The next day, I tried my best to hurry Micah up with his presentation, I could not allow him to be broken down or worse see me break down. I put a bold look on my face and began to move towards making sure that my son was okay.

He ate his breakfast of bacon and eggs almost in one gulp and I had the chef make something nice for him to pick to school for lunch. Like Jules, my chef had come with me when I told her I was relocating back home. She mentioned that she loved cooking for young Micah and she always wanted to do just that.

When Micah had finished eating, his bodyguard came to the palour.

"Good morning ma," he greeted extremely politely before nodding his head in my direction. I turned my head slightly to him and smiled at him in response. I didnt need to do more than that and I was sure that he already knew all of that, if not more.

"Okay, darling, go upstairs and get your school bag so you can start heading to school," I mentioned to him as I stood to the left and smiled at

She didnt say a word and the silence was killing me. I didnt let go of her though, holding her like that by the waist just felt so perfect. It felt like all the pain I felt had been washed away and I felt so safe in her hands. I was sjre she felt the same way but she just didnt know how to express it or say it out. I was prepared to help her voice out her true feelings. I was not going to allow her to be deterred from speaking her truth. But just as she opened her mouth ready to talk, we all heard a high pitched and extremely desperate voice chim in. “Liam, stop! You don’t belong here. You don’t belong with her.”I knew exactly whom that voice belonged to and I belived I hated her a little bit more than that. I didnt need to turn around to know that somehow that parasite had found me. If I was to guess, i would even say that she followed me around like a lost puppy. I held Amara tighter when I heard her voice, Amara would want to dash away and not be caught in the middle of all the

She was trying her best to avoid anything that felt like eye contact from me. I could tell in her eyes that she was not only sad and hurt, she was also confused. She didnt know what to do, she didnt know if she should go with me or not. I know the noble thing to have done would have probably been to allow her make her own decisions by herself but I wasnt going to do down that road. I was going to make sure I influenced every single one of her decision till she finally came back to me. She didnt make it to the fridge before Steve held her hand in a tight grip and pulled her close to himself. "What the hell are you doing? You know for a fact that we cant keep this madness going on, you have to put a stop to this madness and the very best way for you to do that is for you to not give in to the desire to take care of him when he is hurt"."Well then I guess I have you to blame for this madness then, cause if you had not made it clear to me that you are going to kill him in my house mayb

"You have no idea who I am right? I could destroy you completely if I have to. Hell, I could even make sure that I change that handsome face of yours." "Will you look at that Amara, even your boyfriend knows that my face is handsome and wont stop complimenting it. Wonder why you are so blind to the truth then," I said jokingly as I stared at the both of them with clasped hands. I could feel the terrible feeling in my gut and all I wanted to do was scream and ask this lady to come back to her senses but I guess this was a necessary evil. After all, I had left her alone for five years, she did need someone that would keep her bed warm and if she chose some sort of disgusting bodyguard to do the work, I wont object. But I was going to make sure that he didnt stay in her life for long. I was going to do everything in my power to make sure that this man left so fast, he wont even be able to know what hit him. "I dont know if you are some big shot CEO, I will disembody you if you try an

  • The Forgotten Bride   CHAPTER SIXTY SIX

I didnt know whom the voice belonged to but I could clearly hear that it was a male voice and just the idea that another man was in the same room as the woman who had given birth to my son and not only that, this woman said nothing of another man being in the room with her. These situations did not sit well with me and everything that they said only made me more angry. I didnt even look at the man that was standing in front of me, immediately my eyes just went straight to the woman that was standing in front of me and i looked at her in disbelief. I didnt care about anything these people were about to say to me. All i wanted to know why these people were standing right next to me and locking hands. Why did this woman stand so close to him and with a smile on her face? My heart raced with jealously, nothing that she had said made sense anymore. All I wanted to do at that point was to peel his hands from her and make him stand by herself. I also did not even like the fact that this m

"What is this?" I said, holding her hand agaisnt my chest while I allowed the paper to stay stucked to my chest. "If you think I am going to answer that question, then you must not know a damn thing about me. If you want to find out what that is, I suggest you read the paper by yourself instead of asking me some stupid questions," she said before she dragged her hands away from me. Before the paper could fall, I snatched it and immediately opened it up. From the feel of it, I just need that whatever was in there was definitely going to break me more than I ever thought anything could. Taking a deep breathe, I opened the document and my eye went through it like a laser, I scanned every single word on the document and my knees nearly buckled. On the paper, I saw my name and her name, a date and three signatures. Boldly written on top were words "Marriage Certificate." The information came like a shock to my bones and weakened them“What…” My voice barely worked. “What the hell is

That slap was probably what I needed to correct my head, it was exactly what I needed to finally get the anger away from my eyes and see just how much I was hurting this woman. I had never seen her so broken like that before. I remembered almost everything about us and I still could not remember ever seeing her like that. I felt like the most terrible person on planet Earth at that moment. It didnt make any sense to me how I was in love with this woman but yet I kept hurting her, how was I in love with her but I was also the person that brought the most pain a distress to her every single time that we spoke?I looked at her, trying my best to not make the anger to fully show, but deep down I knew that the sound of that slap had echoed like a gunshot. I knew that if the neighbours were awake, it would have definitely prompted one of them to call 911. I wanted to react, cause oh there was a lot to say but I also knew that I could not do any of that, so I stood frozen, jaw tilted and c
