Aria's POV

Mondays... Urgh!

As soon as the bell rings for break, Lily and I walk down the hallway together. She's chatting away about how she's going to accidentally run into Mr. Miller so she can ask him for extra credit.

Mr. Miller is the new Biology teacher. And Lily doesn't want extra credit. I smirk as I shove my books into my locker. "Extra credit or an excuse to flirt with him?"

Lily grins. "Both. Obviously. Don't wait up... I'll just be a few minutes."

I nod, then adjust the strap of my bag. The moment Lily leaves, a weird ripple moves through the packed hallway. People are pointing at me. They are also whispering. Some are snickering.

My brows furrow. What's going on? Did I spill something on myself? Two sophomores walk by, and one of them straight-up laughs in my face before scurrying off.

I take one more book out from my locker, then shake my head and shove it back in. I'm embarrassed, clearly. But I'll just wait for Lily and she'll explain. She always does.

"Aria!"

Aria's POVWould my mum approve of what I was gonna do? I didn't know. But it sounded right to me. I was only going to surprise my boyfriend at his game, which was out of town, and have sex with him at the end of the game. And Lily was going to ask Aiden out for real. She'd bought cookies from the store and put them into an air-tight container so she would tell Aiden that she made them for him.I was particularly nervous. I mean, the bus was almost there and the girls were so excited and stuff.I didn't know what to feel. I was deliberately going to lose my virginity tonight. "You look like you're scared." Lily held my wrist. "Aria, are you okay?" "Yeah. I'm fine. I'm very fine." I lied, sucking in a breath and leaning my head against the headrest. When Lily gave me a look that told me she knew I was lying, I covered my face with my hands. "I didn't tell him that I was coming," I murmured."Because it's a surprise. Duh!""But... what if he...""Ari, we've put a lot of preparation in

Aria's POVJenna [Lily's mum] jumped up from the bed. "Lily!!!" She yelled again, as she left the room.I blinked a few times, then followed her because honestly, I wanted to see how this was going to end.By the time we got downstairs, smoke was already starting to curl from the oven, and Lily was frantically waving a dish towel in front of it."Mum. It's fine. It's under control." Lily coughed, with her eyes wide as she tried to open the oven door without getting her face hit by the hot air."Under control? It smells like you're cremating something in there. You didn't tell me anything about baking!"I couldn't help but clamp a hand over my mouth to stop myself from laughing. Lily glared at me."What were you even making again?" I asked, stepping closer."Cookies," she muttered, waving more smoke away. Her mum grabbed the oven mitts and pulled the tray out herself. The cookies... if you could even call them that... we're pitch black. Not dark brown. Black."Oh my God," Her mum glare

  • The Goalie's Tutor   Chapter Sixty Seven

Aria's POVThis morning, after he forced me out of bed, I watched my brother get ready to go back to his university with a pout on my lips. Drew glanced up at me, raising a brow and probably wondering why I was sulking. "I'm not staying over there. I'm just gonna be gone for a few months." He eventually said, walking to where I stood."I'm not going to miss you at all," I said, making him smile. "Yeah, and yet I haven't even gone and you're sulking already.""I'm gonna be alone with Dad. Drew, think about it. How do I survive? It's gonna be torture." I finally admitted. "Dad is the last person any teenager wants to live with." "I understand..." Drew started but I shook my head."No, you do not. You are going to school and I'll be the one making him meals, listening to his many talks and putting up with his too many stupid non-followable rules and..." I paused to catch my breath and Drew held my hands."You're gonna be fine, okay?"I nodded."And he's our father. I think that we sh

Aria's POVI think Lily and I froze instantly. And I didn't know about Lily, but my heart did stop, and my stomach dropped. The voice came from behind us... and it wasn't just anyone's voice.Elisa stood by the foot of the stairs, her eyes were wide, and a half-eaten chip was in her hand. "Wait," she said. "Who's having sex?"I exchanged a quick glance with Lily, who looked equally caught off guard. How much had she overheard?"Uh... no one?" I stammered. "We were just... talking about... um... hypothetical situations." Oh dear Lord. I sounded stupid. And like a liar. Which I was, technically.Elisa raised a brow and I could tell she was clearly not buying it. "Hypothetical situations, huh? So, hypothetically, who's having sex? You or Lily?""Oh my God, Elisa how could you even think it's me? Hypothetically, it's Aria. But don't worry, it's all hypothetical... for now." Lily explained calmly.Elisa dropped the chip in her hand onto the floor, rushing over to sit beside me on the couch

Aria's POVI didn't realise we were already at Lily's. Her door was slightly ajar as she poked her head out while planting a weird wide smile on her face."Is this Matt's sister?" She glanced at me, then at Elisa who was now surprisingly quiet."Yeah, she's the one. Her name is Elisa. Elisa, meet Lily." I introduced and Lily stuck her hand out for a handshake. Elisa glanced at me, and when she made to take her hand, Lily pulled her in and hugged her.I laughed, and so did Elisa. "The handshake is pretty formal considering we stay next door and you are about my height. And you like a boy and you're not even sure that he likes you back... we do have a lot in common already." Lily grinned after the hug."You like someone?" Elisa asked as I entered and shut the door behind me."Sure. His name is Aiden, and he's pretty cute, and I don't know if he likes me back." Lily chuckled as she led us up the stairs to her room. "Well, have you talked to him?" Elisa probed.Lily's lips twitched. "Yo

  • The Goalie's Tutor   Chapter Sixty Four

Aria's POV"No you do not.""Yes, I do. Happened to be at the library today and you two weren't very subtle in your actions and conversations."My cheeks reddened as I remembered what we'd done. The kiss... Who else saw us?"You saw all that?" "Yeah, I did. I'm not gonna tell anyone though."I released a breath I didn't even know I was holding since Matt had said that he knew about my relationship with Jason."You'd do that?" I asked then I sighed. "What's the catch?" Because I couldn't believe that there was no catch. If he knew about us, and he was ready to keep it a secret, he wanted something in return."There is no catch. I just want you not to hate me and talk to my sister. She appears happy on the outside but I see her cry in her room whenever it's late. She and my mum used to have these late-night conversations, and I'm so sure she misses that. I would do them for her if I even knew what they talked about. I never did join." "I'm staying at Lily's tonight. Do you think she c
