Come on Tala! We all want Vargr to die!! Thank you for reading,
KELLEN More of Vargr’s army had turned up and we were now engaged in a full-on battle. Metal clanked, and growls were heard as some of the opposition began to shift, their wolves attacking my Gladiators who could not shift. “We’re outnumbered!” I heard Jasper call to me from my left. I cut down a soldier his body dropping like a heap of rocks and darted my eyes around the arena. He was right, we were outnumbered. I smirked because even though it looked like we were at a disadvantage, I knew we could win this. “Maybe, but his army doesn’t have the skill my elites have.” I looked to Rogue who was on my right, fighting beside me. “Rogue, keep the Gladiators fighting with the non-shifted,” I yelled to him while plunging my sword into another soldier's chest, knowing that the Gladiator's chips were still active and they couldn’t shift or else they would die. “Hunji!” I called to the man in red, who was taking down man after man and dropping wolves like they were vermin. “Show these sol
Day 23 of the games (early morning after the battle) KELLEN Rogue handed me my sword. I turned it in my palm a few times, debating whether to just end Oliver or start cutting little pieces off him, I still hadn’t made up my mind when my little flame came running towards us, now wearing a light pink dress “Kellen stop! No, please! Don’t kill him!” She cried out stepping between me and the soon-to-be dead shifter. Protecting Oliver. I ground my teeth together, not wanting to argue with her, but she didn’t understand. Like a slithering snake, the jealousy of her choosing another man over me crawled over my skin, because that’s what it felt like, what made it worse was that it was fucking Oliver! The man I dreamt of killing for three fucking years. The sly fucker that always got away. “Listen red, he is the most wanted man by four kingdoms in the first continent, after Orion and his bitch Shayna.” Tobias retorted behind Tala, his hand securely gripping Oliver’s neck. I rolled my eyes
What would have been: Day 23 of the Games still TALA Kellen was angry. I could feel it and I knew some of that anger had been directed at me when I defended Oliver. His jealousy crept off of him, you could almost see it, like dark tendrils of shadows reaching out to me and twisting across my flesh. How dark his aura was, was frightening, words were unfit for the Wolf King's thoughts. Kellen stared down his men then landed his frightening eyes on Oliver. Obsidian black eyes, the only white showing was the white mark of the Knight, bright against where his pupil would sit - If you could see them. It was an eerie sight to see and feel. I could almost taste his strength and see how hard he was trying to rein his wolf in. His wolf was magnificent. There was a painting in my mother’s room that depicted a Goddess walking with her wolf, Kellen’s wolf was the spitting image of the one I grew up seeing every day. The look of primal carnage on his face and those vines of jealousy wrapping tigh
What would have been day 24 of the Games KELLEN “The witch is called Morgan. She is Orion’s daughter, Finnegan’s sister. Supposedly she has been locked up since she was fifteen years old when her gifts became known.” Hunji began explaining what he knew. Mike and Tobias did not seem surprised, though I was sure they were privy to this information. Of course, I had been enslaved here so everything he was saying was new to me. “I had no idea Finnegan was still alive.” I scowled “I would have thought Mathias had executed him.” I was a little baffled that he had been allowed to live, after all, he was not just Orion’s son but I thought he was his accomplice. His actions at the battle of Riocht were unexpected and Lamia had protected him from being killed right there and then but I was sure once he had given them information, surely the King of shifters would not let him live. “No, your highness, it seems he was in as much of a mess as you were. Xander and Damon were able to remove his c
2 days later (Day 26 of the Games) MIKE Tala was sweet and funny, she genuinely laughed at my jokes and was eager to hear stories about Kellen and I growing up, the closer we got to the port, the more I worried about Jonda’s reaction. What would she think of Tala when they met and she found out that they were half-sisters? That her long-lost father who she had never met did indeed have another child. We were able to bring back Teal’s body under Kellen’s orders, he wanted Teal to be returned back home. Albeit, this was not the way Kellen had hoped to reunite him with his family. Luckily we were able to preserve his corpse and find a box that would keep his body cool on the journey. Rogue decided to ride with Tobias to help keep an eye on Oliver as well as escort Teal’s body. I felt a little bad for Tobias, traveling with the criminal and a wolf with no voice. At least he had two other warriors riding with him whose ears he could talk off. I used the satellite phone to let Jonda know
4 days later (Day 28 of the Games) MIKE We stepped off the boat, Alpha John was there to greet us upon arrival and immediately he came to us first acknowledging the King “Welcome back your highness, it is a pleasure to finally you meet you,” He offered his hand to Kellen to who took it enthusiastically. “It is good to be back in the kingdom Alpha John, I have heard many great things about you, and thank you for not only your hospitality to my warriors but also for your help in bringing me home.” Tala stood by his side looking down at the ground, her hands fidgeting until Kellen spoke her name. “This is my mate Tala, although I was enslaved for a while the moon goddess blessed me with finding my fated.” He said pulling Tala close to him. “A pleasure to make your acquaintance future queen, I am sure…” Alpha John's words died on his lips as Tala lifted her head to greet him. He looked at his sister, he and Jonda sharing a look and mind-link. When he finally turned his attention back t
TALA We arrived at a port on the mainland a day and a half later, both Tobias and Fergus (I refused to call him Rogue) were more than happy to be on dry land again, and much to my amusement, they both bent down and kissed the ground. “It wasn’t that bad.” I laughed at them “You just need to find your sea legs” “Easy for you to say princess, you were born with sea legs. It's in your blood” Tobias pointed at me giving me a non-amused glare. “I was born in a desert Tobias, no matter who my father was. I had never even seen a body of water, especially the ocean since I left Bhakhil. Just because my real father was a Sea Dog, it doesn’t mean anything.” “It means everything. I personally am a mountain bear. I prefer the cold weather and the streams full of fish, not on a vessel in the middle of nowhere floating for the sharks to come eat.” I rolled my eyes at Tobias “Stop being a big baby,” I jested to the overly large bear shifter who was friendly, and most of the time, when he wasn’t
KELLEN We were all currently gathered in the Beta’s suite that was on the opposite end of the hall to the Delta’s suite where Lamia had been in labor for several hours now and our women, along with several pack doctors, had been coming in and out there gathering all the necessities to deliver the triplets. They were concerned about the third baby, it was so tiny, and the doctors worried about the child being underdeveloped and not making it. They wanted to take her to the pack infirmary, yet moving her could endanger the smallest child, or worse rupture something in Lamia. So she would be giving birth here. I, like the other men who gathered in the Beta suite, for some reason thought this would be quick. We were all concerned for Lamia, but it gave us all a chance to talk and catch up, keeping the business conversation light and focusing on the more meaningful conversations, yet subjects will come up and I couldn’t ignore my duty for long. By tomorrow I would be back to being a King
