VALERIA'S POV

The feast my father threw in my favor was indeed a big one. I wasn't in my happiest of moods but I had to pretend like I was fine.

We partied till late evening and I excused myself to my chambers as I got tired. I got off my heavy clothes and put on my night dress before going to sleep, I brought out my travel bag as I had forgotten earlier and I hid the potions Araida gave me somewhere safe and where they would not break into my chambers as she didn't specify when exactly I'll need to use them and also what they were used for.

I do wonder when they would come in handy but just to keep them safe for future purposes I had to be cautious.

Things in the palace had been pretty normal and nothing out of the ordinary had occurred, no attacks from Killian or Uncle Rufus. It was finally a break from all the drama in my life.

Jack was recovering speedily as the royal nurse was the one attending to him. Also, my foster mother's leg injury had completely healed.
