Ethan tugged on my arm as I was on my way out that morning.

“Where to?” he asked.

“Just heading out to join the morning sparring session,” I said with a shrug, making my way down the stairs.

“It’s not for another hour. Dawn’s just breaking.”

“I like to get an early start.”

“Oh? Are you sure it has nothing to do with the crown prince waiting for you in the courtyard, Adele?”

Ethan's question stopped me dead in my tracks. Busted. He descended the stairs, grabbed my arms and turned me toward him.

“I thought we agreed that you wouldn’t be seeing him anymore.” Ethan sighed.

“He’s leaving in three days, Ethan. He doesn’t even know who I am. It’s harmless.”

“The hell it is. I’ve been watching you with him. You guys are all over each other and don’t think I haven’t seen the way you’ve been looking at him either. You like the douchebag. He’s just play

  • The Girl Who Loved Two Princes: The Her Before You    When I'm not me 1

2020, July 20th(Location Undisclosed)It was time to leave. No matter where they went, she just couldn't shake the feeling that they had a tail. Keira hadn't actually laid eyes on their pursuer yet, but she had a sneaking suspicion about who it was. If she was right, him being seen with her was dangerous for him. Who was she kidding? Being with her had always been dangerous for him. That's why it was only supposed to be one night. Aaron just held her so well though. Did everything so exactly right. He was a quick study. By the end of their first time, he already knew every single little place she liked being touched, had already mapped out her body. By the end of the first week she was completely hooked on him and all the different ways he gave it to her. It was the simple things that really got Keira going though. Like the way he'd shoved her up against a wall the moment they walked through the door. They'd spent the night partying h

Aaron always felt a little guilty about their drunken little slips. He watched her cheeks take on a light blush, saw her eyes take on a guilty look and he laughed again as he poured the wine. It seemed he wasn't the only one after all. Bloody hell, she knew about that too. What the hell had they been waiting for all these years? "No more pretending," she said, raising her glass to his. "No more stolen moments. Take as much as you want to Aaron Condor." After sitting down to dinner, the wine flowed readily. Emily wasn't exactly a lightweight, but they both knew she would get drunk long before he could even be said to be tipsy. She just kept throwing back the glasses anyway. Letting herself get more and more comfortable in his arms, with his lips and hands on her as time went on until they were full on making out. "You're done," he said, taking the glass out of her hand as she got on top of him and started clumsily undoing the buttons of his shirt.

"We're not friendly, we're not anything!" Emily snapped. "Then how did his button get stuck under your table, Em?" Aaron countered. They fought a lot over the last few months, but not about another guy. He had half a mind to tell her it was over, that they were over. Aaron just couldn't deal with another guy. Not again, not with her. Emily wasn't the only one that did stupid shit when she was jealous. She hadn't seen jealousy in Aaron Condor's eyes in years. Not jealousy over her anyway. It was almost enough to make her glad to see the Dormers. She turned and looked at Nathan's cocky, self assured grin. Almost, but not quite. "It's complicated," Emily answered. "What she means is while you were doing my sister for six months, we were… getting acquainted," Nathan amended, winking at Emily. "She's seat number 12?" Keira asked, walking away from the Purple Guard soldiers as they led Kate away. "She sure is," Nathan a

2021, February 14th(Maine, Terres Somnia)“Right. Evil twin sister. Got it,” said a disgruntled Aaron. "Guilty,” said Kate, raising a hand, before returning it to her gun. Kate took in the dinner for two and grimaced. “I guess he really isn’t yours anymore, Queen of Assassins. She's definitely still yours though, sweet prince."Aaron put an arm out in front of Emily protectively while his eyes went to Keira. Yup, they definitely weren't ready. He wasn't ready. Even with the gun in Keira's hand, Aaron couldn't keep it straight about who he was supposed to be protecting. Emily brought his arm right back down to go and stand next to him. "Still?!" Emily asked. "You and her?! She almost killed you!" "I know, right? Hard not to be a peeping tom with these two. The almost killed him thing made the sex so much hotter," said Kate. “I have no illusions about the six months you were away, but for

Keira grinned at his matter of fact tone. Men didn't speak to her that way. No one did. Most people made a fuss about her stabbing random creeps who failed to recognize her as more than just a hot piece of ass. He was completely unfazed. Only cared about getting her to Imperium. It was almost too easy these days. Rarely did someone risk life and limb owing to not recognizing her as the deadliest killer in the room. She almost never had to get her hands dirty anymore and here he was, spoiling her fun. Keira didn't know who amused her more: Aaron, with his in charge, all business demeanor or her for liking it. When he took her hand, dragging her along, she let him, subtly steering him away from the lights and into one of the back rooms, where the really shady deals went down."You must be out of your mind," he said, when she turned around and pulled the zipper of her dress down. He certainly knew he was out of his as he watched the dress pool aro

It didn't last, of course. If there was one thing Aaron could always do, it was make them scream. Make their eyes light up. He picked her up and laid her out on the table before them, bumping the champagne bottle and the glasses off the table in the process. "Pardon the intrusion, Your Highness," the waiter said nervously from the other side of the partition, having returned at the sound of breaking glass. "Fuck off!" Aaron cursed impatiently. Keira laughed a little, a killer smile left behind when it died down. True to her noble upbringing, Keira didn't do shit like this. As he stood towering over her spread legs, ready to keep pleasuring her despite the murmurs and whispers that came from the other side, she had no idea why that was. Her eyes didn't warm to his touch as he slammed back into her, holding her in place as he did. Light, almost inaudible breaths were all that came out of her. She didn't moan his name or give him any of the usual
