CHAPTER 95

Thomas Jamison stared through the glass doors outside the ICU on the VIP Floor Level of The Southshore Hospital where his employer is currently sitting on one side of the room with his head resting on the bed, his arms wrapped around it.

It’s already early in the evening, five hours since Maya was brought to the hospital. Due to the number of times that she seized, she was brought to the Operating Room where the surgeon had to perform a Cardiopulmonary bypass.

The procedure took a while since every ten minutes a direct cardiac electrical defibrillation was undertaken until the surgeon was finally contented with the results.

Thomas remembered closing his eyes in thanks, praying silently and fervently that Maya was able to survive the surgery. All throughout the procedure, Grayson had never left his spot, standing by the double-swing doors, keeping his vigil.
