Third POV.
They knew how proud everyone was of them, the team won the game because of them and they were so cocky of it. But Orion had to be so much of the jerk, by teaming up with the number sixteen of the opposing team. If it wasn't for Casper that had come between them, Kieran and Rowan would have beaten him up, there in the rink and nothing would have happened. The worst would be them being penalized and they were okay with it. "We should take her to the cafe down town to celebrate our win." Casper suggested. On a normal day, after their win, they would have ended crashing at Rowan's place, drinking away their happiness but for once, they wanted to make a change and it was for a woman that they had ropped into theirs. "My boy is stepping out and coming out of his shell." Rowan commented, wrapping a hand around Casper while dragging him down to the car park. It was dark, though the street light illuminated the entire streets. From afar, the cricket made sound, that funny sound that was disturbing yet, it wouldn't stop one from sleeping. Emrys was the first to sight three people standing by their car, one was obviously Zoey and the two? They weren't sure until they got so much closer. "Oh, fuck this shit man." Kieran cursed under his breath as they walked closer. Orion and his little new slut had cornered their new price, the one that they had used so much energy to get on their team. "You never wear a jersey with my name on it." Orion said, as much as he had tried to make his voice hushed, it came out loud enough for the boys to hear. Zoey had seen them, their hefty shadowsv announced them first until they came into light. She swallowed hard before thinking of the right answer for her ex boyfriend and his new babe. "Because you had never made me feel so good as they did." She taunted. He had taken a step forward, but she wasn't scared because she had her boys waiting for him to make a wrong move. "I think this dick ass conversation ends now." Rowan announced. He strongly grabbed Orion by the collar, dragging him back. "You think they are going to save you when the time comes?" Orion scoffed, while Luna braced him, she hasn't said much since they cornered Zoey, which was surprising. "These boys will use you like the toy that you are and throw you away when you need them the most." "Okay, she has heard enough." Emrys uttered, helping her into the passenger seat. "Don't mind him." He pushed a strand of her hair away from her face. Without saying anything to Orion, they all entered the car, with Kieran driving them out of the dim parking lot. He had always been the one to drive them around, because for what had happened to Casper, he hated sitting behind the wheels while Rowan wasn't always in the mood to drive them and Emrys? He has always been out of the picture "You really need to stop talking to him." Said Casper. His voice was low, but it showed how much he was trying to hold back. He was angry, he wanted to hit Orion, or at least something to let go of the anger, but he just couldn't. The boys wouldn't even let him and not to forget that he needed the perfect time to have Orion suffer. They could see the time coming at them soon, they just had to plan it properly. "I..." Zoey started but she stopped taking in a deep breath. She opened her mouth again to say something but was cut off by the sound of Rowan hissing. "That son of a bitch." He cursed under his breath. If he had gotten the chance, he would have taken the bastard out but no, he needed the good image, at least for himself even if he wasn't going to do it for his father. The ride was a very quiet one, with Brittany Spears playing in the radio. It was Zoey's song of choice and they let it play, although they had argued about how she wasn't going to get the aux to herself all the time. "So." She started, reducing the radio. "What makes you think that I am the right person to help you get back at Orion and what did he really do to you? Because why do I feel like you are hiding something and I am also just a prawn in your game." She asked everything in a single breathe. Kieran had even thought that she was going to faint from the way that it took her so long to stop talking. "What truly happened last summer?" Every single one of them had their eyes on her, even Kieran whose eyes should have been on the road. "What do you mean last summer?" Emrys asked again, his voice shaking at the nature of her question. From the back someone coughed, before a hand hit Kieran on the shoulder. "Drive and have your eyes on the road." It was Rowan. "And Zoey, I don't know what you had heard, but nothing had truly happened last summer. It was fun and blissful for all of us." He answered her. Her face in the mirror said otherwise, but no one was going to say anything about last summer to her, it was clear. "Do you like mousse?" Kieran questioned, trying to change the topic. "I guess. Not the best that I had tasted but they are okay." Zoey shrugged her shoulders. He took his hands off the steering wheel, rubbing it together to generate heat and he smirked. "Then be prepared to taste one of the best mousse in the town. You will love it and will always come back for more." He bragged. She chuckled, sinking into the seat. "I hope so too."

oey.The weekend passed like a blur, I had stayed up in my room, feeding on the snacks that I had gotten, no, Casper had gotten for me, as a bribe to make me attend their game.It was today, later in the evening. As much as I had wanted to decline going, I wanted to reclaim a narrative and the only way was going to the game. It meant a lot of things, meeting Orion because he had always made it a thing to attend their games. "Do you still care about him?" I questioned myself.I didn't, I haven't since the day we broke it off, the day I signed myself to the boys for whatever this game was. On the bed was a custom jersey of the Ridgeview Titans, which Casper had brought with him.It had theirs names on it. "A way to let everyone know that you belong to us and that will make Orion angry." He'd said.I had never worn a jersey with Orion's name when we were together, he had marked me already, there was no need for me to go to that extend. But today, I was going to do something that I had

Zoey.If there was ever a time I wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear forever, it was tonight. The second I stepped into that party, it felt like the walls closed in. Loud music vibrated through my bones, and bodies pressed everywhere, moving like one giant, sweaty wave. The smell of cheap beer and perfume punched me in the face the moment I walked in.Kieran greeted me first, grinning like he’d just won a bet. “Look at you, princess. Didn’t think you’d actually show up.”I forced a smile, smoothing my black mini dress down my thighs. “Yeah, well. Gotta commit to the act, right?”Rowan was next, tossing a red solo cup to me. “Fake girlfriend duties, huh? Drink up. You look like you need it.”I caught the cup but didn’t drink. My fingers shook too much to even bring it to my lips.Casper just watched from across the room, eyes narrowed like he was studying me for some pop quiz. Emrys offered me a soft nod, his curls bouncing slightly when he turned.Everyone stared at me as I hung
Zoey.I woke up to my phone buzzing like a damn alarm in my ear. My head felt heavy, like I hadn’t slept at all which was true. I had tossed and turned all night, thinking about that stupid photo over and over again.‘Play along or I will.’ Those words kept taunting me, almost driving me crazy. When I eventually fell asleep the whole hockey team visited me in my dreams. It was like I was being haunted.I groaned, when I heard another buzzing sound coming from my phone, rolling over I smacked my hand around until I found my phone on the floor. The bright screen nearly blinded me. It was a notification from our campus gossip feed.I couldn’t help but groan. Our campus feed was basically a digital jungle. People posted everything, from cheating scandals to fights behind the dining hall. Once, someone uploaded a video of a cheerleader hooking up with the chess club president in the library basement. Another time, there was a whole thread about a professor caught leaving a frat party at 3
Zoey.Kieran eyes were still on me. It was like he was in a staring contest. “You gonna stand there all day, or you going to come teach us, princess?”Rowan snickered, leaning back with his arms spread wide. “She looks like she might faint. You sure she’s not going to cry, Kieran?”I swallowed hard, my fingers curling into fists at my sides. Kieran leaned forward even more, his smirk widening. “Careful, sweetheart. We do bite.”The room felt like it was shrinking around me, the air was thick and it made me feel jittery. I really didn’t want to be here. These guys were bad. Everyone of them. It was like standing in the middle of a storm you knew would swallow you whole. The fact that I used to be close to be Orion’s girl, their biggest rival made things worse. I have also been in on some of Orion’s shenanigans which I was sure they didn’t like. I remembered one night so clearly it still made my stomach twist. Orion and his teammates had trashed Riverview’s lot after a heated game,
