Leif got Davina to head back to the house, she reluctantly held his hand as he led the way.

She kept looking back, tears rolling down her face, as she wanted to run back to her father, hold him, heal him like last time, anything to bring her daddy back to her.

However, she forced herself to keep taking step after step as Leif pulled her along.

Eventually he stopped, when he did she bumped into him, his arms wrapping around her as he pulled her into himself to comfort her.

She looked up at him, his eyes filled with so much sorrow for his little one, he knelt his head down to kiss her forehead before looking at her again.

"I'm so sorry my little one, I wish I could take all this pain away from you."

His eyes flickering between him and his wolf as she stared into them without blinking. They stayed that way for a minute or so until she finally slowly closed her eyes, a tear rolling down and she took a deep breath, Leifs hand cupping her face as she leaned into his touch, his thumb gently
