Alexandra's POV
I alighted from the taxi, my eyes were still finding it difficult to stay open. I stamp my foot grumpily, whining as I enter the restaurant. Because I was mad at him and my current sleepy situation, I wasn't able to admire the restaurant vicinity. The moon isn't up full, the inside was well illuminated with dim light. I sighted the CEO, he kept glancing at his wrist watch once in a while before our eyes met. “As the CEO, I'm ordering you to get your *ss up and go home now!” His words rang in my head and I snarled, how can he talk about my *ss so casually? I walked forward, yawning and went to settle across from him. “Good morning, sir,” I greeted him in a sluggish manner, stressing my words more than necessary. “I'm gonna get straight to the point,” his voice was laced with urgency and I felt the sleepiness flying out of the window. “You didn't respond to my greetings. I said ‘good morning',” I repeated and he gawked at me. I smiled, “You see sir, if it's about last night. You don't have to worry,” I assured, shrugging my shoulders. “You know, when I was still in highschool, I was the top secret keeper. I'm talking about classified information, eyes-only stuff,” I emphasized on the word classified to make him believe me. “The principal would whisper secrets in my ear during homeroom, and I'd have to decode them using my advanced algebra skills. I was like a teenage Jason Bourne, minus the cool accent and fancy martial arts moves. I knew who was secretly dating who, which teachers were planning to quit, and even the exact location of the school's hidden pizza party fund. It was a heavy responsibility, but someone had to do it. I was like a human vault, locked and loaded with secrets,” I narrated, adding, multiplying and subtracting what actually happened. He continued to look at him with a seldom gaze. I was expecting his response but he didn't look like he was gonna say anything. Maybe he needs more assurance or I need to be a little truthful to him. “Okay. But let's just say, one time, I accidentally spilled the beans about the school play's surprise ending... and, well, let's just say the drama club still hasn't forgiven me. But for you, my lips are sealed,” I dramatically used my fingers to zip up my lips. “Are you done?” I was embarrassed to hear him say that. I nodded weakly and he finally moved closer, dropping his hands on the table. “Avoid going home late for the next one month. Well, your work has been lifted anyways so you don't have to keep on working overtime. And of course, you didn't see anything last night and that remains hidden. Are we good?” He asked, looking at me expectantly. A sarcastic response was about to escape my mouth but I bit my lips to swallow those words. Instead of talking, I nodded without looking at him. “Good. Order anything you want,” he stood up after that and walked out of the restaurant. I was surprised by this. ‘Did he just ask me to come all the way here to hear this?’ I scrunch my face up before dropping my head on the table. That could have been said over the phone. Then what he just said sank into my head. Order anything you want. I raised my head with a thoughtful expression, is that a way of saying sorry? A sheepish smile formed on my lips and I went to take my orders. I hadn't had breakfast, so saying no to free food isn't an option. I arrived at the company at the usual resuming time. I intentionally carried the restaurant bag for my team workers to see it and praise me for going to such an expensive restaurant. I got some chocolates for them also. Rehearsing how I would tell them having breakfast in that kind of a place is nothing, I strolled in with a sweet smile. “Ta-da! Good morning, everyone!” I gushed excitedly. They all turned to me before their gaze fell on the bag I was holding. Miss. Wang hissed loudly before storming away. That was surprising because I made sure to finish her work last night before leaving. “Morning,” Sarah was the one only that responded. I forced a small smile before rummaging through the nylon and brought out a chocolate. “I saw you eating this some time ago. So I got this for you,” I passed the chocolate to her but she only stared down at it. “I don't accept things from favoritism recipients,” she flashed me a fake sweet smile, bumping into my shoulder as she walked away. I was left in the dark, not knowing what I had done wrong. I went to my desk dejectedly, my mood was suddenly dampened by all these. I opened my laptop, also taking out my phone to see if I have gotten a text from Sophia. That wasn't the case. Sighing, I decided to continue with my work when an email popped up on my screen. I clicked on it and my eyes widened in utter shock that I couldn't help the scream that disrupted my throat. “What?!” my bulging eyes were glued on the “congratulations, Miss Acosta. You have been promoted to be the chief strategy officer of….” The rest didn't get to me and I squealed loudly. Opening my eyes, I found my team workers were looking at me weirdly. I finally realized what caused the weird vibes this morning. I was about to talk when one of them beat me at it. “How long has it been?” Mr. Stephenson asked me. I raised a brow, not understanding what he meant. “I'm sorry. I don't quite understand,” Sarah suddenly shoved her phone to my view. The screen brightness made me squint at first before I read the headlines. “What?!” I shrieked loudly, jerked up from my chair and collected her phone to re-read what I just saw.Alexandra's POVWith a radiating smile as ever, I walked down the aisle with Julian's Dad beside me. My eyes were fixed on Julian all these while, and the guests’ eyes were on me.He looks so handsome in his white tailored-suit. His hair was slightly cut with a smooth side part, standing with his hands locked together in his front.“Careful dear,” I heard his Dad saying to me, I flashed him a smile, nodding as we continued to approach the altar.Majority of the guests were unfamiliar to me, but related to Julian's family. My only family was my mum, my eyes searched for her through the crowd and I found her.She was by my left, having teary eyes. Before I could get more overwhelmed than I already was, we arrived at the altar. With a curt nod, Julian's father gave my hands to him and I looked at him. His Dad patted him before walking away.“You look stunning,” Julain complimented and I blushed without responding. The priest began the opening prayer and everywhere was silent.Fast forwar
