Victor POV

Our court date has snuck up on me. My attorney called me this morning asking to meet in order to prepare for tomorrow’s hearing. I decided I would rather do it in the early evening so everything would still be somewhat fresh on my mind. He didn’t tell me that he asked my mother and Daya to join us.

I haven’t been answering Daya’s calls for the past few days. She called me this morning pissed off beyond belief, but she never told me why. I just assumed it had been because I haven’t been answering her calls. She showed up early for the meeting and proceeded to tell me that Harley had her arrested for trespassing.

I furrowed my brow, “What are you talking about? How did that happen?” Daya waved him off, “That doesn’t matter. She’s evil!” I shook my head, “I will not do anything about it until I know the absolute truth about what happened. I’ve known you long enough to know that when you wave me off, you are hiding something or you are trying to lie about it. So, if you want my

  • The Ex-Wife He Never Knew   Chapter 95

The next morning, I woke up much later than usual and Daniel had already left for work. I picked up my phone and found a text from Daniel, “Good morning, love. Sorry I had to leave early today. I wish I could be there with you today. I hope you will take it easy today. Dad is coming over this morning to keep you company. I love you. Have a good day. D” I chuckled knowing Theodore will be here to babysit me… not keep me company.I ran my hand over my belly and noticed it felt bigger. I went to the bathroom and started the shower. When I got undressed, I looked at my reflection in the mirror. My belly was noticeably bigger, but not so big that my dress wouldn’t fit. I smiled as I spoke to my babies, “You two are growing so much now. I’m so proud of both of you.”I took my shower, brushed my teeth, and brushed out my wet hair. Deciding to let my hair dry naturally that day, I walked to my closet and decided to wear a pair of leggings and a loose T-shirt. I decided that I would be making

When we landed at home, we immediately went to Angela’s office and completed the paperwork. On video call with the other real estate agent and the previous owners, we were talking about the property and we were told of about a hidden room off of the master bedroom in case of a break-in. I looked at Daniel and smiled, “I love these people.”When the papers were signed by us all and the transfer of ownership was done, Daniel did an electronic transfer for seven hundred, fifty thousand dollars. I asked, “Angela, with all the excitement of finding the perfect house, I forgot to ask how many acres of land there is.” Angela smirked, “You now own eight hundred acres of land. Your nearest neighbor is ten miles away.”I smiled, “That is so awesome. I think we need to build a couple more guest houses for security personnel.” Angela laughed, “Hon, you have a total of four of those houses plus a gate house at the gate at the end of your driveway. That’s what happens when you make your decision ha

When we landed at the second helipad we were greeted with a gravel walking trail. When we reached the first building, Angela smiled, “This is a barn for horses. The owners have already moved out so, if you choose this one, you will be able to move in immediately.” Daniel smiled, “We’ll keep that in mind.”As we walked into the barn, I smiled, “I love this. It’s perfect for horses.” I saw a door next to the barn stalls and found it led to the tack room. There were hooks for harnesses, reins, and lead ropes and there were three sawhorses for saddles. I added, “It looks like they knew what they were doing. There is even a mini fridge for medicines.”I walked out the other end of the barn and it led to a large corral. I smiled, “This really is a perfect set up for horses.” Daniel asked, “Do you want horses?” I nodded, “I want a ranch. I want horses, miniature horses, cattle, chickens and turkeys.” He laughed, “You don’t want sheep?”I smiled, “I would love to have sheep if I could learn h

I woke up the next morning to feather light kisses on my shoulder and a strong arm around my waist. I sighed, “Good morning, my love.” He chuckled, “I think I might be able to make it a better morning.” I laughed, “I love it when you wake me up like this. It’s the best. You know I will never refuse you.” Daniel lifted my leg and immediately slid inside me. He groaned, “I’m so glad you won’t refuse me.”An hour later, we were sitting at the table, waiting for our breakfast. I had my sketch pad, designing the watch band for Scott while Daniel was reading the financial news on his tablet. I looked around the room and laughed to myself, “After getting hot in bed and then a steamier shower, this is a total contrast.”Daniel leveled his gaze at me and smirked, “What are you thinking?” I chuckled, “I was just thinking how mind boggling the speed at which the atmosphere between us can change. An hour ago. I went from calm, to hot and wild, to steamy in the shower and now we are both so calm l

Harley POVAs soon as Daniel left, I called my friend, Ray Wilcox. He answered on the first ring, “Hey, Harley, what’s up? I haven’t heard from you in forever.” I smiled at his eagerness, “Hey Ray, it has been a long time. A lot has happened since the last time we talked. First, I am divorced now and I’m only designing clothes for fun. Next, I started selling my flea market finds. I have a shop called History Recreated, History Reclaimed. You should stop in and see it.”I paused and Ray chuckled, “Sounds like you’re busy.” I answered, “I am. Daniel and I are getting married next Saturday, so right now I’m making my dress and I will be making the bridesmaids dresses sometime this week. I’m also starting a jewelry shop and studio. My shop will be the only jeweler who designs and makes the jewelry.”Ray gasped, “I’m really glad to hear that. What do you think of making bands for my watch faces. I’ll give you a percentage of my half of each sale.” I chuckled, “You read my mind. I may ask

Daniel POVHarley furrowed her brows at me and I smiled, “Just hang in there with me, love. I’ll explain when I get back. Okay?” She nodded, “Okay. I’ll wait.” I kissed her deeply and looked into her eyes, “Are you going to be okay?” She nodded, “Of course. Amy and Annie are here. They can keep an eye on me.” He smiled, “Okay, love. I’ll see you later.” She smiled, kissing me gently, “See you later, love.”I walked out the door and drove to dad’s house. When I got there, I knocked on the door and walked in. I found dad and Victor in dad’s study, “How ya doin’, dad?” Dad smiled as he raised his gaze from a document, “I’m okay, son. How are things with you and Harley?” I smiled, “Everything is still great. We had an issue in Vegas. That’s why Victor is here with me.”Dad furrowed his brow, “What happened?” I answered, “Olivia Frost put out a hit on Harley. One found her, noticed she was pregnant then approached me at the hotel and told me about it. Another one found her at the venue. I
