Valerie woke up very early to get ready for her journey to the Fire Pack. She needed to leave the Pack before most of the Pack members were awake, or she might be blamed again for leaving when the Pack is in trouble. Just like Valerie's cousin, Alpha Jason had promised, her father was sent to the Starlight Pack for treatment. Valerie felt relieved knowing that her father would receive the best care.
