When we arrived at the café, Victor and Daya were already waiting at a table. The look on Victor’s face when he saw his brother walk in with me was priceless. Daniel and I looked at each other and smirked at their mouths gaping open. We walked to their table and sat opposite them.

I held up one finger, asking them to wait, and I took a voice recorder out of my bag. I turned it on and spoke, “Now that we are all here, Victor, since you chose to bring your mistress, Daya, I brought your brother, Daniel as my witness. So, what did you want to talk to me about?”

Victor demanded, “I want the beach house.” I laughed, “We both know that is non-negotiable. I will get the beach house. You have the option to buy another one or to buy some land and build one. You can afford it if you sign the papers that are waiting at your attorney’s office.

“If you do not sign them, I will sue for divorce and you know that will not be a quiet ordeal. I will go public with our marriage and show evidence of how y
