Chapter 1

Prince Lucien Aster’s POV

“You are pregnant, Your Highness,” the doctor whispered, looking at me like he couldn't believe it. “How is this possible? You’re an Alpha...”

“what?”

I grabbed the paper from the doctor's hands, my fingers shaking so hard I could barely hold it. I read the words—2 weeks pregnant—and my eyes widened in shock.

No. No, this can’t be real!

I’m an S-class Alpha, a man... how could I possibly be pregnant?

“NO!” I screamed and sat straight up in bed, gasping for air. Sweat was soaking through my clothes, sticking to my skin.

It was nothing but a terrible nightmare.

I sat on the edge of my bed for a second, trying to stop shaking, before getting up and walking into the bathroom.

I turned the shower on all the way and stepped under the water. I stood there letting the water soak my hair and my body, hoping it would make the heat in my body go away.

I raised my hand, touching the bite mark on my neck before sliding down to rest on my slightly swollen stomach.

Damn that night... I actually got fucked by a damned man, and now I’m really carrying a baby in my belly. It’s fucking terrifying. If my stupid father ever finds out, he will definitely kill me.

“No!” I slammed my fist into the wall. If it wasn't for that damned man, I wouldn't have ended up like this.

Just wait until I catch you—I’ll fucking kill you.

I hated myself. I hated what that stranger did to me. My father already announced my engagement, the wedding preparations would commence after that, and I was supposed to be a proud Alpha leading my kingdom. Yet here I was, carrying another man’s child. And I hated it.

A few moments later, I was out of the bathroom and dressed.

Taking a walk through the hall, I overheard two maids whispering nearby.

“Did you hear? They say an alpha got pregnant!” one whispered with a giggle.

“No way! How can a alpha get pregnant? That’s impossible!” the other gasped.

My heart skipped a beat, and my blood ran cold. Did someone find out about me?! Panic rushed through my veins as I froze in place, sweat breaking out on my palms.

“Pfft, it’s just a joke circulating among the guards! An alpha can’t get pregnant except an omega or an S-class omega whose strength matches with an S-class alpha” the first maid laughed.

“Ugh, you scared me! I thought something crazy actually happened,anyway I heard when an enigma appeared,an S-class omega is close by…”

I let out a long breath, my hand resting on my chest, trying to calm my racing heart. It was just a joke. I reassured myself—besides the doctor, no one else knows my secret. And he’s my best friend; he would never betray me. Also Enigma and S-class omega has gone extict… I need to keep my pregnancy a secret…

“It seems you both are tired of working here!” I stepped out, making my presence known.

The heavy, suppressing weight of my S-class Alpha scent flared just enough to make them tremble. They dropped to their knees instantly.

“Forgive us, Your Highness!”

“Talking about nonsense in the palace? You’re both fired.”

“Cut them some slack, brother.”

That voice... no way. Sylvain. My stepbrother—another powerful S-class Alpha like me. By right, he should have been the crown prince, but because he was born out of wedlock, Father called him a disgrace and deemed him unworthy of the throne.

Sylvain stood in front of me, smiling as usual. He was the only person I could relax around; he loved me despite how cruelly Father treated him.

“Congratulations on your upcoming engagement,” he said, then turned to the maids. “Get going before you really lose your jobs.”

The maids rushed off frantically.

Congratulations? What a bloody joke. Was I supposed to marry omega while carrying a stranger’s child in my belly?

“Brother, welcome back,” I said. Still, we shared a quick hug.

Our reunion was cut short when Raphael arrived with news….Father demanded my presence immediately.

“Let’s go together, brother,” I said.

“We both know Father requested you alone.”

“Yes, but he’ll be glad to see you back.” I dragged him by the hand into Father’s court.

The moment Father saw Sylvain, his face twisted in rage.

“Greetings, Father! Have you been well?” Sylvain asked politely.

“Lucien, I have told you repeatedly never to associate with this bastard!” Father barked. “He brings nothing but shame to you!”

I saw the sharp pain flash in Sylvain’s eyes. “But Father—”

“It’s okay,” Sylvain interrupted smoothly, forcing a gentle smile. “I’ll take my leave. We can talk after your meeting, Lucien.” He bowed. “I shall take my leave, Father.”

As I watched him walk away, I felt a knot in my chest. If Father were to discover my secret, then wouldn't I end up...

“Lucien, it’s time to prove your worth before your engagement,” Father said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“What do you mean?”

“The enemy has conquered Drola Kingdom.”

“What?” I gasped. “We need to help them! They are our closest ally!”

“It’s too late. We are talking about the Nathulos Empire. Those beasts are impossible to defeat, and now we are at their mercy. They cut off all our supplies from Drola. Their Emperor is ruthless, and his son—the Crown Prince—is far worse.”

“So what can I do if we can’t fight them?”

“The Prince demanded an audience with you tonight. This is your chance. Win him over with friendship, and do whatever it takes to make him accept Mia as his bride so we can form an alliance.”

He was actually going to marry Mia off to that man? No, I won't let Mia, my step - sister to get dragged into this political mess. As for the Prince—I'll handle him myself.

“As you wish, Father.”

“Get prepared. He is sending a transport for you. The weight of the kingdom is on your shoulders now, son. Make me proud.”

“I won’t fail you.”

At exactly 8:00 PM, a sleek black car bearing the official seal of the Nathulos Empire pulled up. It was time.

During the long drive, dark thoughts raced through my head. What if I’m walking straight into my grave? No matter what, I wasn't going down without a fight.

When the car finally stopped, my eyes widened. Wait... why are we here?

It was the exact same luxury hotel where I was ruined that night. The entire place was deathly silent—had they evacuated everyone?

The guard led me down the hall and stopped at a door. “The Prince is waiting inside. I shall take my leave.”

I nodded, but my heart was hammering against my ribs. What the hell was going on? The familiar air in the hallway made my mark itch.

I pushed the door open. The moment I stepped inside, the air was thick with a dark, suffocating scent—the exact same scent from that night. This was the very room where it happened.

Before I could even process it, a powerful arm locked around my waist and slammed me onto the bed. It happened so fast, my body freezing like I was under a spell.

I looked up—and my breath caught.

It was him.

“I missed you, my feisty little one,” he purred, his heavy, crushing Alpha pheromones pinning me down completely. “You’re so hard to get, you know? I had to conquer an entire kingdom just to get you back in my arms.”

Oh no... I must be dreaming… This is not happening to me right now…

It can’t be…..

No!!!! No!!!

The man who got me pregnant was actually the Prince of Nathulos.

Someone wake me up from this terrible nightmare…
