Chapter Eighteen

Brainless:

Jonah hung from his hands struggling, the pain  in his shoulder was searing. He had been attempting to break the rope by rubbing his hands and hoping that the hook holding the rope in place would fray them. The ropes did fray but the pain in his shoulder was becoming too much. He felt like any second his shoulders would be detached. He tried his hardest to stand on the tips of toes but he could only balance for so long. A light was seen at the far end of the hull and the sound of footsteps echoed the empty shell. Jonah began to prepare himself mentally. He knew Kenton wouldn't be able to stay away long. He had someone with him and the person was quiet as they approached. Kenton smiled sickly as he walked by Jonah.

“Over here.” Kenton said was almost happy.
