I spend most of the evening in the shower, crying until no tears are left to cry. I feel as dirty as I did the night before the ceremony. 

As the memories run through my mind, I wonder, what if Kane was the one who saved me? But even if he was, after everything that's happened, why did he lock me in a cage he calls home?

I turn off the water, push the shower curtain aside, and step out of the bathtub. 

I don't know what to feel or think when Kane comes back.

I wrap a towel around my body and leave the bathroom. I wait a moment to check if there are no noises and I'm still alone. Only when I'm sure Kane's not home yet do I go to his closet.&
