Brewster felt groggy for a moment. Was he having a dream?

What else could Ace be doing in his room?

However, the figure of the man before him was getting closer, and before he knew it, their breath met.

Brewster froze. "It's true..." He mumbled, unable to believe what was going on.

Ace had never met him at midnight before. Instead, he would connect with him and send him away before midnight as if he was too repulsed to wake up beside him.

So, what was happening?

Was it because they were living together now?

Brewster couldn't stop thinking about this even as Ace grabbed his waist, pulled him closer, and caught his lips in a hot, fiery kiss.

Brewster's hands stayed on Ace's chest. He wasn't pushing, but he was too confused to respond either.

Maybe he was thinking too much, but somehow, he felt displeased with Ace's intention.

'I had been in his house all day, but he refused to see me. Now that he needs something, he's here, without welcoming me and just wants to climb into my bed

  • ASHES OF INNOCENCE   CHAPTER 25: ACE'S FEAR

Brewster fell weakly in bed. His body ached so terribly that he didn't even want to move. He lay face flat on the bed, his lips quivering, and his eyes closed. The bed dipped, and he knew Ace was about to leave, but he couldn't do anything. His eyes refused to open either. "Goodnight." He heard the man say. "Hm," Brewster replied nasally, unable to look at the man. He listened patiently as the man opened the door and left his room. Only then did he breathe in relief and try to turn around to sleep on his side. The movement felt like he was tearing his waist apart, and he let out a cry. "He's too bad. Mr Ace is too terrible." He cursed under his breath. Who would have thought the man would engage him for hours without stopping? What was worse, he was the one riding all through, doing all the work while the man only enjoyed. Brewster wiped the sweat off his forehead. Despite the AC in the room, he still sweated. He bit his lower lip and silently opened his eyes. His eyes were

  • ASHES OF INNOCENCE   CHAPTER 23: REHEARSING

Brewster stirred. His lashes fluttered, and his eyes finally opened. "Brother Jimmy?" He called as his eyes fell on Jim. His voice was still soft with sleep, almost childlike. Jim dropped his phone and glanced at Brewster. "You're finally awake." He said calmly. Brewster nodded. He supported himself up from the bed and glanced around. "Did Ace show up?" Jim shook his head. "He didn't. But a maid showed up earlier and asked us to come for lunch." "Lunch?" Brewster asked in confusion. Had he slept for so long? He checked the watch on his wrist, and his lips twitched. He really slept for a long time. "How long had it been?" "Less than 30 minutes ago. Should we go now?" Jim asked. Brewster agreed. He was famished. He hadn't eaten since he woke up, and his stomach seemed to have been washed clean. Jim and Brewster left the room. A maid was already standing outside the door the moment they got out, and she led them downstairs where the dining was. Brewster looked forward to t

  • ASHES OF INNOCENCE   CHAPTER 22: THE ROOM

"Let's go in," Jim mumbled as they were led into the castle. The castle before them was grander than they could have ever imagined. It screamed money and luxury, perfectly compatible with the character of Ace in their memories. A life of power and status. Jim felt inferior. He looked toward the young man beside him. "Brewster, are you fine?" Instead, he wanted to ask if Brewster would like to return home. He wanted to hold the young man's hand and take him back home... but what could he do when Brewster was so stubborn?Even with the magnificent building before them, Brewster's expression still held seriousness, as if he didn't care. "I'm fine, brother Jimmy," Brewster replied with a smile. He clutched his phone so tight he feared it might break, but the smile on his face remained. He was nervous. How could he not be? He knew his life was about to change. He was about to step into a life he never thought he could ever belong in...Wealth? He had tasted it. He was born in it and

Brewster and Jim found that all the things they brought had been taken by the bodyguards. "Can we enter now?" Brewster asked the men timidly. The men nodded. None of them said a word, but they paved the way for the brothers. Brewster bowed slightly and flashed a smile. After which, he caught Jim's hand and led him in. Finally, he had been allowed to enter Ace's mansion. He had been curious about what the place someone as cold and detached as Ace would look like. Would it look like those apartments in fairy tales or like the ones he used to see in movies? Or maybe like his family's former mansion? But he hadn't been able to choose any of the houses he imagined because none of them seemed to fit Ace's style. His curiosity piqued as he was led through a vast garden, and then a car stopped before him. Jim was also confused. "Where are we going again?" He had to ask. Weren't they already standing before the mansion earlier? Not only did the bodyguards take them around the mansion, b

The car stopped in front of Ace's mansion, and several men surrounded Jim's car. Both Jim and Brewster were taken aback. Brewster's face even turned pale from fright as he watched the bulky men standing frigidly around their car. Jim formed a fist and cursed lowly. "Is Ace playing with us? What the hell is he doing?!" He felt like he was about to lose his mind. Brewster shook his head. "Ace doesn't know about this." He mumbled. There was no way Ace would make things difficult for him after telling him to come over. He had even sent a message to Ace before they got there!Jim glanced at Brewster through the corner of his eyes and sighed deeply. His heart ached. He couldn't help but wonder how Brewster would live with a dangerous snake like Ace. Would the young man survive?Jim felt lost. However, Brewster couldn't stop the trembling of his lips, but he firmly believed Ace wouldn't hurt him. So, his sweaty fingers reached the door, and he opened it without a word. Jim's eyes wide
