JACK'S POV

The few guards that King Adolf gave me and I made our way to Manor to save my parents from the terror they've faced for so long. I couldn't wait any longer to liberate them.

Rogues stopped us on our way, and one thing that rogues liked was trouble, they mostly ribbed travelers, and beat some up, they were a complete nuisance. "Let us pass and no one will get hurt," I warned them. "Who do you think you are to threaten us?" One of them said and I assumed he was their leader, from the way he was confident in himself and with the others backing him up.

They were fifteen in number and we were right in total including myself. They brought out their swords and charged at us. Although they outnumbered us, we defeated them. I had the leader down with my sword close to his throat. "One move from you and I'll slit your throat open," I said to him as he made whimpering sounds like that of an injured puppy.
