Chapter 25: The Sacrifice
Austin almost chocked on his spit as he saw who the girl was or who he thought she was. “Amanda?” he called with his eyes wide open.
Angela looked at his face to confirm if she heard the right thing then she looked back at the girl who already stopped screaming. The girl indeed looked familiar but she still wasn’t sure it was Amanda. She faced Austin. “How do you know she’s Amanda?”
“I can feel the bond”, he said and faced Amanda again. “Amanda?”
“Who are you?” Amanda said and her eyes closed before she fell limp in Austin’s arms.
“Get the pack doctor. Quick!” he said and carried her bridal style out of the cell with Angela hot on his heels. “Amanda”, he called again but her eyes were still closed and her breathing was a bit ragged. “Oh goddess”, he muttered under his breath as he walked towards the pack hospital.
