Chapter 3: Internal Meetings

In the staff's internal meeting room, the atmosphere around them was very low, both Erika Doris and Soul Gwen were silent without saying anything, and Takeshi Allison gradually lost patience after waiting, the sudden arrival of the journalists earlier still made him angry. Obviously, this incident has brought a lot of trouble, the longer time passes, the worse things will be.

Takeshi raised his voice to break the quiet space, he needed answers as quickly as possible to solve the current problem.

"Now no one has an opinion on that incident? All four of you with only four pairs of faces looking at each other, you guys brainstorm to deal with this."

At this point Keitha Patric was also aware that she had forgotten something, she had not yet figured out what had happened. Knowing that her current actions may cause her to be scolded by Takeshi, she needs to understand what the incident Takeshi is talking about.

"Watch this."

Just as Keitha was about to ask everyone what had happened, Laetus gently pushed his own phone over to her, the news of Erika quickly caught her eye, just looking at the title of the post on her phone, she immediately knew what had happened. Keitha glanced at Laetus, he just smiled softly at her, she also nodded slightly thanking him.

Laetus watched Keitha nod his thanks, he also felt himself in a slightly better mood. But he quickly gathered the smile on his face, his face without any concessions, offering his opinion.

"In the short term, the activities of Erika and Soul are postponed, and the upcoming film projects may not need to appear. I will contact the director, the organizers of the projects you two are involved in this afternoon."

Takeshi Allison who heard Laetus say this also nodded in agreement, in the current rushed situation, he had no choice, Laetus' offer was not a bad idea. Takeshi took a breath, regained his majestic expression, and turned to ask Erika and Laetus' opinion.

"So how do you two feel? The choice to suspend operations of both, or operate in two locations far apart. Think quickly and give me your satisfactory answer."

Laetus after arguing for a while also leaned back in the back seat, closed his eyes to calm down, the loud argument earlier made his head a little dizzy, his stomach also began to hurt, it seemed that his stomach disease had recurred again.

At this moment Laetus suddenly turned to look at Keitha, this silent expression of hers made him unfamiliar, if it was normal she would stand up to protect Erika, or at least stop him, remind him of his outrageous actions just now. But this time Keitha chose to remain silent, and with Keitha's personality, Laetus insisted she would not let anyone intimidate her artist.

It wasn't until he saw on his phone screen that an image of Soul's new poster page for the upcoming action movie was being zoomed in at full length that he learned why she had been silent for so long, looking at her thoughtful expression,  He just tilted his head slightly, and in his mind he also secretly guessed, today's argument, who was the winner.

"Director, can you give me an opinion?"

They all looked at Keitha at the same time, she turned slightly to look at Laetus, saw that he was looking at her, there was a smile on his face, but she didn't care much, just gently handed the phone to Takeshi, on which was a poster of the male character played by Soul in the upcoming movie,  retrograde.

Takeshi also dimly guessed Keitha's intentions, but he said nothing in silence, waiting to see Keitha's opinion. Keitha took a deep breath now, trying to remain calm at what she herself was about to say, she stood up gently.

"Instead of doing it the way the director suggested, why don't we rely on the smuggled image as a stepping stone, through Erika being suspected of dating an unknown person, maybe they'll quickly guess some parts are Soul, too,  We can take advantage of the fact that people don't realize it, quickly release a new movie."

Laetus sitting next to him interjected.

"You mean to lead, to mislead the public?"

Keitha nodded in agreement, they both had the same thoughts.

"Now that both Erika and Soul are signed on for the new film, we can easily push back on rumors and mislead people into thinking that Erika is going back and forth with someone who is actually Soul coming to discuss the script for the upcoming film."

Takeshi thought silently for a long time, he looked at the picture of the character played by Soul for a long time. Then he turned to look at Laetus.

"How do you feel?"

Laetus raised an eyebrow at Takeshi, who smirked slightly, nodding his head to show his attitude to Keitha's opinion.

"No idea."

"So that's the decision, you two assign your own work, after everything is resolved peacefully, send the report back to me. And Erika and Soul, you two go back and write a review of your actions, especially Erika, write a little mind and limit your actions, now those journalists are all looking at you."

Takeshi didn't stay in the meeting office for long, he just reminded Erika of her actions in the near future, and after he was done he got up and walked to his office.

Erika, after seeing Takeshi leave, couldn't help but whine.

"That damn old man, always giving orders, thinks I'm cool."

Laetus sat across from her and watched Erika's annoyed expression and smirked.

"If it's not cool, how can he be your director."

"You shut up."

