Chapter 4: Let's Go Together

The elevator door slowly opened, leading Laetus Allison directly to the door of Director Takeshi's room, and he walked over leisurely, gently knocking on the door of the room to meet him.

Takeshi inside was intently reading the report board of recent meetings, he was also drafting to prepare for the upcoming meeting, not raising his head to look but only raising his voice sarcastically.

 "Come on, come in."

Laetus outside the door just smiled slightly then without hesitation pushed the door in, cavalierly walked over to the row of reception sofas placed in the center of the study, gently crossed his legs, silently waiting for Takeshi to work.

Takeshi sitting across from him couldn't help but speak again.

"You walked in a thousand times, in and out like a meal and had to knock on the door waiting for me to let you in?"

Laetus looked at the screen of his phone, his eyes saw that the message from Keitha only said two words "it's coming", in his eyes he quickly texted back to her then turned to reply to Takeshi.

"Minimal courtesy, or else I'll snap you again."

Takeshi continued to quip.

"What politeness, you didn't respect anyone before you came into my room, just walked in as blatantly as your home. Why, please come down and be a manager so unusually obedient?"

Laetus was not afraid, and he replied with a loud mouth.

"It's just true to your rank, you're now the general manager of Tristar, and I'm just a lame employee, not doing that takes you to make me know no rules."

"Ha, you talk like you're wronged, so I'm unknowingly the bad guy in your story."

"You wouldn't dare let me be the villain in your story."

"If it was someone else, I'm not sure, but with your poison-mouthed nature, I'm not sure, maybe through your mouth I've become the evil, brutal final boss of your story."

"You're just exaggerating, maybe you're dead from the first second of the story, not the end of the story."

"This kid..."

Takeshi couldn't speak back to Laetus, he could only scold helplessly. Laetus sitting in front of him could see that his joke was a little too far, and he didn't make any more jokes and moved on to another topic.

"So... What's wrong with you calling me this time?"

Hearing Laetus' question, Takeshi also suddenly stopped his pen, he put down the pen in his hand, stood up, walked to the painting placed next to him, he gently lifted the painting aside, and behind that painting was a safe hidden behind.

Takeshi slowly entered the password, a few seconds later the safe door sounded a "edge", unlocking it was complete, he reached for the black file in it and held it out in front of Laetus. He glanced at it slightly, reaching out to grab the file. As soon as he opened the first page, Laetus furrowed his eyebrows, he looked up at Takeshi as if to implicitly gesture to him, Takeshi also nodded in confirmation.

"New soldiers?"

"As someone in the profession, it's better to be careful."

"Guess what he has planned this time?"

"It's no wonder, I'm waiting to see what he's going to do."

"Life seems so peaceful these days."

"yes, so a little more turbulence makes life interesting."

After exchanging a few sentences, Laetus closed the file in his hand, he stood up and headed towards the door, before leaving without forgetting to wave to Takeshi.

"See you later."

Takeshi caught a glimpse of the smile in Laetus' eyes, and he tilted his head, a sarcastic smile once again appearing on his somewhat aged face.

"Going out with your girlfriend?"

Laetus glanced at Takeshi, the smile in his eyes becoming even clearer.

"Not yet, but it will be by then."

Takeshi reached for the coffee mug on his desk.

"When will I meet that ill-fated girl?"

"Haven't you seen it every day?"

Laetus had just finished his sentence when the door also closed, Takeshi looked towards the door, in a look that had been through enough life, he also seemed to recognize Laetus' answer.

Laetus put the file away in his office and quickly walked down to the company's parking garage. Walking around in the basement for a long time but he still couldn't find his car, he clearly remembered that he had left it in his familiar place this morning, but now he was nowhere to be seen.

He was about to take out his phone to call Keitha when suddenly from behind him came the sound of a Lamborghini engine, he turned his head to look to see Keitha sitting in the driver's seat, slowly moving the car to his side.

Laetus tilted his head to ask Keitha.

"Looks like you can drive this by yourself."

Keitha also responded softly.

"This one of yours isn't bad to drive, it's a quiet engine."

Laetus struck around the front of the car, opened the door and sat in the passenger seat beside him.

"Technique isn't bad either, is it? Are there any scratches?"

Keitha also hit the steering wheel, driving out of the tunnel towards the main road, driving her as she asked Laetus in return, her voice somewhat sarcastic.

"If I scratch my car, do I need a temple?"

As she said she moved her car closer to the edge of the roadside fence, her eyes provocatively looking at Laetus. He also understood what she wanted, and he didn't want anything in return.

"Repair details are imported from overseas, if you can afford it, just do it."

"You said try a price for me, maybe I can weigh it up."

"It's about $7,000, it's not very expensive."

"The money you do is like paper."

"Well, you're just as strong-mouthed."

"You don't hesitate to take my money either."

"It's a good thing to do, you have the guts to damage my car and I have the guts to make you compensate. You're the one at the wheel now, anyway."

Keitha also fit the steering wheel, moving the car back into the correct lane.

"Do you need me to return the steering wheel to you?"

"No need, I'd rather have someone drive me like this."

Laetus replied as he reached forward, opened the locker in front of him, pulled out the personal tablet in it, and opened the message dialog to check if there was a meeting today.

Keitha sitting next to him also cleverly pulled the brake pedal to stop at a red light. The meeting had lasted almost two hours, so she wanted to eat something to fill her stomach.

Seeing Laetus focus on the tablet made Keitha wonder how to say it.

Laetus also sensed that Keitha wanted to say something, he still stared at the screen but still asked.

"What's wrong?"

Keitha being asked so suddenly was a little hesitant.

"Fennel... I want to ask if I don't know what you want to eat."

Laetus paused for a few seconds, he tilted his head to look at her, Keitha was also startled by the other person's actions, momentarily feeling tickled.

"What... What's wrong?"

Laetus didn't answer, he just looked at her for a few seconds, that cold look in his eyes made Keitha a little embarrassed, she reached out and adjusted her hair unconsciously, she wanted to make sure she looked neat, otherwise, she had to explain to the person next to her.

"Nothing. Watch out for vehicles."

Laetus looked at Keitha after a long pause, he didn't say anything, just stared at his tablet slightly, continuing his unfinished business. As for Keitha, when reminded by Laetus, she retracted his vision and drove seriously.
