I woke up before the alarm again. The sky outside was still dark, and the world was quiet in that fragile moment before morning fully arrived. For a few seconds, I just lay there, staring at the ceiling and listening to the soft, steady breathing beside me. Baby Shen was curled into his blanket with one tiny hand tucked near his face; he was peaceful, safe, and mine. My chest tightened. "Big day today," I whispered.
