Chapter 210

Author: Glazed Snow
"After Mrs. Hawk entered the hospital room, I followed your instructions and found you a virgin."

That virgin was Luna.

Stanley's expression remained unchanged, his face an unreadable mask. "I understand."

He walked into the bathroom and turned on the cold shower.

The icy water cascaded down from his head, and he closed his eyes, letting it wash over him.

His body was marked with several scratches, and there was a deep bite mark on his shoulder. He had thought those were from Wendy, but now he realized they weren't.

It had all been just a dream.

But she never came.

Instead, he had ended up with her classmate.

Stanley scrubbed his skin hard, trying to erase the marks, as if washing them away would cleanse him.

Sierra was doing it on purpose. No matter how many times she strolled past Shaun, he treated her as if she were invisible. She figured she would just have to create an "accident" so they would brush up against each other. With her sweet, innocent-looking face and a body that she knew turned heads, she refused to believe Shaun could resist her. After all, she'd had Gilbert wrapped around her finger back in the day.Sierra let out a soft yelp and threw herself into a dramatic fall, already picturing Shaun's strong arms catching her.But the longer she waited, the harder that sinking feeling got—because he wasn't reaching for her. Her little stunt ended with a sharp scream. She hit the ground hard, falling flat on her face.Sierra just lay there for a second, mortified. Her whole body felt as if it had come apart at the seams. Damn. That hurt!Right then, the dressing room door swung open, and Halsey stepped out, smiling. "All done!"Shaun immediately walked over, slipped his

Sierra didn't give up. She could feel Shaun's cool distance, but she had confidence in herself. She put on a soft, helpless expression in an attempt to trigger his protective instincts. "Do you hate me? Do you think I'm bothering you and Halsey?"Shaun still didn't say a word.Sierra pouted, pretending to be upset. "I'm sorry. I didn't bring my keys, so I can't get home. Halsey's my friend, and she was kind enough to let me come along. But if you don't want me here, I'll leave right now."She thought for sure that Shaun would finally speak to her now.To her dismay, he didn't. His face stayed calm and unreadable. He treated her like she wasn't even there.Sierra's cheeks flushed with awkwardness. "I—"At that moment, the fitting room door opened, and the shop manager's voice rang out. "Mr. Lane, Mrs. Lane is out!"Hearing Halsey, Shaun immediately set his magazine down and stood up.Halsey stepped out.She wore a white wedding gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline that perfe

Sierra looked a little embarrassed as she replied to Halsey, "I was just about to head home, but I don't have money for a cab. I was thinking about finding a shared bike."She glanced around. "But there aren't any shared bikes around, so I was about to look for one."Halsey smiled. "Don't worry about finding a bike. Where are you heading? We'll give you a ride."Sierra's eyes lit up, though she hesitated. "Are you sure? I don't wanna waste your time."Halsey shook her head. "No problem. Get in."Halsey opened the back door.Sierra didn't refuse this time. She looked at Shaun and smiled brightly. "Thank you, Mr. Lane."She slid into the back seat.Shaun glanced at Halsey. "You too, get in."Halsey climbed into the passenger seat. Shaun settled into the driver's seat and pressed the accelerator, then the luxury car glided smoothly onto the street.Halsey turned her head. "Where do you live?"Sierra sighed. "My dad's not home, and I didn't bring the keys, so I can't get in. If

Halsey held her pen, sketching designs on paper. She looked up at Zada and nodded. "See you tomorrow."Zada waved and left.Ding!Halsey's phone buzzed—it was a WhatsApp message. She opened it. It was a text from Shaun. [Hey, honey. Class over yet?]Last night she had said yes to his proposal, and now he was already calling her "honey". Halsey's heart warmed. She typed back a reply. [Just finished, honey!]Shaun's reply was instant. [Then come out now. I'm already outside the gate.]Halsey's delicate lashes fluttered. [You came to pick me up?]Shaun, ever confident, answered, [I'm taking you to try on wedding dresses!]Halsey's lips curved into a small smile. [Okay, I'm coming now.][I'll be waiting!]She put away her pencil, stepped out of the classroom, and walked toward the gate.Soon, she spotted Shaun's luxury car parked across the street. Last night, she had told him to park there instead of right in front of the school—it would've been too flashy. Shaun had done a

Sierra quickly wiped away her sad, insecure expression and replaced it with a bright, dazzling smile. "Halsey, you're so nice!"She reached out and took Halsey's hand. "From now on, we're gonna be good friends!"Zada added her hand on top of theirs. "The three of us should hang out together from now on."Halsey nodded. "Okay."Just then, a tall, calm figure walked in—it was Calvin. He looked at Halsey. "Hey, Halsey."Halsey smiled. "Hello, Professor Johnson."Calvin returned her smile. "This is your second day in class, right? Are you settling in okay?"Halsey nodded. "I'm doing really well. Thanks for asking, Professor Johnson."Zada whispered excitedly to Halsey, "Wow, you're good friends with Professor Johnson?"Halsey didn't want to cause any awkwardness, but Calvin's easy smile and straightforward tone put her at ease. "Yes," he said. "Halsey is like a little sister to me. We've known each other a long time."Seeing Calvin so open and sincere, Halsey didn't argue."I

Shaun was genuinely happy. He wished he could throw Halsey both a church wedding and a garden ceremony to make Halsey the happiest bride in the world.Of course, he also wanted to be the happiest groom.Halsey had actually wanted a church wedding, but now that she was more than five months pregnant, she didn't want to strain herself with the wedding planning. For now, the baby came first. She smiled and said, "Let's just do a small garden ceremony."Shaun nodded. "Perfect. I'll have my people prep for the wedding and order the dress. You'll be the most beautiful bride ever!"Halsey hugged Shaun tightly. After such a long love story, they were finally approaching a perfect ending. She rested her head against his chest and whispered, "I love spending every single second with you. You make me so happy."Shaun held her close, feeling the same.-The next morning…Halsey went to Anteoch University. Shaun had already started preparing for the wedding, but her studies couldn't just s
