~GENERAL~

Their lips captured each other's, and they sucked on them as if their lives depended on it. Like they had been starved of it for many years.

It started languidly at first, but as they became engrossed in it, it intensified.

Stewart's hands found their way to Violet's body. They roamed all over like he was memorizing every inch of her skin. It was like a painter tracing the contours of his favorite masterpiece.

And she responded to every touch of his fingers as though they spoke a language only she could understand. She shut her eyes, moaning and savoring the moment she didn't want to end.

He bit her lower lip and thrust his tongue into her mouth the moment she groaned. He swirled his tongue in her mouth like it was a whirlwind.

Slowly, they peeled their clothes off one after the other like it was a banana, leaving just her brassiere and panties.

They broke the kiss and pierced their gazes into one another. Their eyes telling stories they refused to let out, confessing the

~VIOLET~ "Bye, Mommy," Nyla and Nathan muttered, waving as they ran out of the house in their school uniforms.I waved back, picking up my cup of tea from the table while chewing the sandwich. "Okay, honey. I love you." "I will take them to school now, ma'am," Their nanny said, bowing curtly, and I nodded my head. The house suddenly went silent as the children left. I finished my breakfast, snatched my bag and car keys from the table, and strolled out.As soon as I stepped out, I saw a familiar car in front of the apartment. For a moment, I thought I was hallucinating. I couldn't believe it was Stewart's car.I was still trying to figure out why his car would be in front of my apartment at that time of the day when I saw the door open and he got out of it.Fully dressed in his black kiton. He looked like money had a favorite child, and it was him. The fabric hugged his frame with the kind of ease that only bespoke tailoring and old wealth could afford. His shoes, polished to a q

GENERALThe children were already asleep by the time Violet returned home. She flung her bag, tossing it onto the bed as soon as she stepped into the bedroom, and she slumped on the bed, flopping her hands with her back against the bed. She stared blankly at the ceiling, unable to explain what she was feeling after getting what she wanted. "I love you, Violet," His confession ran in her ears again, and she cackled out, cupping her reddened face. The feeling was one she enjoyed and wouldn't want an end. She placed a hand on her chest as she thought about the whole thing. It turned out that she was just jealous for nothing, and he really wanted her. He only did what he did with Amelia to avenge what she did to Vincent. He was trying to make her feel the same thing he felt when she was touched by another man.She turned over in the bed, her face in the bed, and she hit the bed happily, swinging her legs in the air.*Stewart wouldn't stop smiling as he drove home. He finally got what

~VIOLET~A spark—no, a surge—shot through me the second his lips touched mine. It wasn't soft. It wasn't careful. It was a jolt, like my body had been waiting for this without telling me. I couldn't think. I didn't want to. My thought shattered, useless against the pull of him. It wasn't just a kiss. It was a shift, quiet but seismic—like something inside had been waiting for this, for him, without ever saying it out loud. And now that it had happened, I knew one thing with terrifying clarity. I wouldn't be able to go back to who I was before. When he didn't get a response from him, he bit my lower lip, just enough to make me gasp, just enough to make me want more. He took advantage of the moment I gasped to thrust his tongue into my mouth. The spark didn't fade; it deepened, flaring into something slower, hotter. My hands moved before my thoughts did, reaching for him like instinct had taken over. I wasn't thinking about right or wrong, past or future. Only the way his mouth found

VIOLET~The way he was laughing with her spiked my blood. What the hell was he trying to prove? Those two were shameless. Hugging and laughing in public? Oh my God! Things like that should be banned from the public. He rushed to the other side and made an attempt to open the door for me, but I slapped his hands away. "My hands are intact. Don't open the door for me like some sort of crippled human," I barked at him, hissed, and pulled the door open.I saw his brows arched. How dare he act surprised? How dare he feign ignorance when he knew what he did? He made me wait while he flirted with some girl, and he didn't even think to apologize. He hopped into the car and sighed. "Did you enjoy the play?" "I don't think that should be any of your business," I snapped at him sharply, hissed again, and tilted my head so that I could look through the window. There was no way I could stare at the eyes of a cheat. Yeah! A cheat. If he wasn't a cheat, he wouldn't lead me on just to end up laug

~VIOLET~Ever since Vincent left, Stewart hadn't said a word, and he avoided my gaze. His expression deepened with his brows furrowed. I was surprised.I was certain he had something to say before Vincent interrupted. However, since he left, he never made an attempt to say a thing. The aura emanating from him was off and unwelcoming. There was something wrong, but I couldn't put my finger on it.Did he have some sort of argument with Vincent before today that ruined his mood the moment he saw him?I had plenty of questions, but I couldn't ask because his mood wasn't just right. He looked like a baby whose milk had been taken from him—annoyed but cute.He sipped his glass of wine gently, still avoiding my gaze like a plague. "Is there a problem, Stewart?" I finally asked when I couldn't hold it in anymore. I needed to know why he was this way. "No!" He sharply responded, his face focused on the sea. "Are you sure?" "Yes. I am. Did you do something wrong?" He questioned, tur

~STEWART~We ate in silence, fighting the urge to speak to her. Everything about her screamed perfect. From the way she took her cutlery to the way she ate her food. You could call me a love-struck bastard, and I wouldn't care. I had a lot to say to her, but I didn't know a better way to utter those words without getting her angry.I was afraid the feelings I thought were mutual could be my assumptions, and that could ruin the wonderful moment we were supposed to have today. And risk was one of the things I didn't want to take today. Whatever it may be, whether assumptions or not, I would just say them another day and let things play out the way they ought to. "Gosh! The food is so good," she spurted out, dropping the cutlery. A satisfied smile appeared on her face, and she cackled out while staring at the sea, her steady breath beating the rhythm of the waves. For a moment, I guessed she forgot about my existence. To be honest, I loved that for her. It felt awkward that we could
