlessly in her mind, anger and panic colliding like a storm inside her chest. He had no right. No one did. Did they never learn? Who did he think he was, claiming ownership over her like a prize? Her eyes dropped to the folder still lying open on the polished desk, its contents a mystery she wasn’t ready to face yet. She took a slow, measured step back. The house, which had felt like a palace when she arrived, now felt more like a gilded cage—beautiful on the outside, but cold and suffocating within. The bastard. To hell with his so-called protection. Her bare feet barely made a sound on the cold marble floor as she stepped into the dimly lit hallway. Her heart thundered painfully in her ears, loud enough to drown out every other sound. She didn’t know the layout of this sprawling mansion, but she would find the exit. She had to. The first

The taillights vanished into the storm, taking with them whatever remained of Calla’s old life. She stood there for a long moment, drenched and shivering, yet oddly satisfied. Good riddance. She turned, ready to step into… whatever life awaited her next. That’s when she heard it—the low, menacing purr of an engine. Another car, right behind her, clearly tailing her. This one was bigger than Damien’s, black with tinted windows. Calla stiffened instantly. The engine idled heavily, almost growling. It stopped, and the driver’s door swung open. A man stepped out—huge, towering, a black cap pulled low over his face. Perhaps Damien’s warnings weren’t just threats; maybe he wanted to finish what he’d started that night. The man called her name. “Calla.” Her heart slammed against her ribs. She took a step back. “Who are you?” Her voice came sharper than she expected. “Answer me.” The man didn’t respond. He started toward her. Instinct took over. She turned and ran. Or tried
