Chapter 22.

Mia POV.

Fen and Theo took me back to my little apartment when I was discharged. The doctor told me I needed to eat more and rest as often as I could. Both I can do easily, so there was no problem with doing either of those things.

When we left the hospital, Fen, and Theo drove towards my apartment. I glanced out of the window and Fen tightened his hold on my hand, pulling my attention to him.

“Don’t worry, he won’t hurt you again. We won’t allow him to get close to you. We will protect you.” I sigh and nod my head at his words.

Driving past the diner, I see Gina through the window. “Theo, pull over, please. I need to speak to her.” He nods and turns the car into the little parking lot out in front of the diner.

Opening the door, I go to step out when Theo takes my hand to help me stand; I thank him and look at the diner. Fen comes to stand at my other side and I shake my head in amusement. I must look like a V.I.P with two huge men on either side of me, walking me into a small town d
