VIOLET

"Babies, dinner is ready," I shouted from the dining room, putting the last dish on the table. The children ran inside almost immediately, their eyes radiating elation.

"What is for dinner, Mummy?" Nyla questioned, settling on her chair. Her eyes were fixed on the steak on the table. "Mummy! There's a stick (steak)," she shouted. Her lips parted into a wide, cheeky grin. "You are the best, Mummy," she affirmed before digging into her food.

I chuckled, sitting down. "Stop that, Nyla. What must you do before eating"? I raised a question.

Nathan and Nyla glanced at each other. Then, she shifted her gaze to me. "Pray before eating," she answered truthfully with pouty lips. "I am sorry, Mummy,"

"Nathan, pray for us," I beckoned before closing my eyes and clasping my palms together.

"Bless this food, Lord," he simply said, and we chorused, "Amen."

Opening my eyes, I breathed out loudly and said, "Alright. Let's eat, kids."

It was as though the duo had been waiting for me to

VIOLETI was fast asleep when I heard my phone ringing from afar. It took me a lot of hissing and grumbling before I opened my eyes to pick it up. When I saw the caller ID, I was a bit shocked. I mean, what could be making Stewart call at that time of the night? It was already past midnight. My curiosity took the better part of me, and I picked it up. Maybe I shouldn't have because I wasn't prepared for the things I heard when I did. He was drunk and was talking gibberish. And what did I hear him say? He wants me back? Does he want my forgiveness? I couldn't help but cackle out even though I was boiling with rage inwardly. When I had had enough of his nonsense, I disconnected the call in his ear, switched the phone off, and went back to sleep.I was such a fool for not ignoring the call when I saw his name as the caller ID. The bastard just ruined my sleep.*It was a day before Vincent's birthday, and I decided to stop by at the TY design to get a dress for his birthday. My wardro

STEWARTI didn't have plans of visiting the club today, but after everything I had gone through for the past seven days, I thought it would be wise to unwind and clear my head, which was the reason I drove to the club. When I got into the VIP section, I settled down and ordered my favorite wine. Just as the attendant came back with it, I remembered I hadn't locked my car. You can call me a fool for forgetting something like that, but an important call came in when I was trying, and that was what made me assume I had done that before leaving. IInstantly, I sprang up and hurried outside to lock my car. However, I didn't prepare myself for what I was about to see. I saw Willow in my car, kneeling. And behind her was somebody I couldn't catch a glimpse of because her body was broadly covering his. I was shocked. What the hell was she doing there, with another man, in my car? Did she have no iota of respect for me? Was this the same woman I had planned to spend the rest of my life with?

GENERAL "Knock! Knock!!" Vincent mumbled as he walked toward Violet's table. This was the first time he would be coming to her office, and that was because it had been seven weeks since she had been avoiding him.Violet chuckled and stood up from her seat. "Don't come in," she joked, strolling out of her work area. She sauntered to the visitor area, which was just a small space before her work area. It has four sofas and a table. The duo met and hugged each other warmly. "I was surprised when my secretary told me a man came to look for me. I didn't know it was you." She mumbled amidst her chuckles, breaking the hug. "Please, make yourself comfortable," she added, pointing at one of the empty couches. "Are you perhaps expecting it to be somebody else? Hmmm... Like the stalker at the party," he uttered, hiding his seriousness under his chuckles so that it could appear as a joke. Violet felt something was wrong with the question, but she never bothered to think deeply about it sin

GENERALThe children sauntered to their mother's bedroom. They wanted to apologize for what happened the previous day because they could feel that it angered their mother. They had never seen her as furious as she was the previous day.Nathan was the first person to walk in after knocking. Then, Nyla followed suit. Getting inside, they met Violet sitting on the bed with a laptop on her lap. She was working with it.She saw the kids but darted an indifferent gaze over them. Deep down, she wasn't annoyed anymore, but she just wanted to confirm that they had learned from their mistake and were ready to apologize. "Good morning, Mummy," Nathan muttered, his eyes and voice filled with fear. He clutched his clothes tightly. "Mommy, we are sorry," Nyla added, licking her lower lip. She was scared to the bone. The thought of their mother raising her voice at them one more time terrified her. It was an awful experience the previous day, and they didn't want to experience such again.Viole

STEWARTViolet hated me to the core. I mean, I knew she hated me, but I didn't know that it was to this point. I knew I did the wrong thing. I wasn't supposed to go to the children's school when their mother didn't permit me. I was just overwhelmed. Ever since I found out about them, I've been thinking about them. I couldn't believe that I was already a father. I couldn't believe that I had two children. Everything happened so fast that I decided to go see them at the school myself. You can say that I just wanted to be certain. I wanted to be sure everything wasn't a dream. My plan was just to watch them from afar and return to work. I intentionally got there early because I knew they would be picked up soon. However, I didn't expect the children to run out just a few minutes after their closing hour. They were laughing hysterically as they chased each other in the street. I was surprised. Do they go home by themselves? Nah! Violet wouldn't leave her five-year-old twins to wander t

VIOLETMy eyes widened and a gasp escaped from my mouth when I recognized the man who saved my children to be Stewart Johnston. "What the fuck!" I spurted out without restriction. I didn't know the best way to react. How the hell did everything happen? "What are you doing, Stewart?" I threw a question at me. I knew that was unexpected. I mean, who asks their children's rescuer such dumb questions? But I was perplexed. Tons of emotions swirled within me, and anger was dominant. Should I be happy that someone was there to save my children or be angry that he went there to save my children? "Violet, you are here!" He said, trying to force out chuckles even though it was evident that he was in pain. I think he sprained his legs again because the same place that was bandaged one month ago was the only place bandaged this time. "That is not the area of concentration, Stewart. What the hell happened? How did you end up in my children's school?" I fired. I couldn't even control my vo
