Inside King Aldus's office, a serious discussion took place regarding the case that Livia would file against her own mate. "We have already sent the letter from the Dark Feather and Black Shadow Pack to invite them to a meeting about the cases," Mr. Kiko said, and King Aldus merely nodded. He listened silently to the two, with his elbows resting on the desk and his hands clasped together.

"Tomorrow, our council and the council of the second and third ranks will discuss filing cases. In addition, as you ordered, we sent investigators from the Moonlight Pack to help the Luna," Mr. Juan explained, and King Aldus nodded again before speaking.

"Who is the warrior you sent to keep watch there? I don't want any mistakes in this job, Juan," King Aldus said seriously, his eyes fixed intently on Mr. Juan.

"Don't worry, Your Majesty. The Gamma himself chose the one to keep watch in that pack," Juan replied to King Aldus.

A moment later, the door opened, and the Beta entered, followed by Livia.

As night fell, they made their way to Florita’s house. Beta and Gamma sat in the front, while at the back, Aldus held Livia tightly in his arms. She trembled violently despite being wrapped in thick blankets, her fever burning with such intensity that her entire body shook from weakness.“Livia…stop crying,” Aldus whispered, his hand gently stroking her back. Heat poured from her body like fire, and each quiver of her shoulders cut into him like a blade. Before they left, Livia had drifted into sleep at the clinic, her hand clinging desperately to the king’s. But less than an hour into their journey, she awoke from a nightmare of her wolf, her sobs spilling freely ever since.“Aldus… she’s slipping too fast. If we don’t reach Florita soon, she may lose her wolf for good,” Alaric’s voice echoed heavily in his mind. Aldus ground his teeth, forcing down the surge of fear clawing at him. He squeezed Livia’s hand, pressed his forehead to her hair, and whispered like a vow carved into ston

Beta’s voice pulled him back. Aldus blinked and looked up to find the entire council staring at him, confusion in their eyes. He straightened, adjusting his posture on the throne, his expression unreadable. “The trial will proceed only when Luna and her wolf recover. She cannot be dragged before the court in her condition.”The room fell silent, then slowly heads nodded in agreement. No one dares to speak, they are all aware of the situation of the Luna.“Furthermore,” Aldus continued, his deep voice firm.“Inform the Alpha of the Moonlight Pack that the trial will conclude before the competition begins. For now, Luna must be allowed to rest. She has not been able to connect with her wolf. That alone is enough to weaken her spirit—and it is our duty to give her time to heal.” His eyes swept over the room, sharp and commanding. No one dared argue, cause they'll know how to shut their mouth if they don't want to face the Lycan King's wrath.“Why not bring her to Florita? The sorceress

A little while later, the doctor approached her, summoned by Felly’s urgent call.“Good to see you’re awake, Luna. Any pain?” the doctor asked, gently checking her pulse and listening to her chest.“My whole body hurts,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. The doctor nodded knowingly. For a moment, there was silence. But then, like shards of glass piercing her mind, the memories of the forest attack rushed back. Every moment—the struggle, the roars, the fear—returned in sharp clarity. Livia’s heart hammered in her chest, and she immediately grabbed the doctor’s hand, trembling.“Doc… my wolf… Lilly… is she okay? Did you… treat her?” Her voice cracked as panic seeped through every word. She remembered how Lilly struggle. Every howls of pain are still clear to her ears. The doctor’s expression softened, but he shook his head. “I’m sorry, Luna. When the Lycan brought you here, you were already in human form. I didn’t see her condition… I couldn’t…”Her heart sank. Fear and d

After Alaric's run in the forest, they quickly returned to the main house. However, as they walked back, they were greeted by the familiar scent of Livia, which they had become acquainted with when they first saw her at the party. They also noticed that the sliding door leading to the veranda of her room was open. Alaric decided to transform into his human form and headed inside the main house to Livia's room. Aldus knocked on the door a few times and slightly brought his nose closer to the door to sniff if Livia was inside. "Just open it, I can't feel they're inside," his wolf said, so he opened the door. However, what greeted him was an empty room, with no Livia sleeping in the bed. Aldus immediately went to the veranda to gaze into the forest. "Maybe they took a run," Alaric suggested, but Aldus didn't respond, as his attention was focused on the forest. He can feel there is something wrong. They stayed there for a few minutes until they heard a loud howl from inside the forest.

Livia was still gazing out after the two Alphas who left the hall. Aldus noticed her gaze and felt a surge of anger, especially when his wolf spoke up, "How ugly do we look in her eyes that she can't even bear to look at us for half a minute? I want her to look at us the way she looks at your friends. Look at her, the two Alphas are already gone, but she's still staring out." The wolf's words further fueled Aldus's anger. "Shut up!" he growled at his wolf.A few seconds later, he cleared his throat to get Livia's attention. Livia on the other hand got startled and immediately turned to look at him. When she did, her eyes widened as she realized that the Lycan King was still carrying the sleeping Abby. She quickly bowed her head and apologized."Sorry, Your Majesty. I'll take Abby now. I'll carry her to bed." She reached out to take the child, but Aldus suddenly walked away, avoiding her outstretched hands. Livia's brow furrowed in confusion. She slowly lowered her hands and looked at

The words Mr. Kiko spoke like a bomb exploding in front of them. There was complete silence, no one dared to speak, and it seemed like they had even stopped breathing. Everyone's eyes were fixed on the Lycan King, who watched their reactions with a calm demeanor. His expression shows nothing but confidence. They can't read him, only seriousness was there in his eyes. Disbelief was written all over their faces, struggling to accept the revelation that had been laid before them. Who would have believed that their esteemed Lycan King was involved in the case of two fated mates?. No one!. They were all shocked!. No one dared to speak, until Alpha Sebastian broke the silence, reading the atmosphere before his eyes,"May we request an explanation from Your Majesty to clarify this matter?" He asked while looking at King Aldus, who turned to him. It took a few seconds before King Aldus shifted his gaze away from Alpha Sebastian and focused on the council members, who were waiting for his expl
