(Lucy’s POV)

"Raymond," I whispered softly, my voice low and full of longing.

A smile spread across my face as my fingers brushed gently over the phone screen. I was staring at a picture of Raymond Salvador... my one and only love. I had loved him for as long as I could remember, but he never looked at me the same way.

I still remembered the first time I confessed my love to him, back when he was in college and I was still in high school. He rejected me right there, without even thinking twice.

“We can’t be together, Lucy. I only see you as my younger sister,” he had said firmly.

“But I’m not your sister, Ray!” I had cried out, my heart breaking into pieces.

“But you’re Mason’s sister, and he’s my good friend,” he said before walking away, leaving me standing there like I meant nothing to him.

My heart shattered that day, but I didn’t give up. I kept chasing him, but he kept rejecting me until he finally married that sick girlfriend of his.