Keitha next to her reminded Laetus, she knew that if she didn't stop him, he and Erika would have an argument again, she turned to Soul and Erika.

"Soul, please get Erika home safely, for the time being you two should still go out or go together, wait until things calm down and then we'll carry out the same plan. Erika, you have a photo shoot with that studio tomorrow, try to rest well so you can start working tomorrow, now you have to speed up the plans of the movie."

Erika heard Keitha say that the mood was a little better, she also arranged and adjusted her outfit and walked towards the office door, before leaving she did not forget to hook Laetus again.

"At least Keitha isn't as evil as you."

Laetus wasn't angry, he just shrugged and spoke.

"It's too complimentary."

Soul, seeing Erika leave, quickly stood up and bowed to Keitha and Laetus. Keitha watched silently as Soul's shadow left.

"Soul seems much more obedient than you."

Laetus also stood up, and adjusted his costume, he reached for his phone then opened the phone screen to check on the situation, answering Keitha.

"Just a newbie, I haven't started training him yet."

Keitha also quickly packed up her things, she was a little hungry because she hadn't eaten anything for a long time, looking at the clock it was 6 o'clock, she thought she should go get something for breakfast too.

"Train to be a like you."

"It's not a mouthful, it's about defending yourself, words that have no value no one will let themselves in the eye."

"Sounds so philosophical."

Laetus also saw Keitha's tired look, he guessed that maybe she was a little hungry too, he himself felt the pain in his stomach coming, a sign that his body was too hungry.

"Let's go to breakfast?"

Laetus asked Keitha to come along, Keitha didn't think much of it, neither she nor he had eaten anyway, she nodded in agreement. Laetus saw Keitha nod, his mood lifting somewhat.

But as they walked to the office door, Laetus' phone suddenly rang, his face was a little unsightly, on the phone screen Takeshi's name kept flashing, he clicked his tongue because someone was bothering him.

Keitha standing beside him saw Laetus' annoyed expression and spoke up.

"Listen, or he'll call."

Laetus heard Keitha say this and was a little interested, he wasn't in the mood to listen to Takeshi's call.

"Why do you say that?"

Keitha didn't hide anything and honestly recounted being bothered early in the morning by Takeshi's call.

"I didn't press accept the call this morning and you know Takeshi called me seven times in a row, now I think if you don't answer him too, there will be more calls to bother you."

"Does he have that much free time?"

"Perhaps, it's all up to us anyway."

"I'd love to see what his face would look like if I didn't accept the call."

Laetus said as he shook the screen of his phone with a third call from Takeshi in front of Keitha, his face also filled with provocation. Keitha didn't stop either, she just gently reminded Laetus.

"If so, I guess the review paper is waiting for you in Takeshi's office."

"Sounds so scary."

Laetus was amused by Keitha's words, and he happily provoked back. It wasn't until Takeshi's fourth call came that he pressed accept the call.

"What's wrong?"

Takeshi on the other end of the line only answered one question correctly, then immediately turned off the phone.

"Come to my office right away."

Keitha at the side guessed that maybe Takeshi was angry.

"Sounds like he's upset, doesn't he?"

Laetus shrugged.

"Shelf, maybe you should be menopausal."

Laetus looked at his watch, he didn't want to delay and turned to Keitha.

"If you're hungry, you can go eat first, I'll probably invite you to another day."

But in response to Laetus' words was Keitha's idle smile.

"Well, it's rare for you to invite me to a meal, I guess it's not going to be easy for me to miss that."

Laetus also guessed what Keitha was trying to say, and he didn't refuse.

"If you can wait, I'll take you out to eat after I'm done, I'll know a restaurant that suits your taste."

"It's an honor for me to have you lead me to that diner."

The two walked and talked, until they reached the elevator entrance, since Laetus needed to go to see Takeshi, the two decided to split up to go two different ways, before leaving Laetus did not forget to give Keitha his car keys.

"Mind you going down to the basement to get my car, my ride will be faster, I'll tell you an hour after I'm done."

Holding Laetus' car keys in his hand, Keitha quipped.

"You seem to underestimate my car, don't you?"

Laetus just smiled back.

"It's just convenient to take you, you both go back to work anyway so it's convenient to go together."

Laetus had just finished speaking when the elevator doors opened, and before entering he did not forget to say goodbye.

"See you soon."

After a long time, the elevator on Keitha's side also arrived, she stepped inside, reached out and pressed the button to go to the basement, stood in the elevator, and looked at the keys to Laetus' Lamborghini, she couldn't help but scold.

"Bragging shit."