Alexandra's POV“No. I just want a simple flowy gown. You can come up with the design but I don't want it to be too flashy as this one,” I instructed the wedding designer, declining her suggestion to the gown she wants to make for me.“Okay, ma'am. Got it,’ she flashed me a smile, packing her belongings before leaving the house. I stood up and stretched my body, heading to where Julian was.He was with the event planner and I can't help but feel giddy with the way everything was going.“Hey, baby,” I greeted as I walked closer to him. He pecked my cheeks, pointing at the settings of the hall he was going for.“Do you like them?” He asked with a beautiful smile. The settings were simple, and elegant.Nodding, “I love it. We will go for this, sir,” I said to the man.“All right then. I will be on my way,” “Drive safely,” “Thanks, ma'am,” we both bowed curtly at each other before he walked out. Immediately the door was closed. I squealed excitedly;“Yay!” I hugged Julian tightly. He on
Alexandra's POV“Baby, wake up,” a voice said softly. I hummed in response with my eyes closed, snuggling closer to the owner of the voice.“Wake up, sleeping beauty,” Julian used my hair to make feathery touches on my face. I rubbed my face roughly before fluttering my eyes opened. He was smiling at me sweetly before he kissed my forehead. Wishing me a good morning and I yawned soundly.I was stunned when he covered his nose, shifting away from me.“Really?” I scoffed, displaying a playful angry expression.“Your morning breath,”“I know right. But you shouldn't have made your displeasure known in that manner,” I said with a slight frown kiddingly.“It smells divine. But I just wanted to be sure that's why I covered my nose,” he made a lame excuse and that got me snickering. I stretched my body and the duvet fell off.I was totally naked! His eyes lingered on my chest before he made a funny face.“Meow,” I slapped his shoulder when he made that teasing sound. We both chuckled as I co
Alexandra's POV“Hmm,” I moaned as Julian's and I's tongue got entangled. His hands roamed my bare thighs and I shivered because of his cold palms. We were both aroused at this point and I was just in my underwear already. His eyes ogled my body with lust flashing through his eyes, I pulled him closer and kissed him more. The kiss was intense and sloppy, he gave my butt a gentle squeeze. And I moaned louder.“I think we need to stop,” he said huskily, kissing me back. I tried to collide our bodies together, my arms around his neck.I hummed in response without letting go of him. He tried to push me slightly but I didn't bulge. We were both horny and I see no reason why we have to stop now. The room was dark, dimly lit with blue light.“Baby listen,” he succeeded in stopping me, holding my hands. I pouted and he chuckled, pecking my lips.“I want you. More than you want me but we need to stop,” he cautioned. I wriggled my hands from hands hold, held his jaw and kissed him hungrily. He
Alexandra's POV“Are you sure?”“Yes, get on with it already! I see nothing,” I said in a slightly raised voice at my mum. I was all dressed up in a fancy silver dress, my hair was swept to the side with a jewel comb. And the diamond necklace on my neck sparkles under the bright chandelier light in the room, together with my earrings. My make-up was minimal which I was grateful for but I still see no reason for this. Julian called, and I was asked to dress up to attend a party. Now that we have arrived, my eyes were covered with a blindfold with my mum leading me inside the hall. My three-inch heels soft click sound on the floor was heard as we entered the grand hall. For some reason, I was jealous of the owner of the occasion. Perhaps Julian doesn't want me to know my way in or something. Whichever reason it might be, I still couldn't find one to support his decision.“Aren't we there yet?”“Soon, baby. Be patient,” my mum responded and I responded with a sigh.“Is Jasmine with Julix
Alexandra's POV“DLS corporation proposed a deal. And I smell something tricky in there,” Marcus pointed out as Julian glanced through the contents. His expression deepened before he passed the folder back to Marcus.“Baby, what's happening?” I asked him with concern written all over my face. He shook his head and kissed my forehead.“It's nothing to be worried about. I got this,” he kissed my forehead again before rubbing Julixa's head and turned to Marcus.“My car or yours?”“Are you leaving?” I asked in a slightly raised voice.“Mine,” Marcus responded.“I'll be back soon,” Julian said to me before walking out, leaving me to guess what could be happening.I dropped Julixa on the floor and bit my fingernails nervously.“Is Julian out? I heard a car driving out,” I turned around when I heard a voice. It was Jasmine, she was coming down from the stairs.I nodded before sitting on the couch. She came to me and crouched.“What happened? Did Julian fight with you?” She asked me in a more
